Loved the welcome message on the board and the welcome hamper (except the packets of crisps were out of date). Loved the location very close to the town
Not being able to park at The Custards. The bed broke on the Thursday, had issues Sunday and Tuesday when the middle support, kept collapsing. Thursday, Friday and Saturday slept on mattress on the floor.

The location was great!
The bed was a bit too hard for us. Other than that, everything was lovely.

Lovely apartment, clean, comfortable and well equipped and in good location. Received good directions and entry instructions. Great welcome pack wine, biscuits, tea and wine. Highly recommended

Very well situated, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants etc.
There was obviously a lot of attention to detail from our hosts, that made our stay so much more enjoyable. Very comfortable accommodation, with lots of extras such as games, DVD's, welcome treats, fresh flowers, I could go on😁
Having to go home 😁

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Lovely welcome basket, bottle of wine and chalk board message. The little fresh flower posies were delightful too. Near all facilities :)
There was no parking at the property itself, however we were aware of this and managed to find on street parking very nearby without any problem. It is situated on quite a busy road that can be a little noisy at times, however this wasn't the case at night and we were out exploring the island by day so wasn't an issue !

The location close to the railway station and to the supermarket was good. It was quiet at night. The flat was well-equipped and very attractive. Good quality decor and equipment. we felt at home.

We had a six week stay at the property and had a really great time. The property is very central to Shanklin and local parking was always available using the information given by the owners. It is a short walk to the local Co-op supermarket.
The appartment has plenty of space, with a large bathroom/ensuite, we found the bed comfortable. the welcome packs were much appreciated, The owners seemed determined to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Honestly can't think of anything, Maybe the sun which shines into the bedroom in the morning could have been out as often in May as it was in April.

It was very cosy, clean and nice to come back to after a day out.
The welcome pack and chalkboard message were a lovely touch.
The oven. We could not find a manual.

The hosts very kindly decorated the property after I informed them that it was my husband's birthday, and we were absolutely delighted with this. They left a delicious birthday cake and other goodies as a welcome pack too. The apartment was clean and well furnished, and perfect for our needs.
The property was in a residential area, and within easy walking distance of a Co-Op supermarket and other small shops. We loved being able to walk to the beach, pubs and restaurants. It was well located for exploring the island, with the bus station and train station being not too far away.
I'd have probably liked a bit more information from the hosts about the property and local amenities. We have received this information in emails prior to arrival for other holiday lets in the past and found it really useful. I know that some hosts have stopped leaving a folder of information because of the Covid situation, so maybe this is why there wasn't a folder on this occasion.

Fantastic location, in centre of town, excellent facilities and welcone basket, thank you.
Parking may be an issue in peak times, I didn't have an issue and got parked very close by.

The flat had everything we needed. And the welcome basket was brilliant with wine and fruit and hot drinks.
Needed bigger bath towels and possibly an extra one, no where to hang anything, like towels or dressing gowns. Situated on very fast noisy road in the day time, wasnt as noisy at night.

The layout was excellent, very comfortable just like home from home.
The only down side was 0.1% the parking, we were here in the height of the season when everyone wanted parking.

The apartment is a short walk to Shanklin beachfront, Old Shanklin and Shanklin Chine. The apartment was clean and tidy and well appointed.
The property is situated on a busy narrow road, which can be noisy at night, with no parking at all. There is some parking available in adjoining side streets. The mattress on the bed has seen better days unfortunately. It was a small double and we could feel every spring. The only covering on the bed was a duvet, with no other linen that we could find. When the weather got quite warm towards the end of our stay, we sweltered under the duvet. It would also be helpful to have some shelving in the bathroom on which to put all the essentials that women like to travel with! It's a pity the owner prioritised the way the apartment looked instead of comfort and ease of use.
