Great location for a family ANP retreat!
The cottage was wonderful for our family getaway for early June! We thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk into town to enjoy the shops and restaurants and it was an easy drive to the trails, Asticou Azalea Gardens and more. The book the hosts provided gave wonderful reviews of restaurants and more and having the hospitality suite with washer and dryer available was convenient. Perhaps it was too early in the season, but the conditions of the onsite pond and vegetable garden were a disappointment. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped with many additional pieces available in the hospitality suite, the house was well cared for, the area was very quiet, the showers were great, and the water tasted wonderful. Those seeking the king bed should expect a very soft mattress.

Cozy and well-stocked home on peaceful, wooded property.
We loved our stay at the Cottage House! It was perfect for our family of six and there was plenty of room to spread out. The home was in the woods but also moments away from the quaint town of Southwest Harbor and parts of Acadia. It was also a short drive to Bar Harbor and Loop Road, which goes around the main section of Acadia. Marc, the owner, was very good at communicating with us. He text us on our way to let us know that Carriage House was ready and answered questions quickly. Marc also set up a lobster pot and explained how to do a lobster boil. Our family spent a lot of time hiking and biking in Acadia and Anna's Quietside Cottages was the perfect place to stay!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!
For a family that is constantly on the go, this vacation found us with some much needed relaxation and down time. We knew upon entering that we were staying in a safe, clean environment that exudes peaceful. With our time at Anne's, we rediscovered some of the things that made us a family and found out that we really needed this.
We won't hesitate to book again, and the only thing we would change is to book extra days!!!! Thank-you Marc and Victoria, you guys are top shelf and have an an amazing gift to offer your patrons!!!

The way life should be!
My family and I loved our stay at Anna's Quiteside Carriage House! It was well positioned in the beautiful Maine woods, but also a quick walk to town and the ocean. Marc gave us great hiking tips and we used the beautiful patio and grill every night. Marc and Victoria provided impeccable customer service and we plan on coming back next summer!

The perfect stay in Southwest Harbor. Charming, clean, convenient.
This property was just about perfect. The cottages all have their own individual and unique looks, and the one we stayed in was absolutely charming. Marc greets guests upon arrival and gives you all of the locals tips about where to eat, what hikes to do, etc. There is a fire pit on the property, and a vegetable garden where you can pick vegetables for your salad that night. The cottages are walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town, and just a few minutes from some of the best hikes in Acadia National Park. My husband and I hoped for the perfect Maine trip and we certainly got it thanks to Ana's Quietside cottages and Marc's hospitality.

Best place on all of Mount Desert Island!!
I've stayed at Anna's Quietside Cottages four different times in different houses with groups ranging from one family to three families and each time was unique and amazing. I plan to come back year after year with friends and family.
The whole property is beautiful and each house is special in its own way. It's clean and quiet yet close enough to town to walk in for good bread, wine and cheese!
Marc and Victoria Chalfoun (along with Marc's parents Annette and Cesar) are lovely hosts. Every request was promptly met and our stays have been truly awesome.
I pray that I'm fortunate enough to be able to share more of my summers with loved ones vacationing at Anna's. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking to visit Acadia and Mount Desert Island.

It's a Keeper!
My family and I had a wonderful time in this clean, beautiful home! It had everything we needed including location. The house itself was the perfect balance of homey/rustic and but still modern. We instantly felt comfortable and ready to begin our vacation. Marc was generous and available should we need him but also not overly present. We will definitely come back to continue the memories!

Absolutely fantastic, beautiful place and people!
Our stay in the Pavilion was fantastic! Each and every one of us had a great, enjoyable and relaxing stay at Anna's. The Pavilion is beautiful, well maintained and plenty big enough for all of us (15 people). There was always a bathroom open and always a place to relax either on the topside deck, lower screened in porch, master deck, living room, etc. We adults didn't even know the kids were around at times it was so quiet and spacious.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Mark (property manager) and his parents who are absolutely great genuine people. They showed us around the property and told us pretty much everything we needed to know. Throughout the week, when we did have a question, Mark would respond to our questions very quickly. During our stay we wanted to cook our own lobster (of course, you have to your first trip to Maine), and Mark was kind enough to set up all the equipment at our place to cook the lobster and stayed to show us how to cook it! You don't get this service at too many places, I promise you that!
Anna's is within walking distance to downtown Southwest Harbor, which include many fine restaurants/bars, ice cream shop, and other
shops of your choice. We traveled a lot to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor which is only about 20 mins away. It was nice to stay at Anna's away from all the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, yet we were only 20 mins away. I would highly recommend staying in Anna's Quietside Cottages and i'm sure my family will be going back soon!!

Great Visit to Rose and Carriage Cottages
Both Rose and Carriage cottages were fairly new and very clean and well kept. Marc and his team were very attentive at check and also availabe to help at any time. Also, once we were settled in they also respected our privacy and let us enjoy Acadia. We appreciated the value and qulaity of our stay.

Wonderful vacation spot for large family
The Carriage House at Anna's Quietside Cottages worked so well for our family of 7 staying on Mount Desert Island. We each had our own bed and there were 2 full baths. The cottage was clean and well-equipped and the location is SPECTACULAR! We could easily walk into the delightful town of Southwest Harbor for meals and shopping, and we were just a short (5-minute) drive from fantastic hiking spots on the quiet side of the island. We would recommend Anna's Quietside Cottages to anyone looking for a beautiful Maine vacation.

Great, spacious property in a nice wooded area
A great place to stay if you want to enjoy Acadia without the mobs of people and commercialism of Bar Harbor. Marc, the owner, is more than happy to share his knowledge of the area to ensure that you have a good time. We will return!

Wonderful Hideaway
What a wonderful place to stay on our trip to Maine. The cabins are hidden away in the woods within walking distance to the little hamlet of Southwest Harbor. In addition you are only 15 min drive to Bar Harbor or to the entrance to Acidia National Park. The owners of the cabins are very personable and helpful in any way needed. The cabins are clean and cozy with everything you will need for an escape from the rush of modern society . We couldn't have been happier with our stay and will definitely return.

Great Stay!
We have been going on vacation to MDI in the fall for 14 years. We decided to make a last minute trip this August and we were so lucky that Anna's Quietside had a cancellation. The apartment is very clean and spacious. It also has comfortable beds. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and on the outside grill. We found everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. Our 3 year old loved picking vegetables from the garden for her own salad. Marc is very knowledgeable about the area. He can help with activity and restaurant choices. He is available if you need him. The apartment is in a great location. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. It is also close to beautiful hikes in Acadia. The apartment has a nice flat screen TV with a good video library for relaxing evenings or you can sit outside at the fire pit and look at the wonderful stars. All in all a great stay and we hope to be back!

The Rose Cottage
My husband, mother and I stayed for a week at the Rose Cottage, one of many residences that make up Anna's Quietside Cottages. Upon our arrival we were promptly met by Marc, owner and proprietor. He settled us into the cottage and gave us a tour of the property. The cottage lived up to the name as advertised. Although most of the cottages seemed to be rented the week we were there, it grounds were very quite and peaceful. We even watched deer stroll through the property. The cottage was just as the photos depicted. The sitting room was comfortable. The entry into the cabin was a slight step up and the downstairs bathroom was adapted for elderly use. My mom had no trouble with the walk in shower. There were grab bars in place if needed. This was important to us when traveling with Mom. When I booked with Marc, he had assured me that the first for was very easy to maneuver through and he was right. The cabin has a second floor bedroom which was bright and airy. There was also a small sitting room, balcony and full bathroom, so there was plenty of room for the three of us. The kitchen was well stocked, the appliances on the newer side and Marc provides a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The property also includes a community room where you can borrow just about anything you might need or forgot to pack. There are also information pamphlets for the attractions in the surrounding areas. Marc is also a good source of information for local dining establishments. Overall we had a delightful stay in the Rose Cabin and would gladly vacation there again.

Fabulous-Our go to place on MDI
This is the second time we stayed at Anna's Quietside and we really wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The location is ideal-quiet country setting a few minutes walk to the heart of town and the ocean. Cottages are attractive, roomy, clean and well equipped, even with dishwashers. Almost all units have porches or balconies-a real treat that we enjoyed. The owners are always available and very friendly and well-informed. Prices are very fair.

Very nice property and area. Loved it!
Owners are excellent in responding to any needs and giving information. We enjoyed our home very much. The upstairs bedroom with the balcony is delightful. We love Southwest as a place to stay. It is our third time in the area, and we always go to the quiet side of the island! Kitchen was well supplied. House was clean.

Beautiful place to relax
My husband and I and our 3 children had such a wonderful vacation in the Cranberry Cottage at Anna's Quietside Cottages on Mount Desert Island. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated (we did have to put some of those decorations higher up to do some toddler-proofing, which the owners said we were welcome to do). The owners seem very organized, helpful, and like they take good care of their property. We had no unwelcome surprises upon arrival, everything worked except for the Wi-Fi being slow, which did not matter to us. We enjoyed the screened tent on the deck, and using the grill! The kitchen was clean and nice to work in, I cooked most of our meals there. The beds were comfy. And it was nice to have two bathrooms. I recommend packing long sleeves even in summer, as the cabin is not heated and the nights do get cold, even in August! We also loved the town (Southwest Harbor), which was in walking distance. Our favorite attractions were Sand Beach, Echo Lake, Bass Harbor lighthouse, and the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor (though we were glad to be staying in a much quieter town than Bar Harbor!) We will be back for sure, we enjoyed everything and could have stayed a whole month! I would definitely recommend this property to people.

Cranberry cottage was beautiful and spacious!
The listing description was as advertised. Loved the deck with the screened tent! The property was well maintained and very QUIET! The owner provided excellent service to include taking the time to sit down with us and recommended hikes, restaurants, and attractions. We enjoyed the Perpendicular, Acadia Mountain, Flying Mountain hikes. The Asticou Azalea and Thuya Gardens are a must! I definitely would recommend this property to a friend or relative!

We will be going back to Anna's Quietside for sure
I took my older Girl Scout Troop for our last trip as a troop and we were so happy that we found Anna's! The Americana cottage was just perfect for us with the two bedrooms upstairs for the girls and mine downstairs. It was clean, neat and very well equipped. We had just about everything we needed in the kitchen and if we didn't, we could walk a short distance to the hospitality suite and borrow things like a griddle or pots and pans as needed. We were also able to borrow a few camp chairs for day trips. The owner, Marc was very helpful in pointing out things to do, how to get there and some of his favorite spots. Walking distance to town was a plus for ice cream at night. We enjoyed a campfire next to the pond and an added bonus was to help ourselves to the vegetable garden! We enjoyed Whale Watching in Bar Harbor, Sea Kayaking thru the company right there in Southwest Harbor, Charlotte Rhodes Garden and Asticou Garden. Jordan Pond was too crowded to park for popovers so we had them at the Asticou Inn and they were awesome! I would not have known we could get them there if it weren't for Marc sharing that info with us when we arrived. We spent a while at Thunder hole and hiked from there to Otter Cliff. Swam at Echo Lake and loved the lobster at Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bass Harbor. I loved this place so much that I am booking several of the units for a large family get together next August. We're coming back for sure!

We LOVE Anna's Quietside!
We have stayed at AQC for the last eight years or so, with groups ranging from 4 to 18 people. It is NEVER a disappointment! They are so invested in guests having a successful visit that you cannot fail to enjoy your stay. Houses are clean, plenty of bedrooms, mattresses are great, and kitchens are well stocked with dishes and utensils, AND there is the Hospitality Suite!
