The room itself was cheap and basic, but given I was going to be asleep for about six hours, that's pretty much filled our requirements.
A group of us were playing in a tournament nearby, so really were just looking for a cheap and convenient place to stop.
I mean, there's not a lot to say really. The pub downstairs was great, with a really good selection of beers. However, they only seem to serve food on a Thursday which is a touch random.
But yeah, will stay again.
I'm a skinny chap, and wouldn't have wanted to have been any wider to fit in the showers.
But really, for the money, did what we needed.

It was fine but the area is a bit depressing
Dusty

I understand the average customer rating for this establishment is about 8.4%. I am giving it 9.0%. You pay for what you get these days. Around 7-8 yrs ago, £40 would have got you a bed and breakfast. Not any longer. £40 for here is spot on as its a bedroom, very clean, tidy, with an opening window, wardrobe, tea-coffee, kettle etc, that all work, a small fridge and very clean and comfortable bed linen. The bathroom and nearest hand-basin was 50 yds away, but I knew that when I booked. Its an excellent place to stay for hand-pumped ale, choice of 9 and there are hot bar snacks too. Plus 3 take-aways opposite the pub. Parking is 500 yards away so not ideal for disabled or those who cant walk far. Steep staircase to the rooms too. Bar staff brilliant, friendly and helpful and the owner rightfully proud of what is has built. Highly recommended place, without the frills of breakfast etc. Beer enthusiasts venue definitely.
Nothing. It is as described. An ale lovers paradise.

Very friendly and helpful staff
I hadn't realised there was no toilet/shower in the room. While the communal toilets and showers were clean it was a bit of a faff getting up in the night! Also, in my room I couldn't get wifi (I had to stand a little further down the corridor)

Able to sit downstairs during the evening, the room and bathrooms were clean and kept tidy.
there was a party in the bar area that went on quite late, but I was told that was a one off. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but absolutely fine for one night.,

Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good location for what we needed, which was close by to family. Having a little fridge in the room was handy, especially as the room.was so warm!
The curtains were pretty useless.
There was no.water in the rooms, went to fill the jug that had been left but because of the fixture of the taps was only able to fill the jug about 1/3 full... not enough for two.

Location ideal for what we wanted just for 1 night
Room had very low ceiling making it seem claustrophobic and bed was uncomfortable.

The location was handy and parking wasn’t too far away.
The bed was really squeaky which made for a disturbed night’s sleep.

First of all I turned up to check in I was told by the staff member that was behind the bar I have to wait because she has to serve drinks first stood for 8minutes in the pub like a lemon then was called to check in.
The room number 9 has no windows was boiling hot , you can hear everything that was going on in the next Room. The bed so squeaky, any movement you make it squeaks so loud , to the point I had to sleep static not to cause any noise. The bathroom doors you need to be muscled to be able to lock them. But once the pub shut and the one in the next Room decided to sleep, it was quiet.

A small room with basic decor and facilities, but exactly what I needed for a one night stay. I don't need luxury accommodation and am certainly not going to pay for it!
The bed was rather soft, although I slept well, so no issue.

Arrived early at 10.00 manager came to my rescue and let me book in. Great service. I would definitely stay again.
Unfortunately I'm not into football so had to suffer the chants and songs by very happy England fans (guests and customers) this went on for several hours.
