Brilliant place, great hosts.

Very close to venue where we were attending wedding. Beautiful rural area, lovely cottage. Hosts very welcoming and accommodating. Room bright, spotless and well equipped. Would certainly recommend.

Good accommodation and food from friendly hosts in a peaceful location.

Very convenient location for use as a stop on The Essex Way. Well sized room and bathroom with a comfortable bed. Claire was a friendly and helpful host, and being ‘in the middle of nowhere’ guarantees you a peaceful nights sleep.

A beautiful B&B in an absolutely idyllic location. The garden is beautiful, very comfortable super king size bed, great shower, and the breakfast was superb. Claire was an excellent host, we could not have asked for more. I would 100% stay here again, and highly recommend others to do the same!

A couple of reviewers have mentioned the noise of footsteps if you are in the downstairs room - it's a period building full of character, so this really is to be expected. It was certainly sorted out by a pair of ear plugs!

Breakfast was really nice and cooked fresh the host was really lovely.

There was no space to park the car, even though we did not leave it there overnight, there should be more parking spaces for guests.

Perfect in every way for a weary walker!

Walking THE ESSEX WAY, this was the perfect place to stay - indeed the ONLY place to stay if you are breaking up the walk in walkable sections. Claire was lovely and even cooked an evening meal for me, since the kitchen at the local pub was not yet serving food (recently reopened). Lovely big bed and enormous bath!

Location was remote so taxi required to get to and from the venue was expensive but the accommodation was lovely clean and relaxing. Breakfast was good and host was very friendly

I can’t rate this excellent B & B highly enough, highly recommended, I would love to return one day!

The host, Clare, was very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was super-comfy, warm and cosy, with a lovely view towards open fields. The accommodation was very quiet, and felt like home-from-home, helped that there is only two rooms. The facilities were excellent, great shower, quality towels, duvet, sheets etc. Tea/Coffee facilities were great, bottled water and lovely cookies. The breakfast was excellent, cereal, croissants, orange juice, full English breakfast and plenty of coffee.

Perfect location to visit Galvin and the Green Man for a Xmas gathering of friends. Host Claire was very friendly too and served up a great breakfast.

Quiet and restful. Just what we wanted.

The property was clean and comfortable. Claire, the hostess was waiting to welcome us. The beds were very comfortable, good quality bedding, very clean. Breakfast was home cooked and very good.

All good, couldn’t have asked for more and very reasonable priced.
