Breakfast was lovely, would’ve liked a little more variety. The showers/ bath water was nice and hot and the pressure was amazing.
The WiFi in our cottage was not working
Would’ve liked an iron for clothing

No presence of staff. Attempted break in at the paperbark lodge. Early hours of the morning two men came to the rooms we booked. Tried to open. Ladies inside were terrified. No staff to help. Was absolutely cold no heating in the room around 6 the manager said he was getting gas for the heater it never artived.Needed help getting to the lead wood lodge at night. Asked someone to eskort us, he said to me yoir car has lights! No one could help. We got lost in the bush. It was like a suicide holiday. As soon As day broke, we were out of there. Worst holiday I ever experienced. Please advise guest to not go there, it is not safe.

Breakfast was excellent and location was stunning. Staff are friendly and well trained. Rooms are clean and well kept.
Load shedding happens In quiet long periods and there is no generator at the lodge. Need a play area or game room for children.

There was no running water from 5pm on the day we arrived until 5am the following day.. No one informed us upon arrival that there was any issues with water, we only found out that there was no water in our "luxury suite" when we wanted to shower after a long hot day in the sun. We then proceeded to enquire multiple times as to when the water would be fixed and were told they are sorting it out and it would be sorted by 8pm. However, as stated above the water only came back on the following morning at 5am. Therefore, resulting in us having to go to bed sweaty from the days activities without having had a shower! When the water did come back at 5am we tried to run a bath however, the plug for the bath did not work properly and therefore the water kept draining. I had book the one night stay at Leadwood Lodge as an engagement celebration as we had gotten engaged in the day while at Tala. An evening that was supposed to be a celebration of our engagement ended up as a very disappointing evening due to the lack of running water! This is truly unacceptable considering Leadwood is advertised as a luxurious experience, which it was not at all for us!!

Every thing was lovely in the resort except for the bathroom
The toilet had a peculiar smell and I complained multiple times , it did not smell clean . They mentioned that they use biodegradable materials to clean , perhaps they need to find a cleaning material alternative. The room smell then became horrid due to this

The facility doesn't have a generator for load shedding, no fridge or irons in the rooms.

The view was amazing from our room and staff very hospitable. Really also enjoyed doing the game drive in our own car. It was quite easy doing the game drive with the marked boards
Disappointed with the variety of options for breakfast. Thought for the price that we paid, we definitely expected more from the breakfast they had to offer.

Excellent value for money. Beautiful rooms and delicious food. The Staff were all very friendly and attentive and always went out of their way.
We spent 3 nights here for a short honeymoon and the location is a great stop between the Drakensberg and Durban.
