good location

this motel is nice and close to everything. The heating system in the rooms were great.

the bedding was rock hard. the fridge couldn't close due to ice build up on the freezer and when I said something they only half fixed the issue and it was backed to being iced up again by morning. There was $100 bond asked and was told they would put it back into the bank on check out. this hasn't occurred and I have had no responses from my messages asking for it to be refunded either

overall very convenient, clean tidy place to lay your head , services offered are good ,

Room was comfortable beds where okay . Off street parking was/is a premium.But they made room for our Vehicle so it was off the street , Excellent. They allowed us a late check in at 10:30 pm , so i appreciate that . all said and done this place is value for money and makes catching the ferry's etc real easy . plenty of things close by to walk to and check out. we will happly use again next time, THANK YOU .

The pillows where very soft (too soft) , Got woken early in the morning as a Group of Motor Cyclists geared up and packed up, Started and warmed there Noisy bikes right outside our room, not cool swearing at each other etc

I’d recommend The Marksman to friends & family

Location was perfect for us, we could leave the car & walk to town. We could order a taxi at reception to get to the airport & laundry facilities were available 😁

Convenient Motel accommodation

I appreciate the Location,walking distance to bars, restaurants and Cuba Street.we liked having 2 separate tween beds , we are girl friends and like our privacy. Having the carpark was ideal. Water pressure in bathroom strong!

I would have preferred to be on a ground floor unit but they were all taken. There is no stove/burners in the unit, only the microwawe.

Great location, but some things were really lacking.

Right in Wellington city so it was close to everything.

Lack of parking was disappointing. First in first serve basis so if you went out and came back you more than likely had to park on the street. Long vehicles were given priority and spaces were reserved for them. Our room had no place to clean our crockery and cutlery - I’m not a fan of washing things in the same room as the toilet 🤮 The room was really stuffy at night so we ended up buying a fan. If you’re going to book this motel make sure you read the room description.

Nice for a short stay

This is a nice place if only staying for one night before going on. There is a lot of positives. We had a family room and slept 5 in it. It was a decent size. The bathroom was quite new and there was toothpaste and toothbrush if you forgot. The small kitchen had what we needed. Waking distance to the city centre.

Be aware that it is quite hot in the summer and you don’t really want to open the windows because of a lot of noise from the big road next to the hotel.

Great location. Would be fantastic place to stay during a cricket test.

Just a couple of really minor things we passed ono the office (squeaky door, shower hot water control opposite system to taps controls)
