Schönes Hotel, unfreundliches bis unbeholfenes Personal

Sehr schönes Hotel mit komfortablen Zimmern. Wir hatten für uns 2 Erwachsene mit Kind ein Zweibettzimmer mit ausklappbaren Etagenbetten gebucht und waren mit der Wahl sehr zufrieden. Meine Schwiegereltern hatten das Superior Doppelzimmer, welches natürlich etwas geräumiger/größer war und über einen größeren Tv verfügte sowie mit Teppichboden anstelle von Laminat ausgestattet war. Alles in allem waren die Zimmer gut ausgestattet mit Minibar, Tresor und Föhn. Im normalen Zweibettzimmer befand sich sogar zusätzlich ein Bügeleisen und -brett. Kostenlose hoteleigene Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Das Frühstück war sehr vielfältig und lecker, für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei und es gab auch glutenfreie Produkte. Der Poolbereich ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und war reichlich gechlort, für unseren Jungen war es jedoch eine angenehme Abwechslung. Die Sauna war sauber und einsatzbereit.

Das Personal machte einen recht inkompetenten und unprofessionellen Eindruck - Die Dame beim Check-In vergab zuerst ein Zimmer, welches bereits von anderen Personen belegt war (!!!), abgesehen davon wäre es ohnehin die falsche Zimmerkategorie gewesen. Wie dem auch sei, beim zweiten Versuch hat es dann geklappt. Nachdem wir dann unsere Zimmer eingerichtet hatten, wollte ich einen kurzen Blick in die Speisekarte des hoteleigenen Restaurant werfen, wo mir dann von einer Angestellten auf eine sehr unfreundliche Art und Weise mitgeteilt wurde, dass das Restaurant heute nicht zugänglich sei. Aber es gibt ja in Førde Gott sei Dank viele andere Restaurants mit freundlichen Personal. Lediglich die Reinigungskräfte und der Herr beim Check-Out haben mit Freundlichkeit geglänzt. Neben dem Hotel scheint eine Disko zu sein, sodass man am Wochenende keinen leichten Schlaf haben sollte.

Es war nicht mein erster Aufenthalt dort und ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, gut und gemütlich ausgestattet und ruhig, auch das Bad war großzügig bemessen. Alles befand sich in sehr gutem Zustand. Das Frühstücksangebot war ausgezeichnet. Außerdem war das Parken im hoteleigenen Parkhaus im Preis inbegriffen.

Necessary stop between Alesund and Bergen

This is typically a place where you end up if you don't want to make a travel day of say 10 hours from Ålesund to Bergen. The village itself is nothing to write home about, the hotel is located in an area where they are building wildly and you can see that, nothing fits together. In the hotel itself it was a bit unclear, the extension of the hotel is not consistently incorporated in the signs everywhere, for example the elevator suggests going up to and including the fourth floor, but once in the elevator it turns out that there is also a fifth floor. Dinner was rather chaotic to say the least. The staff employee at the entrance was constantly walking away, then serving drinks and often untraceable. We skipped the buffet, it was not worth the price they charge you. Instead we ordered something from the menu, not very special. The breakfast buffet was even more chaotic if possible: practically everything ran out and was not refilled. The layout of the restaurant made it very restless, people try to find a passage everywhere and only with chairs that were placed very spacious guests managed to stop the walkaround. The hotel room itself was fine, and the same goes for the lady who checked us in, she was very professional and helpful, but the restaurant is really not recommended.

It was OK.

The hotel is conveniently located in Forde for an overnight stay to rest between road trips. The exterior of the building looks great. The best breakfast we ever had in Norway. Free parking. Very friendly staff.

The rooms were extremely hot as it was an exceptional sunny day and the rooms lack good ventilation. No help for the luggage as expected. The fridge in both rooms do not work.

Definately not 4 star worthy

The beds were comfortable and the property had a small travelers gym

The staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, especially the receptionist. I had to request information about the property, such as where the fitness facility was and whether I had to register my vehicle for the parking. When registering the vehicle on their system she would rather flirt with another guest than assist

Disappointing

Breakfast was great!

Smelled like cigarettes (non smoking hotel), thin walls, no view, very little parking, under construction, out of the 4 Scandic hotels I stayed at during this two week trip, this was my least favorite.

Bad customer service

Pleasant staff, clean

I checked in after a road accident nearby. Within 5 minutes, the recovery truck returned and said they could move us to Bergen. We hadn't even had time to find our room. I returned the key card to reception, unused and asked if I could cancel for a refund. They refused. Very poor customer service
