Would definitely recommend this place.

Central to everything we needed to be at. It was a last minute booking, Value for money especially for 4 of us. We were within walking distance of the Christchurch City, The casino & there were plenty of places by us to eat at. The veranda was cute, we sat outside and enjoyed the sun while having a few cold ones before heading out. The one bedroom apartment had plenty of room, it was hot inside, but we open the windows, the sliding door & main door to let the breeze in. Perfect fresh air oppose to using the heat pump. Amazing friendly staff.

Måske var vi uheldige pga. sen indcheckning men vi fik et værelse i hjørnet. Der var meget mørkt og der lugtede af mug. Vi havde valgt stedet da der stod at der var køkkenfaciliteter men da vi ankom var køkkenet kun lige til at koge et æg. Meget skuffende.

Could be a lot better, but we did like the bed.

Location was great. Bed and bedding were very good.

Very poor quality finish to rooms. Toilet had hole in the wall, unfinished sistern replacement. Cupboards very old and ill-fitting. Noise from fridge all night. Generally, poor accoustics. Hoons and police noise for many hours. Could clearly hear people in the unit above ours. No milk left for tea or coffee.

Absolutely disgusting. Wont be back and will pass on the terrible service experienced

Very very rude staff. Leaking ceiling. Windows that don’t shut, seal, lock correctly. Dirty towels. Tryed to keep bond for using pull out couch which we stated when booking room and again at checkout. Staff that just enter rooms with out even knocking.

Convenient stay

Packed with facilities. Good space management. Decor are quite new and really clean

Confuse wifi. We stay in the room next to the street so you might here some street voice.

The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful, gave us a room on the ground floor as I have toddlers.

Great stay bad after stay experience

The convenience of being so close to the cbd and other amenities

The email I got afterwards claiming my payment card had not made the payment despite the money going out of my account. They tried to say that my debit card was the problem but in the booking.com blurb it stated credit card eftpos (debit) cash. On further thought maybe this email was a con as I have proof themoney left my account. The bathroom was a problem being so small, but I made do and worked with what I got.

This was a second time staying at Southern Comfort and we were just as impressed as the first time. Great location, friendly staff and a super comfortable room! The modern bathrooms are a personal fave! Thank you!

False advertising!!

It was quiet and good location

The pictures provided does not represent the rooms you get...ours was run down old and worn the shower and kitchen facilities was not as nice as the picture. Very disappointing. Lucky only stayed for 1 night Cutlery was dirty too.

Not great to come back to at the end of a busy day working.

Close to town. Spacious. Great hot water

The room was so noisy, ( we were told by staff it would not be noisy at night), however, the Boy racers and cop sirens went on till near 3 am. A single bed was situated over wardrobe in 2nd room, had to move to hang clothes in the wardrobe, this room had a door adjoining another unit, it adjoined to a bathroom/toilet, the smell and the noise coming through from the toilet was not enjoyable! Forks are so cheap, they bend when using them!

Nice room with everything you need.

Easy to find hotel, close to shops, restaurants and bus stop to town center. It is about 20 minutes walking time to the center. The room was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in the shower. It had all we needed.

Friendly staff, very well stocked Kitchen, comfortable Beds, Laundry facilities on-site,

Room was quite dated and nothing like the pictures (actually our room was the very last picture). It felt quite cheap. The hotplate couldn't reach the plug so had to find an extension. Not a lot of parking for the amount of rooms. No Aircon the one Fan wasn't enough for 2 Rooms so we had windows open all day and night but it was quite noisy with constructions next door. Once all rooms are renovated it should be much better.

good for short trips

- location is convenient - room is large - comes with spa pool - everything clean and tidy - large tabletop for cooking

- the bathroom is always wet, even after we went our for the whole day and come back, the floor and anything we hang for drying are still wet - no wardrobe or similar facilities for hanging clothes, a bit inconvenient - the heater is a bit weak, there is heating mat on bed so it's fine when sleeping, but when not in bed, sometimes it's a bit cold (we come from warmer places so not used to this) there is no partition/screening between the living room and spa pool area, a bit of privacy issue, and steam will go all over the living area

The noise coming from a room above at 1.30am. Yelling. Then woken again at about 4.30 with the woman screaming at the guy. On talking with my neighnbours next morning they had yelled out to them at about midnight to shut up. I mentioned this noise to management on checking out. Not their fault. Made for an unpleasant stay

Awesome for our needs and great location 😃

Offered everything we were looking for as had lots of plans to catch up with friends and family so only needed a comfy, warm room, which we had. Other options gave other options if required.

Had a slight problem with the door but was quickly rectified.
