Perfect backpacker!

Very friendly staff, shoutout to Benjamin and Kirby (sorry not sure of how you write it) who both have been very welcoming! Location is perfect, everything you need within the hostel or a 2 minutes walk!

Cool place between the mountains

There is a lot of extra stuff like a hot tub, free popcorn, and free soup in the afternoon. Communication with the reception is great. Location of apartments very good. The room was small but fine for 3 people.

There was a bunch of some metal, dusty scrap in the corner of the room that I guess was a decoration, but makes rather sad impression. Apart of that everything was fine.

Geat place to stay, great staff. Would choose it again to stay.

Breakfast choices were great to suit most people. Friendly staff. Location was perfect near the Glow Worms track. Great suggestions from the hotel management on where to go. Loved the place and would choose it again.

Was difficult getting parking inside but plenty of parking on the street to compensate.

Lovely place to stay for a few nights - even for oldies 😀

Lovely hostel like place right in the centre (but not noisy at all). Everything you needed was there - from teaspoons up to saucepans. hot showers (and even a hot tub)

Only drawback was that the hot tub was literally in the middle of the car park.

Awesome and cozy lodge in Franz Josef. Familiar, easygoing, and with a remarkable staff. Delicious night soup and free breakfast.

wonderful place to live

Hot tub is an amazing facilities in the backpacker hostel. The price is very satisfying.

I think the bathroom is small, but it is enough to use.

Benjamin is an excellent host, the free breakfast and the warm soup are very welcome after a day of hiking. Also a freely availavle hot tub to warm up and a very social athmosphere make this place special

good location and property but needs a lot of improvement for furniture and services

hot water pool, location, common areas

the beds were squeaking very loudly with slight movement (bunk bed in room number 12), and the washroom door also made noises while opening and closing. we had booked a family room for 4, and we couldn’t sleep the whole two nights. the breakfast served was very average with just cereal and bread.

soup on arrival for tired travellers

Benjamin was great, what a star. You can tell he loves his job and talking to people. it’s a small property so showers were close to my room which was awesome. I really appreciated the soup on arrival as I was exhausted!

great central location well prices with very friendly helpful staff. Shared common room and kitchen food. Free soup and basic breakfast a bonus

very creaky / squeaky bunk beds! they need replaced badly kitchen facilities a bit cramped when busy

Free popcorn, a buffet breakfast, free soup, and a conveniently located hostel.

Staff were very helpful. The kitchen was very clean. Free breakfast and free soup for dinner was nice. The dorm rooms were not overly comfortable and were a little loud. The private rooms were very comfortable though and quiet. Having an individual fridge in the room is a good idea.

The room did not have any fans and it was hot. Due to this, we had to sleep with the windows open, which was a little loud as people didn’t go to bed until after 11pm/midnight.
