The owners are friendly and helpful. Nice cakes and lemonade given upon arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable.
There was limescale in sink , shower and toillet. Not very clean…

Lovely couple. Room was perfect. Breakfasts each day were excellent and a superb choice. Good location and easy walk to beach.
Nothing really. Not much to dislike. Had a lovely few days.

Fantastic breakfast options! The St George’s House team are incredibly welcoming. They recommended a lovely walk for us to do and it was perfect location as it was a 10 mins walk to the bus stop to catch the shuttle bus to Isle of Wight Festival. Huge comfy bed too. Super clean!

the location is perfect, you walk 3 min to the cliffs and are within 10 min at the beach and it’s super close to the village centre. there is parking available and treats in the room as well as fresh water and a variety of teas. Mark and Pearly are the friendliest people with lots of recommendations and great hospitality. the breakfast was super rich and we loved the china and cutlery that was very unique and a perfect match for the style and vibe of property!
nothing at all, it was perfect the way it is, would definitely come again!

Homemade breakfast every morning was amazing. Produce from local farms and cooked just for you. We also got surprise crepes on day one and cake given to us to take away when we left. The couple running it were nothing short of delightful. When we arrived we got settled in by the owner with a chat at the bar and a free drink. They knew that we liked a lot of coffee in the morning and so kindly and attentively topped us up multiple times at breakfast with a smile. They gave us great advice on where to go and good places to eat. Comfortable beds. All the little extras were hugely appreciated. From the chocolates on our pillows to bath towels lent to us as a kind gesture. (& bikes offered too) We will be going back! And likely to send parents there for a present too.
Squeaky floorboards and thin walls (so someone in next room taking things out the plug socket at 7:45am can wake you up with a start). This only happened once in 3 nights though.

There was nothing we didn't like.

I liked everything about my stay at St. George’s House! The location is fantastic…on the far shore of the island in a cute town within walking distance of other cute towns. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean. The common areas are comfortable and spacious. The property is gorgeous, with a small backyard garden meticulously groomed, and flowers filling the space. But the best part of St. George’s House are the owners Mark and Pearly. The hospitality they showed me has spoiled me for all B&B experiences forever more. Every conversation with them was lovely. Every restaurant recommendation they made was spot on. Every piece of advice they gave, in fact. And Mark is such a fabulous chef…I want to return for so many reasons, but I think mostly for the breakfast menu! I stayed 5 nights (or was it 6?) and didn’t make it half way through the menu because I kept getting what I had the day before because it was so delicious. …especially the haddock steak (OMG)…you’ve never had a Belgian waffle like theirs, either. I am a bagel and lox snob but even I was impressed there too. Everything was fantastic. Fresh fruit, sautéed tomatoes fresh from the garden. Each table in the dining room had a vase with sweet pea blossoms picked that very morning. I can’t wait to get back there.
Pearly and Mark graciously accommodated my belated request to add an extra day to my stay, but I had to change rooms because they had already booked the one I was in. They did warn me that the room would be warm because of the heating system in the house (it can’t be shut off completely, even in the summer, and the pipes run through that room). But it really was hot! The fan they provided helped, and it is not their fault that the UK was going through their worst ever heatwave when I was there. They did their best. I included this only because I don’t want people to read my review and think, “nothing is this perfect.” Well, it pretty darned well was perfect. 99%.

Good location, plenty of parking, comfortable and friendly. Pearly and Mark were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. Food excellent, cleanliness excellent. We would definitely go back if we visit the island again.
no complaints

Good selection of breakfast dishes.
The bedroom was spacious, clean and very well decorated; it had a small toilet/shower room. The bed was very comfortable. The shower room, which took up a corner of the room, was not large. It has a plastic curtain- not my favourite.
The hotel is a short walk from the Esplanade and Shaklin Old Town, where the majority of the restaurants are located.
The proprietors, Pearly and Mark, were extremely helpful about venues to visit.
There is parking on-site, in front of the hotel and free Wifi.
If you book direct you may get a discount on the ferry price.
Not a fan of plastic shower curtains

The hosts Pearly and Mark are absolutely amazing! I love how they take their time to make sure the guests are comfortable. They greeted us with complimentary drinks and home-bake cakes which are delicious. Breakfast is fabulous and well presented. The room is quite cozy and clean. The location is convinient walking distance to the beach, shopping centre/restaurant and train station. The neighbourhood is also quiet and relaxing. Will definitely book again to this place!

The hosts were very welcoming with coffee and cake on arrival. I had a single room which was very clean and adequate for the amount of time I spent there. Breakfast was outstanding with such an amazing choice, and presentation of the scrambled egg with smoked salmon was beautiful ( and tasted great ).
There were a few stairs on entry to the bedroom so had to be very careful not to fall down them.
4.7
Mark and Pearly were amazing hosts. They received us with a home made Poppy cake and some warm tea. The property was amazing with round the clock hot water, comfortable rooms and the hosts were always there for any questions. Mark and Pearly provided us with good recommendations to visit places and ways to commute while on the island. The breakfast was really good. Pearly made all attempts to ensure that we had a hearty breakfast each morning. We would definitely visit this place again.

You were simply superb host. Highly recommended to any traveler
Everything was fine

we were upgraded as the hotel was vacant for a family event so we were the only ones there. the room was spacious and really comfortable. Pearlys carrot cake upon arrival was the best I’ve ever had.
the only thing I would mention is that we thought hairnets should be worn when cooking breakfast as we found a total of 3 hairs on the last morning in the mushrooms. easy thing to happen though so no real issue.

The hosts were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing. Will be back.

Hosts were keen to supply a good choice of well prepared breakfast and meet most requests. Rooms were well decorated clean and tidy, shower a little small but worked well, plenty of H Water.
no garden area only a very small patio but that didn't really detract from our stay, we were able to take advantage of another nearby hotel

Excellent food

Mark & Pearly we’re perfect hosts, upon arrival it’s coffee in the lounge, wide range of breakfast choices, room cleaned daily to high standard and they always had time to chat (using / remembering guests’ first names). I would recommend staying here, within walking distance of both beach and town centre
