Dinner was fantastic, no wonder they have won awards for their pies!!! Can recommend the steak and stilton, best I've ever had!!
Room was very large and comfortable
Rooms are a little dated but I did not mind that, some might prefer a more modern touch

Good location and car parking. Nice bathroom and reasonably comfortable bed.
The carpets were worse for wear and need replacing throughout the hotel.

We are local so have been to hotel many times to eat. We decided to stay for an evening event rather than get a taxi. The food is always good and always love the carvery.
We had no hot water in the morning and the rooms are in desperate need of modernisation.

Quirky place, lots of little bars in main place. We weren’t actually housed in the main building therefore I sure our room was much quieter. We were next door to the pubs laundry but didn’t hear any of the machines.
Breakfast as expected, helped yourselves, pub meals lovely had main menu and specials board lots of choice.
The very noisy bed! Also the bathroom door only closed from the inside of the bathroom via a bolt once in the main room you couldn’t close it properly.

Friendly staff, nice evening meal
On arrival , we found a pair of trousers hanging in the cupboard along with a hair scrunchy on the floor. I returned both to reception.
We were overall very disappointed in the room we were given ( room 12).
The toilet didn’t flush properly ( which we reported)
The kettle had to be boiled on the floor as the lead didn’t reach the plug socket ( unsafe )
There were no toiletries in the shower room which I didn’t notice until showering on Sunday morning. Since the booking details describe complimentary toiletries, we didn’t bring these with us.
The room was incredibly small with an undersized double bed. We spent a very uncomfortable cramped night .My husband had difficulty getting out of bed as it was flush against a wall. We were unable to watch TV as this was placed at right angles to the bed with a bedside locker in between.
I have since searched on line for reviews and looking at photos am led to believe that the double room we stayed in , used to be a single room.
Breakfast was a disappointment. We travel regularly and prefer a continental breakfast which you advertise. However, your continental breakfast was hardly like any of those we have been provided with elsewhere. It comprised just a box of cereal and fruit juice. No fruit, yogurt, pastries, meats/ cheeses to be seen.
Being a vegetarian, I asked for vegetarian sausages . Spoke to a very polite man who explained he would have to defrost the sausages and them cook them so there would be a delay. I settled with just eggs, hash browns & mushrooms.
We would have expected fresh coffee, but found this was served from flasks
I am disappointed in our stay with you and fail to see how you can market room 12 as a double room. It bears no resemblance at all to the photos of double rooms you have on your website.
On the plus side,we found the staff to be very pleasant and enjoyed our evening meal at the hotel on the Saturday evening.

Room was very good and given a free upgrade, breakfast was great with a large selection
The pressure in the shower was non existent and was a dribble rather than a torrent.

the pub was great friendly staff
the room was small, shabby, very noisy during the night with whirring extractor fans running all night, room above mens toilet which you could hear being used up until closing of the pub.

It was homely, great location
Rooms were quite hot. Windows don’t open well enough , however fans were provided which was great.

Easy journey to and from our Venue. Silverstone Circuit. The staff were excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. Always smiling 😃 polite and went out there way to help. The food is great. They have awards for there pies. Sampled a couple for our meal. Even purchased 4 different ones to take home. The rooms were clean warm and very comfortable. We were leaving on the Sunday. We decided to stay another night. We asked if we could have the same room. Just to make things easier. That was already booked. The really helpful receptionist. Took the time to sort it out at short notice. We got a FANTASTIC room with a Jacuzzi. WOW.... So had our meal and some refreshments after a great weekend. And of course took advantage of the Jacuzzi. Had breakfast in the morning. Left and came home.... Thinking what a great weekend. NB.... this hotel is the Tardiss.... when you see it from the outside... It looks lovely and old worldly. When you venture in.... take a long piece of string. There are so many little corners seating areas and rooms. Really great. Will definitely be going back.

The bell is an excellent value hotel in the centre of a very old town and beautiful countryside

Nice room in the courtyard.
We arrived late and were helped by the night porter who was very pleasant.
Really comfy room, great facilities.
Nice breakfast buffet in the morning. All the team very welcoming and friendly.
Not really any issues at all.
I suppose only thing was that the heating seems to go off overnight. So woke up a little chilly in the room.

it’s a lovely old building .
There was black mould all over the window behind the bed . This is a health hazard as your breathing in spores .

location and beautiful building, staff lovely
lots of lights not working in our room, our room was very cold, hairdryer didn’t work, melted plug to the kettle, reception did change this for us though. couldn’t use the ironing board as it was it an awful state, the fridge was noisy so had to unplug it 🙈

The staff were lovely and friendly. Great big car park. Hotel right in the center. Lovely wee cozy nooks and great outdoor garden space.
Fan in the room which was a godsend as the room was boiling.
Decent 1500 watt hairdryer.
Drinks choice was quite poor for such a large hotel. No rose wine although we did visit just after the New Year so low stock. Lager could've been colder. Ended up going to the shop and buying a carry out for the room.
Bed was uncomfortable. Terrible sleep.
Very small 14 inch tv with poor sound...could only get a few channels.
Very disappointed with breakfast. Cold coffee (yuck). Cold breakfast. Couldnt cut into black pudding it was so hard, bacon was also cold and hard. Sausages were cold and spicy. Loved the hash brownies and the mushrooms. Thank goodness there was a toaster so had toast and marmalade and ate the hash brownies and mushrooms from the cooked breakfast.

It's a lovely olde worlde property with lots of charm and character in a prime location.
The staff were extremely professional, very helpful, pleasant and much to our surprise as we stayed on new years eve there was live music and an extensive free buffet.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and you must try their home made pie's absolutely fabulous.
The weather it rained all day and night, but really can't blame the hotel for that.

Lovely location of hotel, nice and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Old fashioned and quirky hotel which some people may be put off by, but we loved it! Surprisingly quiet at night, even on a weekend.
Beds a little springy.

Friendly staff and excellent WiFi.
Parking was limited

excellent quality towels. mattress was super comfortable. staff were wonderful.
shower was tiny. great to have a toilet and sink in the suit- but a shower this small simply detracts from the good stuff
4.0
Good bar food and lovely old building.
Breakfast could have been hotter with continental options and fresh fruit/yogurt. Window in bedroom wouldn’t open. It was repaired, but kept sliding closed. Therefore very small room was exceptionally hot preventing sleep.

Very cinfirtable old coach house style pub.

The room was nicely decorated and the breakfast and pub was great - good food and drink at good prices. The owner was very friendly, clearly proud of the breakfast and business and all the staff were great. Check in was efficient, and we really felt welcomed. Good parking and lovely central village location.
The room was dirty- our coffee cups had residue and stains in, and the sink had a scummy grey ring on it. Carpets were old with stains and burn marks on. Unfortunately the room was very hot overnight and there are huge grain tractors which drove past early in the morning, making our 1st floor room shake.

Good cooked breakfast with excellent quality sausage and bacon.
Fan in bedroom to help give relief in the hot weather.
Despite the pub being busy, room was very quiet.
Mattress was a bit too springy for our comfort.

old period setting
quirky and cosy
