The central location is excellent. The young waitress serving breakfast was brilliant. Great enthusiasm and natural hospitaility. Excellent breakfast too.
The welcome could have been warmer. One of the rooms included breakfast, the other didn't. The booking conditions should be the same for the same group.

Right in the centre of town. No car park, but parking a few minutes walk away. Welcoming and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.

Fab location right where I needed it.
Comfy bed, spacious room
I booked a year ahead as a double but by time I arrived for my stay it had been converted to a superior single but still had more than enough space for 2 people.
Lovely and clean, toiletries provided
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again
Friday night on the high street meant lots of noise from drinkers (loud music and singing mostly) until the pub closed so disturbed sleep when I had to be up at 4am but that's more a me problem than a normal person problem! Noise was all done before midnight
An old building meant floors are uneven which could be a problem for some
No real complaints!

Lovely little hotel in the middle of the town. Staff super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast menu and the lady on that morning was lovely! Room not overly big but had everything we needed for our nights stay. Lovely and quiet. Restaurant was closed but they suggested a few places and we had a cracking Italian meal just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Would definitely use again. No parking on site but a car park at rear which you do have to pay for.

Breakfast was very good, restaurant evening meal excellent, bar area pleasant
Room was basically a single room, very little room for two people. Bathroom space very small, difficult to cope. Stairs difficult to access with luggage

Brilliant food at the Regency - Nepali evening meal and also breakfast.
Very noisy bar on our first night but that comes with the territory.
Having to interrupt a darts match to get to the stairs to our rooms.

Excellent service from staff. We were planning to leave quite early in the morning and realised we were not going to be able to partake in the breakfast option included in the price. The staff member checking us in very kindly packed some food items for us so we would have something to eat upon leaving in the morning. This was unexpected but a very kind gesture and showed how accommodating the staff who worked there are.
Nothing to say here.

The staff were friendly, the room was okay for the price.
The pillows were lumpy, no aircon, dated/old bathroom, noisy due to location above a pub.

Central location. Lovely staff. Very good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Comfortable bed.
Shower over bath was hard to adjust to right temperature. Overall it was very pleasant.

Wonderful location in a quiet village. Everything was clean and attention to detail was top notch. The staff was attentive and lovely. Great breakfast and good pub selections! Comfy beds and large bathroom. Beautiful setting and beautiful views.

the food was excellent value and the staff very helpful
The noise was absolutely ridiculous. No hotelier in their right mind would sell a room out to a sixty year old above a very noisy night club. never slept at all until 2am then it started out in the street at 6am. The hotel is being used and abused in the name of profit and has so much that needs doing to it.

We were given the hotel's best room with a lovely 4-poster bed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The entry to the hotel is through a traditional and clearly popular public bar. The best surprise was the attached top quality Indian restaurant Overall, this was a lovely combination of a traditional pub with a good value, friendly restaurant serving excellent food. A lucky find.

The breakfast was good, the 3 rooms we booked were basic but comfortable. All very clean. There was a disco in the bar, which, although noisy had a great atmosphere. The hotel is convenient for the centre of Abergavenny which is a lovely little town.
The television in the family room is tiny and fixed high on the wall just above a shelf, which means you have to stand to see the whole screen! The shower cubicles are small. It was very noisy as our room was over the disco in the bar, which would only have been a problem if we'd wanted to sleep early.

Lovely spacious room, well decorated with great breakfast option.
Noisy bar at night, room was right above it, was hard to get to sleep.

I had no breakfast as had an op the next day. Generally nice decor and comfortable.
Thin walls with music downstairs until 11pmish, then snoring and someone watching a musical with volume up. Couldn't get to sleep until 1am, then a roaring motorbike backwards and forwards through the town and a partying group of people walking by. Too stressful for £65 without breakfast the night before an op. Oh and the loo blocked up after use in the morning. Again stress. Needs demoulding and repointing in the bathroom.

Comfortable, clean room. Helpfull. considerate staff, tasty, hot cooked breakfast.all in all a very nice stay.
Being disabled it was a bit difficult navigating the stairs to our 1st floor room, but the staff were extremely helpful in changing and upgrading our room.
