Nice for a short break

Location was central, beds were very comfortable and I'm a fussy sleeper. Had everything you needed for a short stay.

These are some of things we didn't really like but there's not a lot can be done about it due to location etc. Only toilet is downstairs, no real outside area and the parking spot is down a narrow path

Exceptional

The cottage was great,clean, tidy and well equipped! A perfect location for our needs with a lovely homely feel to return to after a long days walk.

Only that our stay wasn't long enough 😞

Great home for a family stay.

Comfy beds, nicely decorated, functional kitchen with washer/dryer. Excellent location right next to a lovely park/town centre and a one minute walk from a great pub (Red Lion) and petrol station with a Morrisons Daily in it.

If you are over 6ft 3 you might struggle to fit in the shower. The parking space is a bit tight but we managed to park elsewhere very close by.

Great location and really well kept cottage.

Brilliant location which was very quiet but minutes walk from shops and restaurants - beautiful walks from the door and plenty of good places to eat.

I was staying with a friend, so we had a bedroom each. I'm only 5 foot and she's nearer 6 so I took the bunkbed option which is fine for me for sleeping but there was very little storage space in that bedroom as it is so small. It was ok for our short stay but I would have found it really frustrating if staying longer. I like to unpack and be tidy rather than live out of bags on the floor.

it was homely in a great location everything in east reach by foot & especially for walking our dog along by the river.

Property with easy access to Matlock

Loved the cottage itself with it's original features and the log fire was a bonus. Great location and parking was good as we have a small car. You could easily walk into Matlock's center and not too far to Matlock Bath.

Steep stairs to first floor. No good for anyone with mobility problems

Perfect matlock stay

A wonderful cottage and perfect location, I couldn't recommend more highly and can't wait to come back. Thankyou for the lovely extras and the Christmas touches were beautiful. Great for dog as park a few mins away or other lovely walks

We liked the comfortable bed and seating area, log burner, good selection of games and dvds, hot shower. It was really useful to have a private parking space by the front door and just a few minutes walk into the park and Matlock town. We appreciated the little extras, dog bowls/towels/bath mat, milk/tea/biscuits, toiletries/handwash etc.

Fabulous weekend away with friends in a lovely cottage.

Great location, cosy, comfortable and spotless.

Could have done with two folding chairs so all 4 of us could sit round the table for breakfast.

Superb cottage in central location with excellent facilities and attention to detail

This is a gorgeous little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The little extras provided by the host - toiletries, tea bags, milk, biscuits and more are a lovely little touch to make you feel welcome. Very nicely decorated and cosy log burner in the sitting room. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. This cottage is in a central location around the corner from a fantastic park and with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It is still quiet and peaceful on a little side street. We will definitely be back! You will not regret booking this cottage if you plan to visit Matlock.

Very good,. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The parking space is not very accessible with a large car, but we were able to park very close to the property on the road.

Great location, well equipped, would highly recommend.

Lovely and clean. Very cosy and home from home feeling. Had everything we needed. Good location for lots of different days out. Our car was too big to fit in the allocated space but we never had any problem parking close by which was great. Also, it was lovely and quiet which we didn’t expect being so central. Never heard one car. Bed was so comfortable too.

Only a very small back yard (we were aware of this on booking). Just a little smaller than we maybe imagined.

Superb

Really handy location to Matlock within walking distance. Very comfortable bed and a nice little cottage to relax for a mini break.

Car parking was a bit difficult but just the way the property is sat and not much can be done to improve that.

You wont be disappointed with a stay here!

Such a lovely place. Great location. Facilities were everything we wanted and the place had some wonderful little touches that made our stay perfect. Everything we needed was withing walking distance, a guide is provided for local walks / restaurants / bars AND the bed was so comfy I could have stayed in it all day!

Cozy & lovely cottage

Great little cozy house well situated for exploring Matlock area & the Peak District. The house is well kitted out & has everything you could reasonably expect any place to have. Nice touches inc mulled wine, Xmas decorations etc when we stayed. Spotlessly clean & well maintained.
