From the moment we arrived for our 2 day stay my cousin and I were made to feel so welcome. The Welford is exceptional accommodation very close to the town centre. Delicious breakfast to start our day, lovely clean room serviced each day. The owners went above and beyond to help in any way that they could. Highly recommend the Welford as a place to stay in Harrogate.

Hosts Judy and Richard were really friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was a bit small for a six footer like me and more shelving would be useful.

Great place to stay in Harrogate. Central location - an easy walk from the train station - but the street is quiet. Lots of good choices for breakfast, and very nice hosts.

The friendliness of both Richard and Judy, breakfast was exceptional with home made sausages the room was very clean as was the bathroom and the other room used by us, parking was not an issue as Judy gave us a parking permit for all our stay.
Nothing could have been better I feel we had real value for money.

From the start of my stay to end was superb. Richard and Judy made me feel welcome and advised me where to go for my specific shopping and eating. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was superb especially the homemade sausages. Would stay there again. Thank you Richard and Judy

All lovely and very welcoming.

Located very close to the center of Harrogate, an easy stroll to the town. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice, all lovely and fresh. The whole house was beautifully clean, comfy beds, nice toiletries and our hosts were really friendly and informative.

Everything, the warm, friendly, helpful owners, the delicious breakfast and the comfortable bed. The location was excellent, could just park and leave the car and walk into town.
Nothing, everything was excellent

Excellent location, the owners were better than the location, helpful, knowledgeable, we felt very welcome. It has been said before but to repeat the breakfast was also very good, especially the home made sausages, we have different tastes in breakfast food but both were satisfied. We will look to go back to Harrogate and won't look anywhere else.
After a lot of thought I genuinely can't think of anything, even a minor issue, sorry!

Breakfast was delicious great choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, and little extras like crumpets and streaky bacon was on the menu. The hosts Richard & Judy were great, very friendly and welcoming and made you feel at home. The beds were comfy and the room was nice and clean and compact for our 2 night stay. The shower was lovely and warm although not very powerful but that didnt bother us as the water was warm. Great location in the centre of Harrogate close to all pubs and restaurants and on street parking, would highly recommend
A little more pressure on the shower water would have been good as it wasn't very powerful but i forgot to raise this as it was minor issue but still had such a good stay.

All great. Comfy bed, good nights sleep, good shower, very nice breakfast, with fresh summer fruits and decent cafetière coffee too. Town centre location yet quiet. Don’t get all that in Premier Inn. Someone should tell Lenny Henry.
Street parking costs in the week, being where it is,but it’s on a pay as you go disc scheme and I think the owner keeps some for the guests. Didn’t need it though as stayed Saturday night.

Everything! The loction was far better for all of the towns attractions, shops and restaurants than the big chains. The friendliness of the hosts! Beautiful house and Richards amazing home made sausages (his former butchery experience shows!). Will definitely contact Richard and Judy before anyone else for future stays in Harrogate.
That we only had 2 days there! 😀

Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly owners, offered suggestions on what to do. Lounge for guests. Good location - 10 mins to station, 5 mins to convention centre.

Pretty much everything! The welcome from Richard, his knowledge & advice re. the area. How sparklingly clean everything was, how comfy the bed was, the delicious breakfast…the list goes on!
There was nothing we didn’t like!

The very warm and genuine welcome by Richard and the excellent breakfast. Central position regarding the centre of Harrogate. I would recommend The Welford to friends who may visit the North Yorkshire spa town.
Nothing - it met our expectations and there were no hiccups/issues.

it was clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff that made me feel like I was staying with old friends, I will certainly return and highly recommend it to anyone going to Harrogate 😊
could not find fault

The hosts were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Comfortable room and plenty of choice for breakfast. We would recommend this hotel to our friends. Only five minutes walk to Harrogate town centre. My wife uses a walker, so I usually plan our pedestrian excursions. Harrogate is fairly hilly and the hotel is on a street that slopes down, then back up again towards the town centre. If you're walking to the centre, on exiting the hotel, do not turn right. Walk directly forward at the T junction and head towards town. It's a lot more level.
Parking can be a problem, as there is no on-site parking. There is on-street parking in the area and you need to display a ticket which the hosts will give you on a daily basis. Obviously, when you live in that area, you know the best times to find a parking space. The host was parked directly outside, but as soon as he found out my wife is disabled, he moved his car to let us park there. Good old Yorkshire hospitality.

Very warm welcome by Richard and Judy. Lovely room, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast cooked to order and lots of it! Very convenient for conference centre, station and town centre. A great place to stay in Harrogate.

Nothing to dislike at all

The hosts of The Welford couldn’t have been more welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was excellent with many choices covering all diets and appetites.
The cleanliness of my room was very good with a comfortable bed, and although it had no air conditioning a fan was provided which I found adequate (even in the heatwave).
I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in Harrogate and would happily recommend it to anyone wanting a home away from home to stay in.
I can honestly say I couldn’t find fault with anything.
