A lovely relaxing break in a very comfortable and clean B&B

We had a lovely stay at the Ravenswood. Our room (4) was really comfortable and had everything we needed. There was plenty of storage space and a lovely seating area. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

Nothing, although I’m not a fan of pre-ordering breakfast, but completely understand why it’s easier for B&Bs to ask their guests to do it.

Exceptional

Finding a good B&B in a sea of B&Bs is hard work, but we were over the moon with the Ravenswood. The location was great, being a very short walk down the hill to the harbour and town centre, with great restaurants minutes away. You couldn't ask for a better location for being close without all the central noise. Our room was immaculate - and I'm a clean freak, so that's saying something - with everything well thought out to make the most of the size. The bed was super comfortable ( despite the sleeptalking, kicking child), and tea and coffee were refilled daily, which was nice. The owners were just the nicest people, and you can see the love and commitment they put into their business. Before they even met us, they offered to collect us from the station, which I took them up on for the return trip, and we were delivered right to our platform... talk about going the extra mile! I can see why people rebook year after year 💕

Short stay but absolutely fabulous

This was a great location. Breakfast was fab and the host was very attentive. Everything about this place was great, very clean, comfortable and we were made very welcome. Only stayed 1 night but will definitely return.

Very welcoming, clean and well presented with comfortable bed and excellent breakfast

it is very clean and well presented. The room is spacious, light and airy. The breakfast was very good. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Some minor things: the light on the mirror was not working, the saniflo toilet in our en-suite was quite noisy. Not for overnight use! Some larger towels would have been nice! There are some steps (and hills) to navigate so it is not accessible for those with limited mobility.

Just ok, not terribly comfortable.

Welcoming staff, a short walk from the harbor and shops. Many eating places nearby.

Chef was away, so breakfast could be ordered at the neighbouring hotel at an extra cost. Tripadvisor saying breakfast included is wrong! Needs new beds, I could almost feel the springs in the mattress. Steep stairs inside, and uphills from the harbor. Parking is somewhat awkward as well, I wouldn't go here with a car again. Tiny bathroom.

Our stay was amazing and that was down to The Ravenswood B&B including hosts in a beautiful location

From the moment we arrived our hosts Raj & Manju made us feel special and nothing was too much for them, the breakfast was lovely and plentiful, with a large selection available, the whole B&B was clean & hygienic through out, the carpet was lovely thick and soft. The view from the window of our room was beautiful, looking over the gardens the other side of the road. If we come back to Torquay we would not consider staying anywhere else other than The Ravenswood B&B.

There was nothing to dislike about The Ravenswood B&B or the hosts, everything was excellent. If I had to say something it would be the walk up the hill to the B&B but however it was not terribly long and the road continued steeper after the B&B. The location of the B&B on the road means its got the views .....the sweet spot. If you were down the road closer to the harbour then the beautiful views would be lost so it was actually a perfect setting.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner of the B&B who was warm and welcoming. The rooms were exactly what we were hoping for, clean & comfortable and we both slept well. Even though there was only 3 spaces in the car park on the back of the B&B, the owner gave us a parking permit for the car park up the road so we could park for free for the duration of our stay which made our stay even more stress free. The breakfast started from 7:30-9:30am, my partner had the cooked breakfast and I had boiled eggs on toast which were both really pleasant, service was absolutely impeccable and the owners made a clear effort to make sure we had everything we needed and more. There was also a lovely selection of cereals, fruit and cold/hot drinks to help yourself from. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay & we are both looking forward to coming back next year!

Brilliant!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in August as a last minute get away. The price was extremely reasonable and the rooms had everything you needed. It’s in a great location, within walking distance of everything. The breakfast was lovely and you could request what you wanted the night before it was great as we didn’t have to think about it. It was served between 8-9 and you had to request a time (I think). There was parking around the back which was good for our little car, however I think a big car would struggle. But they did say they had permits for a car park up the road. There was front and back outdoor seating, as well as a pub behind the building. If you want to visit Torquay I would definatly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay here and we would stay again. Thank you Ravenswood!

it was very friendly the rooms was clean and we were made to feel so welcome from moment we walked into ravenswood, room had everything we needed it was cleaned everyday and the breakfast was lovely no complaints, will definitely be recommending this B&B to friends and family and we will definitely be back great location

bathroom was to small but it’s not a complaint as was so clean and tidy
