Very kind hosts. Excellent location. Great wine!! Beautiful view from the balcony. Walking distance to markets.

The basic triple room is very basic and uncomfortable!

The Guest House couple was very nice. They invited us to wine from their property. She spoke English. Breakfast was fine.

The basic triple room is very basic. I'm not asking for much, not even space, which was very tight for three, but two beds were really uncomfortable. Two of the three mattresses had the springs digging into your back. The bathroom...had a lot of stains in the shower and the glass in the sink was dirty.

A perfect welcoming from Bella and her family. A quiet place, an excellent dinner and a lot of kind little attention (coffee, peaches from the garden, home made wine...). A real pleasure to speak with the caring host.

Very rude and unprofessional

The owner woke us up at 8.00 am because she had to leave and wanted to get paid before that. The fact that the check-out time was 11.30 didn’t seem to bother her. Very rude and unprofessional. We don’t recommend this place.

A fun way to stay in Areni!

Bella was a fabulous host and she speaks English and German very well. We loved being in their beautiful garden. The treehouse was such a fun way to stay in Areni and it was much nicer than expected! The wifi worked great.

Great location, nice family, but would have liked to be able to make a coffee in the morning before wine tasting.

The family welcomed me on arrival, and upgraded me to a room with heating- which was needed! They also gave me honey and wind on arrival, which was great! The location was also fantastic.

There were no coffee and tea making facilities- I think I could have used the family kitchen, but I felt a bit odd doing that- maybe if I was not travelling alone, it might have been different. After the first night when I was in the family home, I felt a bit awkward intruding on them again.

Visit for the wine, stay for the hospitality

The location and the hospitality of the owners was great. Be sure to try their home-made wine and BBQ.

Almost nothing, the room was simple but sufficient. The AC in the room worked very well because the room was not too big.

A piece of paradise

I could not have wished for a better place to stay. I initially booked for two nights, I ended up staying for 7!!! If you are looking for a B&B close to Areni center but also calm and quiet, don’t look any further! Bella and Agasi are the ideal hosts, very welcoming, both taking care of your needs and very respectful of your personal space and privacy. I was invited to try their excellent home made wines and honey. You can ask for the special room, in the tree house, which will transport you to a fairy tale atmosphere! If you want to enjoy the most of a relaxing morning, have your breakfast in the garden. You will taste the local cheese and bread, as well as an assortiment of sweet spreads. Bella bakes herself the cakes and the eggs are perfectly cooked! In April, the nights might still be chilly in Armenia but The temperature in my room was very comfortable and the water runs hot ! If O had to summarise my stay in one word: addictive!

Lovely, homely guesthouse, an authentic experience, and excellent food and wine

We used the guesthouse as a layover to break up some travel. We arrived and our cold room quickly warmed up. We were invited to the kitchen, and served lovely and very authentic homemade Armenian food. We were already provided homemade wine and vodka, both were really good esp. the wine - some of the best I've had in Caucasus. It was excellent value for money, and the hosts gave us privacy as we ate, chatted and drank for hours after a long day of travel. Just what we needed and we're very grateful.

The directions could have been better. Best simply to ask the villagers for "Bella's guesthouse" rather than street number 3. Everyone knew where street number 1 was, but had never heard of street 3....

Recommended!

We had a very nice stay here. Our room was comfy clean and with bathroom. The owner speaks very good english, she was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty with exellent honey and chese.

Bed was very hard.
