The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. I wish we had had more time to spend there. The host was very friendly and accommodated to our late check-in time. She also made sure the room was warm when we showed up. Would definitely recommend this place.

Large main room with bed, and adjoining large bathroom. two heaters, TV, some kitchenette facilities, bar fridge with complimentary soft drink and beer. The house is a heritage double story timber property on a very steep hill. The room is set on the ground floor with a side gate access from the front garden, it has been completely updated and has double glazing installed keeping it warm when heated.
Large Continental breakfast available and supplied the evening before.
Limited street parking due to the property being on a narrow access road.

Everything. European hospitality in NZ. They did not provide any breakfast but the room had a coffee percolator with ample coffee and milk in the fridge.
Nothing.

It was all lovely - easy to find, parking on site, quick and lovely intro to all features by Kirsten and a most comfortable stay.
Just as a personal preference, I always love my own bedding in a double/queen/king. But this is really not even worth mentioning.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike, this was as close to perfect as you could get. Kirsten was so friendly and gave us great tips on where we could eat. Careys Bay Hotel was one, it was so good we visited twice.
We chose to have the breakfast option, it was well worth the cost. Fabulous muesli, juice, toast croissants, meats and cheese, orange juice too. Lovely beers and soft drinks in the fridge on our arrival. The attention to detail was second to non. Xx
Nothing to dislike

Our friend from Hong Kong stayed here for the rugby last weekend as he was unable to stay with us..
Kirsten was exceptionally friendly and our friend was blown away with the love and detail within the room. Fabulous spot and would definitely recommend

Was a well appointed suite - spacious, light and airy, with beautiful fittings and furniture; most if not all having been crafted by the owner (s).

The atmosphere /ambience is lovely and inviting. The owner's art/craft works are beautiful. The outlook is very leafy and pretty. The bed is comfy. It's nice and quiet. It's immaculately clean.
The bedside lamps gave off a gorgeous yellow light but were a little hard to read by.

outstanding breakfast and perfect location
Cold air coming in from behind skirting boards - needs caulking to make it airtight - but this is getting quite picky
