The house had everything we needed. It was comfy and the close proximity to town was superb.
The back bedroom overlooked a beer garden and it became very noisy. This was during warmer weather and the pub’s garden was very full, but it disturbed our 6 year old’s sleep.

Lovely decoration - we liked the colour scheme instead of the usual bland whites/neutrals. A great location right in the centre of Abergavenny. All very clean, plenty of towels
Limited equipment in the kitchen plus provision of salt and pepper would be good - didn't expect to need to take that with me

Clean two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. Located close to central Abergavenny. Off street parking. Good communications with owners.
Two doors from noisy hotel with outside beer garden.

Beautiful accommodation down a quiet lane - I enjoyed the spacious modern kitchen and sunny courtyard, the central location steeped in history, and close proximity to an abundance of eateries, shops and natural beauty. We did have to put the heating on a couple of times (September) as one of us was feeling cold, and the house heats up really quickly and stays warm. Bright upstairs 'library' for reading during the day. Occasional sounds of lively chatter drifting in from nearby pub and cafes adds to the ambience.
We were visiting a family member who lives in the area, and it was also a good base to visit Blaenavon world heritage site and Raglan Castle, which we did on this visit, by car. We also saw the medieval 'Jesse tree' in St Mary's just down the lane, and Abergavenny meadows and castle nearby.
No microwave - a simple one to reheat drinks and make morning porridge would have been good.
The lighting is beautifully done but there was insufficient light for reading books and newspapers in the downstairs lounge - a reading light would have been good.
To be very picky, the ventilation system of the next door restaurant was a bit noisy from my bedroom (and the courtyard), when it was open, but I don't think it would bother most people and it did certainly did not spoil my enjoyment of the holiday.

This is the second time we are going to the cottage, and same as the first time, everything was perfect! We would warmly recommend it!

Ideal situation in pleasant town. Everything about the house excellent. Had a very good three days stay.
Everything spot on.

We were tracing ancestry and particularly interested in the church - 6 belli Priory was on original church property! It is also within short walking distance of half a dozen restaurants and pubs. We had never stayed in a self-catering appartment and did not know what to expect and were very pleasntly supprised! The picture of the outside does not do the property justice - the inside has been beautifully undated and decorated. We were able to make full use of clothes washing facilities at the mid-point of our vaccation! The kitchen was excellently equiped. We enjoyed a very private outdoor courtyard with attractive plants. Although you could hear the merrymaking in the adjacent pub on the staircase, it was not a problem in the bedroom - we slept well.
We would have appreciated a soap dish in the shower and some shelter in the courtyard for smoking in the rain.

Beautifully decorated, ideal located for Abagavenny. A little sparse on kitchen items, no small bowls, no microwave and dishwasher wasn’t working (no reduction offered). It was really hot when we visited, it was too noisy to have the window open and no fans.
The property backs onto a Turkish Restaurant. Very noisy commercial extractor fan, bright lights and noisy staff. There was also noise from the front of the property. Dishwasher broken, many lights in the kitchen not working so hard to wash up in the dark!

Really beautiful inside, nicely decorated, lots of space for us (two adults, two young kids). Hard to fault the house itself, and good comms with owner. So close to the town centre too, 1 minute walk.
As other reviewers have said, the noise from the pub which has a beer garden that is close by. It gets very noisy until about midnight on Friday and Saturday especially (but appreciate not much you can do about that).
Only other thing is that there’s no microwave, and a few more smaller bowls wouldn’t go amiss (but that’s being super picky)!

The property was beautiful, we were thrilled when we arrived. Plenty of space for me, my husband and our toddler. Loads of social space, plenty of room for storage, loved the reading nook upstairs. Easy to find and it's literally just behind the High Street, so easy access to shops, supermarkets and restaurants!
It's the downside of the convenience of being close to the High Street, but we didn't realise the property backed on to a restaurant and a pub garden. The evenings were SO noisy even with all the windows shut, and both nights (Friday and Saturday) we were woken up at midnight when the pubs were kicking out with noisy singing drunks and car horns beeping. It's not the owners fault, but I wish I'd known before we booked and it might be worth feeding back to the pubs so they can ask their customers to be quieter for residents.
The mattress on the bed was a bit soft for us, but others might like it!
Also, the kitchen was really well fitted but missing a microwave, which made it much more long winded sorting out meals and milk for our toddler!

Good size property
Parking for small to medium sized car.
Helpful owner
Noisy at night, from the local restaurant and adjacent pub. Central but I'd prefer to be somewhere quieter at night.

Could have a later check out time.

Great location perfect for us. Was able to speak to the owner about a small difficulty, resolved very quickly. This is a lovely property well furbished with lots of room. Nice touch to find some tea milk and snacks on arrival. Thank you.
The only shower is in the main bedroom en suite as the bathroom has a bath but no shower or handheld so slightly inconvenient for all four of us. But didn’t detract from our stay.

Location was great. There is an excellent bakery around the corner.
There is a beer garden attached to a nearby pub. The weather was good so the noise outside was very loud until 11.30pm most nights.

Great town centre location, easy parking and plenty of internal space.
Had to replace 4 lightbulbs upon arrival and the smell of the local restaurant staff smoking in the alleyway, adjoining the property. Also no teapot provided!

Great location and a great little cottage. Although not there long we had a very enjoyable stay.
We didn't get to find a use for the upper floor seating bit and thought a day bed solution would have suited 4 males better.
