Schöne Schwimmmöglichkeit & Lage
Sehr in die Jahre gekommene Anlage, Essen war lieblos und schmeckte nicht frisch. Kein Shuttle zum Strand mehr im Oktober, der Badebereich beim Hotel von 12-14:30 geschlossen.

L établissement est situé dans un lieu exceptionnel avec beaucoup d'infrastructures. Les tobbogans sont top ainsi que le jacuzzi.
La nourriture est très bas de gamme et pourtant nous ne sommes pas difficiles. Les horaires des repas sont très peu adaptés, petit déjeuner jusqu'à 9h30, pas de goûter pour les enfants et repas du soir 21h30.

Not a lot. A couple of members of staff were polite.
The lack of all inclusive drinks, the opening or more precisely the closing times for the pool bars and the over crowded restaurants. Broken toilets and dirty pools.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to go there.

Posizione eccellente, vista spettacolare sul golfo. Le camere sono ampie e quasi tutte vista mare (si consiglia di richiederlo specificamente). Formula All inclusive molto articolata e veramente all inclusive. Ristorante con cucina prevalentemente italiana, di qualità buona e variegata. Animazione veramente disponibile e impianti sportivi sempre disponibili anche per le attrezzature. Servizio navetta con l'aeroporto a prezzi concorrenziali e molto puntuali. Tutto il personale parla almeno 2 lingue e sempre con il sorriso in viso. Grazie dell'ospitalità.
Lo scivolo che va direttamente in mare. Molto bello, suggestivo e con una vista spettacolare ma difficoltoso per la risalita soprattutto per i bambini.

We really enjoyed our experience with Citta del Mare, we liked the sea view from almost all the places in the complex, the large terraces, and the spacious rooms. Wonderful flowers and vegetation all around.
The rooms were clean , fresh towels every day, and the beds were comfortable.
We liked the Sicilian food, especially in the restaurant Sala del Golf , where they prepared fish and meat on the huge barbecue in the middle of the restaurant. The main restaurant was also good, with a wider range of choices.
The kids' club was well organised and children enjoyed spending their time together, even none of them spoke English. Also, Kids' disco was a good idea, but it was too late. I would suggest changing the time at least half an hour earlier, starting at 9 pm instead of 9,30.
The Olympic swimming pool was great, but we preferred the smaller pool for children.
We tried one morning also the beach. It was nice, with sunbeds and umbrellas, but for a family with children was more comfortable at the swimming pool.
We didn't like the ants in our rooms, I think the hotel should find a solution to keep them out. We didn't like the little plastic glasses at the bar - they were too little for the hot summer days and produced too much garbage.
It was difficult to make a reservation for the Pizzeria restaurant or Il Siciliano. The application didn't work, and you have to go to the reception to get it. Finally, we weren't able to reserve to Pizzeria, even though we tried in the last couple of days.

Food excellent and varied, was treated with lobster and oysters on Ferragosto night, but even on standard nights it was excellent. The restaurant booking via the app is terrible so we gave up and stayed with the buffet.
Nice room but spoiled by the inappropriately small shower.
Music too loud poolside.

vacation in sicily was planned only because of this hotel. Totally disappointed, I wouldn't give it 4 stars. every day the same food breakfast, lunch and dinner. the hotel itself is very old, a lot of ants in the room. the hotel is located away from everything, you can only get there by your car, there is nowhere to go for a walk, except for this area. there was no option to go to some other restaurant to buy, because of the location.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The place was always clean.
My teenage son loved every minute of every day. There were activities for teenagers all day and all evening.
For the price we paid and the 4 Star rating, I'd have expected the food to be better. There was a sameness to it each day. The fresh fruit was lovely though.
Secondly, there was a lot of plastic used, particularly the disposable plastic cups at all the bars.

The location and the view was already a value for the money! The excursion to the grottes of Terrasini with the boat (organised by the hotel) was great!
Little information at the reception. some of the staff at the reception was unfriendly. The staff at the bar and restaurant was friendly. The system of the reservation of the restaurant was very poor: I’ve tried five times to make a reservation at the pizzeria and I always received a negative reply. When I asked at the reception they couldn’t help me.

There isn't much to say about the hotel itself. The sea was great, the nature is beautiful (although seems completely neglected, e.g. if you go outside you'll definitely stumble upon trash dumps along the roads and on the beaches)
Crumbling infrastructure: walls that have seen their paint decades ago, hot water in the tap that will always turn cold in the evening. You want to dry your swim pants ? - I bet your dryer stand is broken. The probability of locking the bathroom door in the room I stayed in was around 50% so you better announce your intent to relieve yourself to avoid surprises.
The service is ... interesting. For example they offer fresh fruit every day from 11am to 11:30am. If you do the math and estimate the number of hotel guests from 1 to 2 thousand people, it means that you have one and a half seconds per person to receive their fruit - spoiler alert - many people don't get their fruit.
Jellyfish stings that lead you to an on-site doctor will make you realise that the doctor doesn't speak any English at all, and that their treatment options are - thermometer and cold water (please don't apply cold water)
The shuttle service to the beach is chaotic - buses are small and travel irregular times so oftentimes you have to elbow wrestle your way onto the bus to get a chance of getting to the beach and back before lunch.

I liked the facilities such as the various sports courts, the swimming pools and the activities organized by the staff of the hotel
I didn’t like the fact that they were serivimg unlimited drinks in plastic glass, not sustainable at all. In addiction the quality of the food was so low and the food itself was so bad, they weren’t serving the traditional Italian meals. I wouldn’t suggest anyone to choose this place

Fantastic environment and panorama. The view, the pools, the kids playground are wonderful. Soccer and tennis fields, mini golf. Everything you need to a fantastic holiday we didn't get to try the amazing waterslide cause in may the water was a bit too chill but definitely worth it no matter what. The room was big and comfortable for 3 pp!
The only thing that should improve is the food options.

Great views, clean facilities, clean rooms.
The pools were not heated so we couldnt use it much. Due to off season most of the facilities like Spa, restaurants were not open. Food was only available in one restaurant with not so many choices. Atleast, the Food could have tasted better. Reception Staff were not so helpful.

Food was always the same and sometimes presented cold. No coffee/tea or water in room. Full inclusive but you cannot fill water to take in room. Too much plastic cups used during the stay.

The place is beautiful and well-kept. The staff was friendly and helpful.The food was good and abundant.
Lack of organisation. The check-in process was very long and we had to go through a pre check-in (using pen and paper) before the actual check-in.
The gym is outside and in summer it is too hot to use. Some of the equipment was being vandalised by youngsters. No one was around to monitor use. There were no cameras to capture the culprits.
When I sent the property a question to ask about pool/beach towels, I received a message saying that towels are available for a charge of €15 per towel which would be refunded upon return. I was also told there would be a charge of €4 for every towel change. When we went to get the towels we had to pay €12 per towel (which was refunded upon return). But we had a charge of €3.50 per towel which was not refunded (and this was charged upon collection not after a request for a towel change).
There is an extreme disrespect for the environment. I suggest that upon arrival, each guest is given a glass / hard plastic cup which could be kept as a souvenir of Citta del Mare. Guests will take the cups with them for refills. If cups are lost/broken there is to be a charge for replacement.
There is an extreme waste of food. Scores of plates, heaped with untouched food, are thrown away after each meal. Of course, this is not the fault of the resort but something can be done to discourage this. Servings are very generous and food is abundant so people do not need to heap their plates (or fill multiple plates) as if there will no be any food left for them. In this regard, I believe that guests should be charged for leaving untouched food at their table.

The pools , the Scenery
Our room was too far from to get to especially with kids and husband with asthma. There wasn’t a Variety of food cakes desserts it was the same pretty much stuff every day the quality wasn’t that great food apart from croissants the morning. The fact that we had to pay for our towels to use at the beach and in the pool was disappointed.

The location was good and free shuttle to a private beach was a bonus. Restaurant and cleaning staff are a contrast to the Front desk staff. Very hard working and polite compared to reception guys!
AVOID at all costs! DEFINITELY NOT ALL INCLUSIVE!
The staff are horrible. I understand its wrong to expect them to speak english but for a hotel that's expecting international customers, they dont speak english! They are unskilled, obnoxious and downright rude. I can't remember ever being this unhappy with a hotel in my life.
On the day of arrival, we stood in front of the reception for, wait for it, 1 hour (!!!) with our kids so that they can take copies of our passports (while chitchatting with each other). An actual hour.
We were incredibly hungry and asked if there was any food. They said we have purchase the food and water. We told them its an all inclusive restaurant to which they said its all inclusive only during certain times.
We said we will pay for food to which we were directed to a bar which only had cold meats. NOT A SINGLE VEGETARIAN OPTION! We literally ate cookies with coffee till 7:30 pm when the restaurant open as there is nothing nearby to order online.
Food was shabby. If you're vegetarian or pollotarian (chicken), good luck. There is nothing apart from literally some cheese and lettuce. Not even good salads.
One day we went to the reception and asked if we could book a taxi to go to a Kids Play centre in town. We showed her the address on my phone with google maps. She charged us Euro 85 and booked a taxi. When the taxi arrived, he refused to take us to the spot saying it was too far. So we went back to reception who very rudely told us, it's too far and we have to pay more! We wasted an hour sorting this out when we had already shown them the address. We asked for our money back and ended up sitting in the hotel as there was literally no means of public transport or taxis available!
You get free gins and tonics and beers but can't get bottle of water. Tap water in a plastic cup the size of a shot glass is all you get. If you ask them to fill up your bottle, they refuse and ask you to pay for it.
