A stay at the Plataran is always lovely. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and peaceful, the location is central and the staff are lovely. I really enjoy that there is always space at the pool and you can walk around the beautiful grounds and enjoy bird life and a feeling of being in nature.
Afternoon tea is offered, but there wasn’t enough seating for all guests on one of the days we visited so we missed out.

Great location, comfortabe stay, helpful staff. Gusti was so helpful and respectful.
The vegetarian food choices are less.

The hotel was superb – a quiet oasis in a central busy location.

it’s beautiful premises, very picturesque. The hotel staff is amazing, very friendly and very helpful, really enjoyed interacting with them.
the property isn’t well managed, most of the electrical stuff don’t work, it’s not clean, and safety is not a priority. It’s an old property, but that’s not an issue - the issue is the management doesn’t maintain it well. For example: wires of the lights are connected to each other with scotch tape, lampshades are wobbly, insects on the bed, bird poops on the table.
also the breakfast is very basic for such a price we pay, if some dishes in open buffet finishes it takes ages to replenish it. last order for room service is 11pm, which is too early.

Great welcoming staff and overall care throughout our stay. Really made us feel comfortable and special. We celebrated a birthday whilst we were there and the team decorated the room to help us celebrate.
Swimming pool temperature was a little too cold.

Very authentic, great location, comfortable rooms with lots of character. Not a impersonal chain hotel but more like a boutique hotel with very high standards. Food at restaurant for dinner was very good. Great service. Fab spa treatment. Lovely staff

Breakfast was good, but not spectacular. I felt it was perfect for me. Nice combination of choices for traditional Indonesian and Western tastes. Service was always extremely friendly and accommodating.
I did not care for the restaurant for dinner. There were much better places in town.

Great location, clean and very helpful staff.
Very nice rooms, with plenty amenities. Room cleaning was perfect.
In the centre of the busy Ubud, but hidden deep inside and potentially can be fairly quiet (if no construction works).
Room was facing other building, unless you keep curtains closed, expect very little privacy.
Came 30 minutes before the breakfast time ended, food was cold.
Contruction at the site. Circular saw sounds etc...

Staff were really cheerful and friendly, greeted us by names for the whole stay, made us felt welcoming.
Complimentary afternoon tea and daily activities were definitely a bonus.
Breakfasts were ok
The room we're staying looked worn (but everything was functioning normally, lights, strong a/c, kettle...)
The shower curtain kept dripping water to the floor no matter how careful we were.
And our key cards were not functioning for 2 times, and couldn't be fixed immediately

very well maintained property amidst green plants and trees. there is a green tunnel which makes one feel closer to nature. golf carts take guests and luggage to the rooms . open view called The View is where buffet breakfast is served overlooking the rice fields is an amazing open space. The resort is very strategically located where all the cafes and bars are located. there is also an activity list available from the hotel . the lobby is being built so the checkin process is through a bar and then to the lobby area. housekeeping services is extremely prompt and service is excellent. special recognition to Gusti Petriwan and Puspa for being so cooperative, flexible and having a willingness attitude to help. the experience was better with their support.
Quality and Quantity of food . this was overcome by the fact that there are several good restaurants, bars and eateries near by .

several pools which is nice. breakfast has lots of options and nice fruit. Yoga barn is walking distance, which is convenient.
lots of parties/music events nearby and yoga barn music was very loud; everyday only two times to refill water is quite ridiculous. the two glass bottles they provide in the room were small (i think maybe around 500ml per bottle) and we had to ask for refill all the time......... and also being reminded that only two refills are complimentary.
Morning yoga session is not professional at all so if you are yoga practitioner, consider attending class elsewhere.

great location for restaurants and friendly staff
first of all there is building work at the back of the property which our room overlooked which isn’t mentioned when you book or shown on the photos - it looks like it’s isolated and believe me it isn’t - they are building a wedding venue - a big one - so when you see the pics and it overlooks green forest well
it did but not so much now
Our biggest issue is and was the bathroom was dirty - even when we asked for it to be cleaned at 9am when we came back at 6 it was still uncleaned . Brown dirty sealant round the bath - and I mean months perhaps years of not been cleaned , brown marks on the tiles near the toilet , my husband wiped some of these off prior to contacting reception, very questionable 🤢Toothpaste on the walls shelves so dusty you could write your name on . They did eventually come and clean but having made a big issue of having a chse cert I did wonder ? The bathrooms need a desperate refurbishment.

nothing so prefect

Well located, clean and spacious room with 2 bathrooms, good breakfast buffet and friendly staff.
A monkey (or other animal) caused a ruckus during the night and was slamming on our walls. The key cards also got deprogrammed (and we couldn’t access our room) and the staff couldn’t fix it for a day.

Everything was great.
