Great location and very nice staff.
The service was very disorganised. We were charged extra for breakfast because there was no menu (except in rapid fire Spanish which my native speaking husband could not totally understand) and we ordered something not included (and the order came out incorrectly), no one knew the prices of drinks in the reception fridge, they couldn’t check us in properly (it wasn’t explained why) and despite not getting a TV remote we were asked where it was on our checkout quite a few times. All lovely exchanges but a bit annoying.

There is 24h reception and the staff is extremely nice. Breakfast is included and the location is the best, only 2 blocks away from the cathedral. The room was nice and clean. We recommend it!

Located right in the center; hot shower; quiet at night
It's a bit worn out; breakfast is poor; we paid a lot during cuenca festivities (over 100 USD for a double room) without receiving the quality you'd expect for that price (there was no drinking
water in the room; no toilet paper..)

.
The staff member asked us to pay for the commission they had to pay booking.com to cover his costs. We paid the rate. We paid the tax and we were asked to pay his costs.
When we refused, he then asked us to cancel the booking price and book again direct which was $7 extra (the equivalent to his commission on booking.com) meaning we would still have paid the commission even outside of booking. So dodgey.

The hotel was well located but, rooms were very poor. Sheets were very worn, stained, dirty and had hairs and other big looking derbies on it.
Service poor, rooms dirty, linens and towels stained and very worn.

Fantastic location!! Breakfast was good, bed was comfy. There was a mini fridge and microwave in our room. The whole building was clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wifi was iffy at best, consequently Netflix buffered a lot. Lighting in the third floor stairwell could be improved. Since it is an old building, outlets are not necessarily conviently located.

Great hotel location right in the heart of the Historic City Center. The area around the hotel is safe and convenient, there are a lot of shops and restaurants around. In general, the hotel’s interior courtyard design is nice. The room I got was huge (somehow I got upgraded for free to the largest 2-bedroom unit with 4 Double Beds). I paid $24 per night, and I find this deal great and super reasonable. The hotel has a pretty flexible guest policy (you can bring guests any time of day to your room with no additional charges).
Front desk staff did not speak English at all. The rooms need to be updated, they are kind of crappy and super basic looking. Uncomfortable hard beds. Super tiny bathroom in my room. Awful cheap bathroom amenities (actually just a bar of soap and shampoo, nothing else was there). No towels in my room (even the next day when a housekeeper came to clean my room, she did not leave any towels), so I had to dry myself using a sheet from one of the beds. Super slow Wi-Fi.

Breakfast was good - simple but filling. The service was exceptional and really friendly. The rooms were clean and comfy. And the location is awesome.
I don't know if the "King" bed is really that size or not but it was still cozy.

Everything!
-Perfect Location
-Big Rooms
-Hot Water\Good Shower
-Good wifi
The accomodation had an in-house laundry service, but they charged super weirdly, 25c per item.... which adds up very quickly. We found a laundry service down the street that charged per kilo for significantly less.

Clean, spacious, good breakfast, comfortable beds, friendly staff and great location.
Good value!
