Very comfort place up on the hill

Resort location up in the hill is superb. They have own restaurant and their pizzas are very tasty. Preselect breakfast was very good.

Good

The food was very good, both at breakfast and in the restaurant. The bed was good, and the room was clean. The surroundings are beautiful with lots of footpaths for long and short walks.

I missed a fireplace with some good chairs after the day's excercise. Upstairs, there was a fireplace in the bar/bistro, but only high chairs and tables. Downstairs, there were sofas and a fireplace, but next to a huge TV screen that made it impossible to relax with a good book. In the room, there was no place to sit down except a narrow bench along the wall, with a thin foam cushion.

Beautiful Danebu

The whole setting is just amazing. The location is superb, with mountain and lake views. There are solid trails for hiking for several days. The breakfast was good, and so was the lunch, dinner and pizza offerings. We tried it all :)

The only minor drawback was the level of parfume (scent sticks) used in the room and around the hotel. TIP: We put a plastic bag around the one in our room and it helped. Also, the beds could be a bit wider and more firm and comfy.

A dissapointing experiance.

The hotel is situated in a very beautiful place. The staff was generally kind.

You should order breakfast the day before stating type of bread and number of slices. What kind of juice and number of glasses, The same for cheese, ham, egg, müssli yougurt etc. Even time within a 30 min. timeframe was asked for. The first morning the breakfast was fine, but during the stay the quality and the adherence to our requisition of the day was steadyly reduced. It should be mentioned, that you could ask for more/refill if wanted. For instance the last morning we did not get the preordered food but had to ask for the several things. The bed was far to soft to us. The bathroom was new and looked nice but it was very small and the water from the shower flooded the floor and the toilet due to insufficient shielding. Roomservice was generally OK but the toilet was not cleaned every day. Generally the hotel showed signs of wear and tear. I have been travelling a lot and the standard of this hotel did not meet the price. You obviously pay a lot for the wonderful geografical location.

Above expectations: super kind & flexible staff.

The staff was exceptionally friendly throughout our stay. They advised us where to go for a hike and were very kind. Furthermore, they were flexible and willing to cater to our needs. Would definately recommend!
