Great stay, excellent location and very welcoming.
Young lady who greeted us at breakfast is a credit to your company, her enthusiasm and friendliness was more than expected so early in the day. Didn't get her name but believe she said she comes from Teesside.

Room was great
Didn't have breakfast
The receptionist on booking in took a considerable time and tried to charge me twice as much as I was suppose to pay. It took another receptionist to show him what to do also i felt paying for the car park wasn't mentioned when I booked the room.

Ruined by unclean facilities and excess plumbing noise
Central and revamped
Basin had hair of previous occupants in it and wouldn’t drain away - making it unusable . Drains in bathroom echoed all night - like the start of intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. Staff, when told of problems sympathised at the lack of sleep and at the evidence of dirty basins, then charged full price anyway.

Perfect, pleasant and joyful.
The location to the town centre. The restaurant was perfect and not overpopulated and the menu was great.

Nice hotel but don’t book it if you want private convenient parking.
The location. It’s right in the city centre and convenient for everything. The friendly staff. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious (we had an accessible room) and quiet as it was at the back of the building.
The parking is atrocious. There aren’t enough spaces, they are very tight and it is a public car park not one just for the hotel. When we arrived there were five cars trying to find spaces in a tiny full car park. We eventually got a space when someone left. We were told the car park was secure as it was locked from 19:00 to 07:00 but when we passed the car park at 22:00 it was still open. Our room was badly in need of refurbishment. The toilet flush was coming loose from the wall, the bedside light wasn’t fastened to the wall so was hanging down. The cover plate on the bathroom handle wasn’t fastened on. The cleaning standard is not of the standard expected. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly, the handrail next to the toilet had some suspect brown substance on it. There was dust on the bedside tables. There was a tea tin with a few teabags, coffee sachets and sugar but it wasn’t checked as there were opened packets in there. There weren’t any nets at the window, just a curtain, we couldn’t have the curtain open in the daytime if we wanted any privacy as the first floor window was overlooking the very well used staff smoking shelter and the staff looked directly at the window. The restaurant only served chicken or vegetarian/vegan food which seemed very limited to us and might have been why there weren’t many diners.

Great choice of hotel, clean and friendly :)
It was clean and the bar/restaurant area very welcoming and obviously freshly refurbished
One of the reasons we booked the hotel was that it said it had parking which it does but the carpark is also open to the public so we couldn’t get a space at all. This should be made more obvious as I think we’d have chosen another hotel if we’d known as the parking was really difficult to find.
