Disappointing and not up to standard.

The view was great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful.

The room is tired and the touches are missing which I would have expected for the price. We came back during load shedding with no emergency lighting and it was pitch dark. Room did not have the flashlight. Getting solar after I’ve left doesn’t help me. Emergency lighting is not hard. bathroom is tired. The TV is tiny and hard to see from the bed. Outdoors is a mess. Umbrella not up and no umbrella stand. Wooden chaise which are hard and no cushions. Why no decent chaise lounges and no USB plugs. Basic touches are just missing compared to similar I have stayed in

The view was very good breakfast good

Said they had a drinks bar on site to be then told no longer have this licence has been taken off us so booking.com needs to be updated given very minimal info on arrival by host breakfast terrace above room awaken at 7am everyday by the moving of furniture from upstairs for breakfast. Tv was old and had problems getting it to work we have stayed at a lot nicer places for a lot cheaper think it is over priced for what you get

A very pleasant stay in Plettenberg Bay in a beautiful Lodge.

The position is excellent with wonderful views over the bay and the mountains. The rooms are well appointed.

There needs to be more attention to detail when cleaning the rooms. It was filthy behind my bedside table. Also a bit more care needs to be taken with the bathroom shower foam and shampoo. There were half empty bottles.

The view and the big terrace were very nice. Also there were vegan options for breakfast.

The glass railing of the terrace was broken on the front. The room was dusty, the towels not white anymore. The staff was not exactly welcoming.

We highly recommend it. Great place with wonderful view !

What a view ! We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff was really friendly and the food (breakfast) was really good. The localisation is good to visit around Plettenberg Bay and there are a lot of restaurants in the area. Our room was really big with big bathroom, everything was good.

2 nights in a very smart and safe place, lovely all round.

We had 2 nights here and liked the size of the room, the breakfasts were lovely, the bar perfect for a nightcap and the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff.

there were some unclear points upon checkout - booking stated that part of payment was to be collected straight after booking and then hotel told us, that nothing is collected and we have to pay full amount upon checkout… this created a bit of a confusion and gave our stay an awkward end (we could not check with our online banking due to some IT troubles….) hence I would like to ask you to give more precise information about your payment conditions to avoid this experience for future guests!

A bit tired and neglected place with beautiful views

When we came back from the beach one day, the door to our room was unlocked and wide open and the central key with keys to all rooms were sitting in the room. We walked around in the hotel trying to look for a staff member but when we didn’t find one we left the central keys on the desk in the office.

Amazing views, facilities lacking

There are no local shops or restaurants. Everything is closed around 18:00. We had a message to say the restaurant would be open yet it was not. The bar was not stocked and the breakfast was very average. for R5000 for one night we expected a little more.

Pleasant but a few things could be improved

Views from the breakfast terrace and our sea-view room were fabulous, and the staff were all friendly.

To be honest, La Vista Lodge didn't feel like 4* accommodation, and was more like 3* in my opinion. The breakfast service was very slow (almost an hour to receive eggs with no toast) and there were no backup generators so load shedding between 8am - 10am meant we had no lights on in our room and bathroom to get ready, no ability to dry hair, charge phones, have toast with breakfast etc which we hadn't experienced at other accomodation on our garden route trip. The room seemed clean but the towels smelt like damp, the bedsheet was ripped and generally my husband and I just felt that we stayed in much better accommodation on our trip for a lower cost per night. This said, the location was great and the views beautiful so if you don't mind the minor issues which we experienced above then you will be happy staying.

Truly Fabulous Property

Wow what a property. We booked the Honeymoon Suite which was simply fabulous. Very large room with a lovely lounge area and a massive balconey with some of the brest views of Plettenburg Bay you can find. The staff were wonderful (Shante & Amos in particular) and the breakfast outstanding. We would love to return one day!!

Great place woth friendly staff to explore the Plett area

Superfriendly staff (particularly at breakfast), large and comfortable room, great view of the Bay and overall a good location to explore the area.

This was first time we had to deal with the loadshedding in South Africa. It would have been great if the blackout times were noted somewhere for guests to look at (a simple note in the breakfast area would suffice).
