Our party of four arrived at this lovely hotel mid afternoon with the offer of a refreshing cuppa in the lounge while our bags were taken to our room, this was nice as we are all in our autumn years. Our first impressions were that the place was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated and our opinions didn’t change. The breakfast menu is huge, from fruit and cereals to full English and beyond. All of it served at our table and delicious. Our hosts could not do enough for us and we can’t recommend Foxhills of Shanklin highly enough

Neither of us are in the first flush of youth and the owners made our stay a most enjoyable one.

We were most impressed with the friendliness of the 4 who run the hotel who went out of the way to make us feel welcome. The location was ideal for us to drive to all parts of the Island. Breakfast was of high quality and variety and excellently organised.

The owners have obviously put a great deal of thought into how the organise things, and I do not consider there is anything that could be done better.

Don't overlook this one! You'll regret it.

Wonderful hospitality and fantastic 'homemade' choices for breakfast. Really appreciated the special efforts made for one of our parties birthday breakfast - music and bucks fizz and decorated table. Fabulous outdoors with ample garden furniture for relaxing and a drink. A very short walk into the heartland of Shanklin.

We had a very comfortable stay at Foxhills. The breakfast was great, really high quality and plenty of choices. We were made very welcome by the owners. It was easy to walk into Shanklin or venture out in the car parked right outside.

Breakfast lovely - non-cooked breakfast choice and quality superb. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Location very good - easy walking distance of centre of Shanklin Surroundings lovely

Parking was tricky. Needed to turn round in the parking area because we couldn't reverse either out or in. That was awkward especially if there were a lot of other cars.

Staff were super friendly and have really ambitious plans to make the stay even better. The stay was peaceful and the breakfasts were lovely and such personal and attentive service. Plus you can watch the red squirrel make an appearance too

We d love to stay here again and appreciated the hotel team effort

Excellent breakfast served speedily and in friendly style. Lovely gardens and lounge areas. Saw red squirrel even. Good parking and quite close to town.

Our room was a bit small but it was good value and we could have paid more but chose not. It would be good to have a cubicle shower rather than over bath. Winter duvets were too much for this hot week

Excellent stay, will definitely go again and recommend wholeheartedly this place!

Great location, charming old building, lovely atmosphere and super friendly owners, excellent breakfast, nice big room, convenient parking on site.

water pressure in shower was very low and it took a bit effort to get the water temperature right but it was all good and manageable. a small fridge would be a great addition in the room, especially in the summer to keep drinks and snacks cool.

Just 2 things was shower had no water pressure, you had to hug the wall, and we just thought 8:30am was a little on the late side for breakfast, 7:30 would of been perfect,

Anne and her husband were the most gracious, friendly people you would ever hope to find, Breakfast was fantastic. Their were so many choices that one wished they could stay enough nights try them all- They the most wonderful apple juice.

Clean, comfortable and hospitality at its best in Shanklin.

Grand building near centre of town, large spacious room. surrounded by beautiful gardens. Friendly and professional service by a team Ray and Anne perfect at anticipating all your need. Fabulous range of breakfast menu, we can see why guests told us they return. Well done Foxhills.
