Probably the best hotel we visited in Portugal - warmly recommended!

The Breakfast was rich and tasty. Excellent service, beautiful location, and aesthetic design. The hosts were caring and proactive, offering fun activities such as hiking and rafting. They were flexible with check-in and check-out times, courteous, and easygoing.

The road to the location is steep and narrow, with limited parking spots. Some of the facilities were unavailable due to renovation - we hope to enjoy them next time we arrive. When we returned to the hotel late one night, the entrance was unexpectedly locked, and we did not receive a key to open it, forcing us to bang on it loudly until someone woke up and let us in. In addition, there was a problem with the credit card machine, delaying our check-out.

Dangerous leaking AC unit, poor food, unpleasant owner who refused to give us a refund.

the location is pleasant.

The website gives a misleading impression that this is a high quality, luxury property. it is NOT. The worst problem was a leaking air conditioning unit which overflowed a container placed underneath so making the floor - polished wood - slippery and highly dangerous. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and the pillows very cheap foam. There is no proper restaurant, just a set meal for which the main course was steak so tough it was almost impossible to chew. we had made a non-refundable booking for three nights and decided to leave after one because we felt the place was dangerous and uncomfortable: no place to spend precious vacation time. We asked for a refund and have been refused, despite the dangerous condition of the room. I would advise anyone thinking of staying here to avoid it.

restful place to get a break from the city

the view was beautiful and very peaceful. the staff was very friendly

the toilet flush was making noise from time to time and at night it becomes a little annoying but the staff was determined to get it fixed!.

a very good stay but there's potential for even more!

The location, the pool and the waterfall were simply incredible. The room, particularly the bed and the A/C, was very comfortable.

The most important is the lack of a door between the bedroom and the bathroom (on room 4). It was a big disappointment. Otherwise, there were spider webs in the window above the bed and the place would benefit from hiring at least 1-2 people.

Gorgeous and quiet. Perfect to rest and turn off from the city life.

Absolutely gorgeous, from the breakfast view to the pool and nature around. Very quiet place, no cell phone connection (but excellent wifi). Extremely nice and helpful staff.

We had dinner there, although it was totally worth it because we really didn't want to leave, the food wasn't as good as it could have been.

Disappointing

Beautiful place in beautiful surroundings, fantastic meet and greet, staff excellent. Well designed communal areas and pool area was good.

No toilet door in the room, nice design but not good when you have to go out in the rain while your partner has to pay a visit. Lighting was terrible in the bathroom. Breakfast was too late at 9,00 hrs and dinner was too late at 20,00hrs. Choice at breakfast was very poor and coffee was one pot for 12 plus people and had to ask for refill. Not the best start and end to the days we spent there. This place is a gem that needs owner intervention to polish and make it shine.

Beautiful stay in the middle of nature

The location is beautiful, it was a lot of fun to drive the twisting road to the hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with some cake and a drink out on the terrace :) The staff was amazing and very friendly. Not all of them are fluent in English, but they tried their best to help out anyway.
