Would return to this motel.

The Miners Rest is a traditional style motel, and it was an interesting place to stay. Situated out of the main town centre, it was crowded and busy on the one night we stayed there, with many local people socialising and dining in the large dining room. The room was adequate and comfortable, the bed and bathroom clean. It was convenient and safe, with car parking provided outside our room.

Take no prisoners

Well, we liked that fact that it was a functioning motel in Kalgoorlie. That's about all the positive thing we can say about it.

The fact that they have zero compassion towards their customers. You will be treated like a prisoner, and them the guards. And they will make sure you feel it.

Good location with friendly staff

Great location being attached to the pub.

The staff member who decided it was a good idea to blow the dust off the driveway at 7am, blowing dust over cars in the carpark.

Our stay was good.

Location is good. Loved the restaurant and the food was delicious. I ordered meat lovers pizza for my daughter and that was the best pizza ever. The chef special was great loved it.

I didn’t notice a sign for the Reception had to go around looking for we’re to check in.

Around 330pm on day of check in I was getting changed in my room and an employee unlocks my door and walks in on me changing and says sorry and leaves! No knock on the door or anything just unlocked door and walked in. Very embarrassing! Also room smelt like cigarettes

We gave 24 Hrs notice that we would be staying there, but the full rate was charged, in spite of the fact that it was hard to get a booking anywhere in Kalgoorlie at that time (school holidays). While we know this is your policy, most establishments are willing to accept 24 hrs notice. And then we have been pestered to write a review. So, here it is!

Stay here ONLY if nothing else will n Kalgoorlie is available.

Staff were friendly.

Ridiculously overpriced due to being a busy weekend in Kalgoorlie. But in no way did it represent the value of the room rate… which the room was a genuine 1970 motel room that while clean was more than basic.

Simple clean motel. Serves it's purpose. Mainly used by mining companies

Not an issue for me but if you're a light sleeper mining utes and 4WDs reversing with the beep beep sound outside your motel at 4am may upset some.

My expectation were not high. I wasnt dissapointed.

Vehicle noise from nearby road. Writing desk is small Budget facilities. Pub restaurant 50m away.

All good

All was good. We stayed just one night. The room was clean. The furniture is not new but nice. I would stay there again if I had to go to Kalgoorlie.

over the head are lights which are build in wooden frame. If I wanted to sit on the bed, the frame is in the way. No big deal. Only I believe it should have been higher.
