1. Location was excellent.
2. Private parking
3. The appartment was definitely different: the "downstairs" of a 1913s mansion.
4. Location was quiet.
1. We were disappointed about the cleanliness. We had to clean the fridge ourselves because of the food residues from previous guests. The baking sheet in the oven was covered in old grease. There was dust everywhere which didn't play well with my allergies
2. The internet was slow (12 Mb/s according to my measurements) and was instable.
3. The bedroom was small and the bed very narrow. I couldn't properly walk next to the bed.

The host was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us and the place was tidy and clean.

Homeliness of cottage,
Owner bought treats of mince pies, fresh cream and natural yoghurt in fridge as well as grapes
Owner was very welcoming when we met.
Nice choice of brown seeded bread, crumpets & hot cross buns, butter.
Good choice of fruit, decaf teas and breakfast teas & coffees & fruit Jam's & marmite. Sadly no expiry dates on opened jars of blueberry conserve jam. On checking jam it was fine so I enjoyed it.
Beautiful yellow roses in vase to welcome us too.
TV streaming services. No DVD.
Bathroom door did not shut properly, . The door needed to be forcefully pushed to click to shut and close properly to lock by top lock for privacy & stop draught.
No labels on cereal containers of ingredients, (for allergy or intolerances) and no expiry dates, or best before date.
Mat on carpet above top step, a potential dangerous trip hazard. We moved mat away to main landing for this reason during our stay. We returned it to original location at end of our stay.
We were advised prior to our stay that owner lived next to the cottage, which was fine and reassuring in case of any queries.
However on arrival we realised The cottage is adjoined to owners property, so we could hear owners talking & every noise when moving around. We felt aware they could hear us talking & moving around too so did not feel we had complete privacy.
We stayed at cottage when the weather was exceptionally cold -2. The owner did advise us on arrival & via message, that she would keep heating on all night, which was very kind. We did not have control of heating timer settings, although owner told us of times..
We did have a thermostat for heating which we turned up. The owner did message us early evening to check if heating was OK, which was appreciated as we had to turn thermostat up.
We went out to a Christmas event at local pub and returned to the cottage around midnight. It was -3°.. The cottage was freezing, all the radiators downstairs & upstairs were cold even though we had been advised by the owner that she would keep heating on all night. We sat with our own blankets around us, shivering had hot drinks and went to bed.
Even though property had double glazing throughout, In the main bedroom, double bedroom. The bed & headboard just underneath the wall by the window. It was so cold the bed & headboard felt damp, they weren't wet but the freezing draught from the window went down my head, neck and back & i could not sleep.

The apartment was clean and comfortable with a lot of touches that made our stay very nice. Loved the wine and the breakfast touches although we didn’t make use of the breakfast as we had plans. Loved the pub recommendation, would be good to have a sheet with restaurants and sights:)

A beautiful, homely house in a secluded country location in a pretty part of Surrey. The house was really well kitted out, clean, comfortable, cosy and had lots of character. Jackie was a great host.

Good location in walking distance from great walks. Lots of toys for the younger members of the family.
The downstairs sofa bed had not been cleaned and was full of food crumbs and hair. Needless to say, no one wanted to sleep there and we had to squeeze in upstairs. Most of bread provided for the breakfast had passed the experire date. Some plates had been put back in the drawers dirty which made us not want to cook any food there. Luckily some good restaurants and takeaways nearby.

An amazingly lovely house with everything you could want - and more! - for a very comfortable stay. Jackie was so friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast stuffs and the bottle of wine were very much appreciated. Everything was really great, and we had a really enjoyable couple of nights.
Nothing to not like. It was brilliant.

The unit is a converted wing of an Edwardian house, much roomier than we expected. Lots of space for kitchen/dining/sitting, Good supply of kitchen equipment. Lots of food for continental b'fast, milk, bread, etc. Dishwasher. Upstairs, 2 small bedrooms plus bathroom with excellent shower. Easy access to parking on drive. Very friendly host who rapidly responded to any questions. V convenient location, although entrance to the drive is difficult to find on first arrival. Will definitely return if in the area.
Suggest a more visible sign to the house, perhaps painted white to be seen at dusk?

A lovely holiday home in a great location with beautiful walks on the doorstep. Very well furnished with all you could need to self cater.
The bedrooms are quite small so would be quite tight for four people.

Jackie was a superb host. She provided precise directions in advance along with all the other bits of info we'd need. The house was warm and comfortable, with fresh bread, butter and cereals, and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and other bits and bobs.
We read a couple of grumbles about the sofa but we found it to be fine!
Will definitely stay again, and recommend to other family members visiting.

Felt very homely and comfortable, everything needed was there. Great position, would recommend the local pub in the High Street and the fish and chip
shop. Able to use Netflix on TV. Weather was a bit cooler in the evenings and the heating boost worked lovely.
Water booster in the laundry cupboard was quite noisy.
Bed was a bit too hard for us (personal preference)
