Lovely friendly atmosphere, breakfast was good but would have liked a choice of cereals. Room overlooked the outside bar which was noisy on Saturday night. A door downstairs that leads to upstairs bedrooms was banging all the time
A soft shut door at bottom of stairs. Choice of cereals at breakfast.

Breakfast was was wonderful, but we did not have and evening meal, you need bigger showers and the road noise was very bad, and because of these two things we won’t be booking a room again I’m sorry to say

Lovely staff
Location of pub
Very good food
Bedroom a little dated in need of an update but comfortable
4.2
close to where we needed to be for our family gathering
4.2
The room was a great size with a large king size bed. Also a large bathroom and dressing room. Being around the back of hotel it was quiet even though the hotel was on a main road.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. The only thing if anything was the menu for something to eat in evening was a little limited and no fruit juice for breakfast.

Good was excellent and v good value
Room finishes. Needs cosmetic care. Sound insulation between rooms is poor.

Breakfast was great. Evening meal was excellent. Waiting staff were really nice and friendly.
Room was very cold - but in all fairness it was -7 outside.

very old coaching inn with character
it was all good

The rooms are really spacious and nice, Also nice to have a couch.. The food is really good. The people working there are also friendly.
I would prefer an extra lock on the door of the roomwhich can not be opened from the outside.
4.2
Owner was very hospitable & helpful, working really hard at all jobs in the inn except the cooking. The full English breakfast was very good. The room was nice with a good hot shower. The location was excellent for our purposes.
The room was nice enough however we found the mattress, which seemed to be a very bouncy spring type, quite uncomfortable for us who are used to a firmer one.
4.2
Very friendly family run pub with rooms.
Plenty of parking.
Excellent location to visit Waddesdon manor.
Decor in rooms a little tired.
limited menu for evening meal but the food on offer was very well cooked and good value.
4.2
proximity to Waddesdon House, Blenheim Palace and Whipsnade Zoo

lovely big room very friendly staff

Great location.

-
- the room window did not close. There was no receptionist
- we had to sleep with the window partially shut and since
the hotel is near a main road, it was really noisy and we couldn’t sleep at all.
- no one informed us that breakfast finishes at 9 am
- in the end, we cut short our stay and left a night early
4.2
Size of room.
Breakfast choice a bit limited.
4.2
All good was excellent. Could not fault. Staff friendly and attentive.
Room was not quiet. Wagons passing evert30 seconds throughout the night. Very hot room. Window would not open.
4.2
Breakfast was very nice and a comfortable bed
Over priced for what it is
4.2
Beautifully furnished and decorated room. The food at both breakfast and dinner was superb.
I was surprised that breakfast was only hot food and toast. It is very unusual not to have cereal, and fruit and yoghurt would have made it exceptional
