Prachtige locatie en kamers maar het blijft een massa hotel kwa beleving.

We hebben in 4 hotels verbleven op Zanzibar. Je zag dat de organisatie van Royal het minst op punt stond. Het hotel was te groot. De weliswaar prachtige kamer met zeezicht was op de 4 e verdieping maar zonder lift. Niet zo handig dus. Maar laat dit toch een luxeprobleem zijn.

Im großen und ganzen war der Urlaub okay.

Essen, Personal und Anlage waren sehr gut 👍

Im Zimmer gab es im TV leider keinen deutschen Sender. Am Strand sind leider im Schwimmbereich vor den Liegen immer die Boote gestanden, so das man da öfter durchschwimmen musste 😡. Und schade das der Müll am Strand immer mehr zunimmt 😪

It was not the worst experience for the price we paid!

The location was great, and the best thing I could say about the resort is that it was not the worst for the price we paid!

- Towels are dirty and smell very bad, even after replacing them. - The bathroom water is salty across the resort! - The check-in process took ~2 hours; to be fair, we were haggling for a discount since we had to book another room, but still the process took much longer than necessary. it is basically not efficient. - The front office manager promised us a certain room, but when we went to that room, it wasnt it; they gave us a standard room. Then, they moved us to another room that was supposed to be what we paid for, but it wasnt; I called the manager to complain that not only the 2nd room we moved into isn't what you promised but also has rats moving in the ceiling, he laughed at me saying there are no rats in the resort because he lives here too!!! then, he said that he is tired because he is working since 8 am and that his assistant would move us to another better room. After 3 hours, no one should up! I went to the front office and met the assistant and found out that he had no idea! I complained about the room and almost begged them to at least move us back the standard room we had first, but it was apparently gone! they moved us to another standard room and promised us a suite the day after, but guess what?? no suite was available the next day until the evening lol - Did I mention the how big the resort is and how bad it is designed.. the sidewalks or whatever they are called are poorly designed. you would need to walk a lot to go to the reception or the beach no matter where you are. the last day, i had to ignore those routes and started walking on the grass

Es war alles zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit , ich war schon das zweite mal dort.

Die Menschen die dort arbeiten sind alles sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit Immer mit einem Lächeln und einem freundlichen Jambo wird man begrüsst. Das Essen ist top, sehr vielfältig und auch lokale Speisen vorhanden.

Ich könnte nichts bemängeln. Die Leute freundlich die Lage gut und die ganze Anlage top mit schönem Infinity Pool.

Fantastic beach and pools but too expensive

Fantastic beach and water. Very nice pools for both fun and swimming. Nice, large rooms with balconies. Great view over the sea.

Had booked and payed two Superior deluxe rooms with two beds. Got two Superior deluxe rooms with one bed and the staff claimed we had been upgraded to Superior deluxe. Had to keep the rooms the first night and then got one room as booked but had to live with another with only one bed. The staff is friendly but for some of them it seems to be a bit fake - like something they have been told to say. It's not comming from the heart. Kitschy intertainment.

Staying at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort was an idyllic and relaxing end to our African holiday. Highly recommend!

Beautifully situated on its own stretch of beach with many pool options and other activities on offer eg volleyball, yoga etc. Rooms were spacious and situated so that there was a feeling of space in between different room blocks. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

A gorgeous resort with staff that treat you like you're precious and loved

My stay at this resort was phenomenal! From the staff to the food to the drinks - I arrived and thanked God for allowing me to stay at a place that exceeded every expectation. A special shoutout to Molly who makes the best drinks at the pool bar and all the reception staff who set the tone for such a wonderful trip.

Overall, the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

The food was exceptional, fresh ingredients, detailed presentation and impeccable taste. The service was unparalleled. I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to ensure my comfort. Staff members were incredibly attentive and always went above and beyond to accommodate any requests. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or the restaurant staff, everyone was dedicated to providing exceptional service. The staff's genuine friendliness and professionalism truly made me feel like a valued guest. The rooms at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort were spacious, comfortable, and elegantly furnished.

Improfessional staff at the reception

The guy at the reception during the check in ( arrival during the day) was very rude and Improfessional. I asked to speak wit the general manager he called the supervisor of the reception staff who was not better than the rude guy. Improfessional also and was not even interested to listen to my complain and interrupted me. I never had to deal with rude people working in hotels. The staff at the restaurant bar and beach and the cleaners were nice. However, I will never stay again in this hotel. I am chocked that a hotel with this standard is employing at the reception rude people.

4th floor without elevators? and when its so hot… fitness center is dissapointing, there is fitness but like no center. its an open area and working is too hard when its hot. all tools are outdated and must be cared, renewed.

The scenery is wow the food is mediocre at best

The best part of this resort is the scenery, it is amazing and our ocean suite was really amazing. The staff were so friendly and really tried to make you feel special I cannot speak highly enough of the staff.

The food in all the restaurants on the hotel grounds is very below average. Not terrible just very below average and for the price you're paying you expect more. Lots of birds pooping in the pools, sometimes you'll have to swim past it. Also totally out of the control of the hotel but you should know you'll be hassled constantly on the public beach.

overall it was a great relaxing trip. the hotel provided a lot of activities and entertainment too which was nice. you n

it has multiple pools so one never feels crowded, it’s right on the beach, all inclusive so you never need to carry much on you

the beach itself is not private to the hotel so there are many sellers and they are very pushy. another is that my husband got a stomach bug on the last day, not sure from what, but I asked the hotel if they had any basic medicine on hand and they did not. I was just surprised, with a 5 star hotel I would think they usually have a few things on site to get you through until you can get medical help
