A nice building and surroundings
A bar and restaurant are advertised at the hotel but they were not open due to staff issues. Overcharged for the dog.

Excellent breakfast, comfortable room with very pleasant decor. Separate lounge area in our apartment and large bathroom. Staff couldn't have done more for us.
Not an issue for us, but stair depth was very shallow on the main staircase so you have to watch your step when coming down stairs in the morning!

It was a nice building, room clean and well kept, comfortable bed
As a lone female I was shocked to find out the hotel was unmanned overnight, I felt incredibly vulnerable. Also there was no hot water, sign in the bathroom said to let the water run for a couple of minutes to get hot water, after ten minutes I gave up, no hot water no shower very disappointed. Also no evening meal available in a very isolated location and breakfast not served until 8.30am which was too late for me to then leave for work.

Lovely setting and beautifully decorated quiet accommodation. Great breakfast too. We felt lucky to have found this on booking.com at such a good price. Would definitely recommend to friends.
It would have been nice to have been able to have dinner there in the evening

The payment for the dog at £16 per day was over the top; especially as the price was not given until the day after we arrived so that we were unable to find make an informed choice. We have a holiday cottage and don’t charge any extra for a dog.
A small one off fee would be appropriate or a commitment for the owner to pay for any damage or extra cleaning.
Also we had a guest (3) hammering loudly on the door to our room (4) at 8.30 pm and insisting we turn the TV off as the walls were very thin and he could not sleep. To keep the peace we turned the TV off.

Lovely old building in a convenient location for our trip. Good breakfast area and great breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful, can’t fault them in any way.
Stairs are extremely steep and although wide, they are small and difficult to stand upon and use. The room was clean but basic. Both of the twin beds were extremely hard and the pillows extremely soft. Good quality tea, coffee etc in the room.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly and chatty.
Bathroom. Shower screen not suitable. No info on how to use the shower or the screen. Sink small and toilet seat not installed correctly.

The grounds are so lush and beautiful. The coastal inns are very expensive so moving inland was a bonus. Norwich is an easy half hour drive and Mousehold Heath a joy for dog walkers if you need a train connection to London after your visit. It's an easy journey to the coast too. It's a stunning inn which underestimates itself in the photos. The drive is elegsnt, the rooms luxurious, and you can hear the owls at night. Allison was in charge and caring and fab. Definitely worth the money and do try Chubby Panda for excellent Chinese.
The one thing that could be improved is the coffee. Maybe an optional surcharge for Pact Coffee or local artisan filter coffee might appeal.

A lovely country hotel with excellent breakfast included.
It was a shame no one was there to meet us when we arrived at c.8pm, but no big deal!

The location and the age of the property.
Booked expecting hotel facilities and hoped to book an evening meal, unfortunately they only offer B&B and the hotel staff are not on site in the afternoon or overnight. I did see this advertised when selecting the hotel on booking. com

beautiful area, what I would expect from a standard room, clean, very comfortable beds!
We stayed here for a wedding 10 mins away so it was shame there isn’t a bar to sit and enjoy a drink before hand.

Beautiful place, very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were really lovely and wonderful breakfast, would definitely stay again 😊
No bar on sight or opportunity to eat evening meal but we were offered opportunity to get a discount at the sister hotel ( Wroxham hotel In Wroxham), which was really lovely over looking The Broads.

High standard rooms.Attentive staff.
Every journey must be in car as location not possible on foot.No footpaths.

Relaxing. Food was excellent.
Understand it's an old property and only few years owners had it. Jobs to be done but full confidence owner will do these things in time to protect fabric of building. E.g. crack in window

The room was wonderful very spacious and clean with a lovely view of the lawn and wooded area behind the hotel.
breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from .
We would definitely be coming back in the near future.
The only down side we found that the bar was closed and it would of been nice to go down to the bar for an evening drink.

Clean and tidy. Real country cottage feel to it.
Comfy bed and breakfast was pretty good too.
Short staffed. This is no understatement. No reception on duty when we arrived and had to search to find room. Tbf they do acknowledge that they are struggling to find staff.
Sadly this also means that there is not even a bar service in the evening.
That said, it's a lovely venue and very very quiet so still somewhere I'd return to.

We stayed in The Stables, which is a self catering cottage. It was fully equipped, clean, cosy and decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was part of the package and was very good with a self serving buffet. Our dog was also made very welcome, nice touches of treats and her own bed. Very good value for money!
We couldn’t fault anything once on site, just need a bigger sign at the entrance!

Room was comfortable. Location and grounds are pleasant.
Bathroom window had no blind/curtain, so lacked privacy.
Location of property meant not within walking distance to pubs or restaurants.
No staff on site except for at breakfast time, so no access to a bar or restaurant. Made it a little soulless.

Location was suitable, building was nice from the outside.
Interior needed updating the room which we were staying in which was the Lady Hamilton room the windows were letting cold air in couldn't shut the windows properly due to being gaps in the windows very disappointed due to the amount that the room cost per night, the room was disappointing one of the bins needed empty and spiders webs hanging from the ceiling all in all not very good, and to top it off breakfast was not that good, overall not a pleasant stay, very disappointed.

We have stayed at this hotel before so a self service breakfast that was a bit of a disappointing there was no bacon or a chose of eggs , great selection of cereals, breads and pastries but not much if you have intolerance to some foods
There was no even meals

We stayed at Scarborough Hill 4 years ago, and it is clear a lot of money has been spent. The seating area outside was all new and our room, was very nicely done. The extras for our dog were a thoughtful addition. Breakfast provided a lovely selection of hot and cold options each morning.
We arrived at 6.15pm to check in and were greeted with an envelope with our name on, with the room key. There were no staff at all. The thing I did not like was our room door was wide open on arrival. I have various concerns over this, firstly, what happens if someone had stolen something from our room or damaged the room prior to our arrival? Secondly, I don't feel comfortable that other guests can just walk around your room before you arrive and we were informed by one of the guests they had walked around every room. I have a suppressed immune system, so to know people could have been in our room isn't nice.
There are no bar facilities, no food, other than breakfast. This in itself would not be as bad if, there was a pub nearby with good pavements, but there is neither. I am at a loss as to all the money which has been spent making the hotel nice, but guests can't 100% enjoy the location and what it has to offer, as having walked around the acres of beautiful gardens, you are unable to follow this up by a beautiful lunch overlooking the gardens or enjoying an early evening drink. The 10% off at the hotel in Wroxham is not the answer, as this is miles away. It is a shame one of their staff could not come over, to look after Reception in the evenings and get the bar open. There is a lot of potential here, but you do need to think about making more facilities available if you wish to charge tip top prices. Yes, the room was beautiful, the treats for our dog was a lovely touch however, I want to be met by a human when I arrive, I want to be able to have a drink from the hotel bar, and I don't want to be driving out on a cold night to find something to eat, having driven for 6 hours!
