Close to Taj Mahal with exceptional breakfast choices

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff

The staff are very polite and caring and do all they can to make your stay the very best. The hotel was clean and had great facilities. The food was lovely and breakfast had a great choice. We spoke to one of the amazing chefs Trophan who was so friendly. We would recommend 100%

Room and hotel were fine but the breakfast was a disaster.

The room was tastefully decorated.

Breakfast did not live up to expectations. It was busy so we were seated in the Indian restaurant section, which was fine, but the service was particularly slow. Ordered two omelettes, one came out after 10 minutes and the other was a further 20 minutes after complaining to the staff repeatedly. Had to then wait a further 10 minutes for the coffee by which time we were fed up and walked out.

Disappointing

The breakfast manager and stuff were accommodating and welcoming, we asked for takeaways for our breakfast to take with to the tours and they were helpful. The entrance guards are welcoming

1.I requested a non smoking room and was placed on a floor with smoking rooms. With a mix of the stuffy floor carpets we woke up very blocked and out sinuses acting up. The carpets and walls need to be cleaned on the 3rd floor. 2.The rooftop bar was also not as impressive and the pictures, I had a long Island cocktail that was horrible. The front desk staff could be more welcoming and engaging.

Nothing at all

We had our booking done in advance, but still when we reached at the time of check in, they made us wait for 1 hour! The rooms were not ready and no one even knew the reason

Good value but not a 5 star

Location

All the finer details about a 5 star - old towels, staff lacks training, non-Indian food was poor, even the coffee was devoid of any taste. Fitness center looked like it had been abandoned. Bottles strewn inside cabinet, no lights/aircon .

Perfect location for the Taj Mahal

The perfect location for the Taj Mahal. The common areas of the hotel were beautiful and comfortable, I would stay here again.

The food could have been better, we choose our meal from the al a carte menu, we probable should have went with the buffet. We also ate 30minutes prior to closing

Not like other Taj properties

Large rooms

Not what I’d expect in a Taj hotel. Staff was a bit chaotic. I had to ask for a rollaway bed (which I asked for at time of booking) 4 times before receiving it. We had to grab our own luggage when we were trying to leave (this was the only way someone came to help us). Check in was slow and chaotic.

Guter Aufenthalt in Agra

Gute Lage des Hotels, ca. 1,5 KM vom Osttor zum Taj Mahal. Pool auf dem Dach incl. Restaurant war super, Zimmer groß und sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen

タージマハルにとても近く周りの街も面白かったです。ドアマンの方もとても雰囲気が良く幸せでした。ウェルカムドリンクもあって、ロビーの雰囲気もとても良かったです。お部屋もとってもゆったりしててきれいでした。

チェックアウトしたばかりなのに、両替をお願いしましたが、できないと言われとても困りました。部屋のダブルルームの予約ができていなかったので、電話で連絡しましたが、なかなか対応してもらえず。結局フロントまで行きました。その後は対応してくれたからよかったのですが。

Just don’t book. If you decide to book, good luck

Food was Okish, location was nice for Taj Mahal, gave us a early check in

Everything that could go wrong went wrong: 1. Hotel is old and in need for refurbishment. We where given a room that smelled badly, and the hotel staff tried to cover that with perfume. They changed our room, and it had horrible acoustic: we could hear everyone on the corridor, as well as music coming from the terrace. 2. Check on took about 30 min, during which we stayed about 20 min seated while they figured out something. 3. Staff just didn’t care about the guests. Overall the hotel felt abandoned by the owners, and is more close to a 3 star hotel than a 5 star that they are currently classified as. Just don’t book. If you do decide to book, good luck

Great experience, will come again.

1. Staff. They were courteous, efficient, and helpful. 2. Services. All promised services delivered. 3. Site. Location was incredible. Easy commute to the Taj Mahal.

Non-vegetarian buffet were choices a little sparse. However, more than made up for if you order in room dining as we later did, or a la carte.

Stunning pool view but not a 5* quality hotel

The swimming pool and the view of the Taj mahal are simply stunning.

The staff are nice but poorly trained. The bar staff upstairs are good but the breakfast and dinner staff are clueless. They didn't get a single drink or food order correct in our stay. The staff's English is poor and the quality of the food is also poor for a 5* hotel. The bed was actively uncomfortable with a massive indentation on one side. These are all resolvable issues but frankly this is not a 5* hotel currently.

Taj hotels make you a feel like a celebrity.

Everything from location to property itself, its rooms, meals, its staff almost everything was excellent. Special mention to the very impressive hospitality by Palato restaurant's manager. The food especially South Indian cuisine was very tasty. The top floor Sky Lounge had a pool overlooking Taj. It is really a sight to behold. Nearby attraction is Taj Mahal itself (about 1 km from the property) and Taj Nature Walk, a serene forest park for nature lovers (about 5oo meters). This would was my first but stay at this hotel and with my overall experience, I would be staying here again.

Bed and pillows were too soft.

Totally worth every penny!

The staff was really helpful from beginning to end. It was truly a 5 star experience. The food was great, the room was a great size, the cocktails in the taj lounge were excellent. Honestly, everything was great!!!

I loved everything. This was my favorite place that i stayed at in india.

Everything was perfect. Big room with good quality bed, bedlinen. Very helpful staff. Our train to Agra arrived with huge delayed so we couldn’t have the dinner coming with the selected package but they offer us in exchange lunch on the next day. The food at the restaurant simply marvelous, very ample selection of food and drinks. Good swimming pool and fitness center. Very close to the dropping point for Taj Mahal commuters.

A short but pleasant experience

Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast was fantastic and had a great selection. The staffs were very nice and helpful.

There were lots of mosquitoes at the entrance when we arrived and it was even hard to stand.

Extremely well maintained hotel that mostly delivers a five star Taj experience except for some unfortunate shortcomings

Extremely well maintained hotel and mostly delivers a five star experience that one would expect. Great view of the Taj from the rooftop.

The only thing that didn’t go well in our entire stay was when my wife spilled her coffee at breakfast. Instead of coming to her assistance, the staff just stood by and watched. Later they said they would call housekeeping, but still didn’t lift a finger to help clean it up. When I got there, my wife was upset and was heading back to the room to change. And the staff had still not started helping with cleaning up the mess. I finally ended up wiping up the mess so that we could continue with the meal. Shockingly poor service in just that instance for an otherwise five star hotel.
