Location and self check in.
The breakfast could be improved. For example a better choice of eggs and some sausages or bacon.

Schönes, wenn auch etwas älteres Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Enjoyed being just outside the town of Aukeryi.

Aurora is frequently observed at the property.
The smell of dried grasses and in terms of lamb’s living place.

Breakfast was amazing, the staff very kind. I definitely loved the hot tub and the location. It was super cool to be there.
I didn't appreciate arriving at the venue and finding out that the restaurant was closed, so we had to drive back to Akureyri to have dinner. Maybe this could be solved.

Breakfast far exceeded expectations. The restaurant was closed but if breakfast is an indicator it is probably good.
Place is truly fair value.
Owner and staff are nice.
a little tlc needed in rooms.

The place is quiet and very close from Akureyri. The hotel is clean, the bed was comfortable. The room are not big but it was fine.
The hotel has nice vibes and the owner is very kind and made sure we had a nice stay. He even removed the snow from our car before we leave.
There is a hot tube which is amazing after a cold day exploring outside.

Greeted with a friendly smile and very accommodating staff. Our room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The amazing breakfast spread, also included, was delicious and healthy. We appreciated the owner’s kind hospitality! Highly recommend if you are in the area! Try their rhubarb jam! It is the best!
A little off the beaten path from Akureyri, but not a long drive to town. The beautiful mountain view makes up for it.

Very quiet rural location. They were very accomodating. Re-opened the hot tub for me. Later, the host interceded with the car rental company so I could get a car with winter tires. (Critical need after a heavy snowfall)
Room was very small. (but clean & comfortable)

You can see that the lamb Inn is designed with love. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and delicious, and the inn is cozy furnished. Per self check in we were able to go straight to our room without complications.
Additionally a ventilation in the bathroom and a hair dryer would be good.

Heidi was really nice to talk to and gave us great advice for our travels.

Friendly welcome as we were there when the owner was there. (We did have to help four guests to their room as he had disappeared when they arrived.) Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We did have a free tot of local whisky from the owner.
The room was cold, with condensation on the inside of the windows. The restaurant was closed, and we had no warning of this - their website gave no indication it would be closed, and we weren't informed until we arrived. The Lamb Inn is a few kilometres out of the town so we had to drive to find somewhere (and the choices in Akureyi were poor too).
The website states, "as indicated by the name, the emphasis is on the restaurant and serving the Icelandic lamb, the term "Inn" bearing an international reference to a place offering food, drink and accommodation." This was not so when we were there! Poor and disappointing.

Not much
There was no reception: you checked your name on a sheet of paper and grabbed the key in a tray. Same with check out, leave the key on the counter. There is a number to call in case you have problems with check in or out. We had thought that there would be a farm with lambs as seen on the website but no farm, and it really seemed like the website used photos that didn't represent the place. Our room was the triple/quad #14, down stairs through a little ante chamber with the laundry facilities, it was very awkward: I've since read reviews that people can do laundry, and in this room, you would be able to hear the cycles. The room had flies, and the ceiling and floors were definitely creaky. There is also a door that led to an back area/gravel drive that was glass and didn't have shut out blinds...so make sure you bring eye cover and ear plugs. The breakfast was so so: toast, ham, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, boiled eggs, skyr, oranges and melon slices, cereal, juice concentrate, coffee and tea. Overall, it felt a bit like the wool was pulled over our eyes with this booking (and for a place call Lamb Inn, there was no sheep farm no many sheep in sight) Maybe I was on the wrong site for the Inn but I definitely didn't see any of the "amenities" advertised. Overall, please read more reviews if you are planning on booking this room.

Great location in the countryside. The restaurant and service were very good.
