Staff were really helpful and always available if you needed anything but relaxed in a good way
Milk was fresh but kept in a fridge downstairs would have been better to have small fridge in the room or long life milk for morning cuppa in bed

Both dinner in the pub and included breakfast was amazing food!!

Nice country inn in a beautiful small village. Great atmosphere. I had a large room with all usual amenities you would expect in this type of hotel. Comfortable bed. There was some noise from the pub, but the pub closes at 11 and it is quiet afterwards. Wifi worked OK. The cooked breakfast was great, you can skip lunch that day :) Hotel parking was small, but we could always find a space.
There was not much to complain about. The only annoying thing was that the tap in the bathroom could not be fully closed and was leaking all the time.

Amazing property located in a beautiful village, rooms are clean and plenty of space and the pub adjoining the hotel is one of the best perks to have

My wife & I stayed here for our wedding night 45 years ago and planned this visit for our anniversary. The hotel is as delighful as it was in 1978 but has had significant modernisation since then. Fantastic location with easy access to Pitch Hill and beautiful surrounding area.
Food was great and served quickly but orders got a bit muddled for evening meal & breakfast as quite busy. No drinking water in the room but was immediately provided on request to bar staff.

The lady on reception ( sorry didn’t ask for her name ) made us feel very welcome and was most helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spacious as was the bathroom. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and again very friendly staff.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location.
Staff really helpful and friendly
Room was great value for money and very comfortable

Beautiful location and extremely clean. The hotel obviously uses very good quality ingredients for their dishes - as does the 'Inn' which served up a lovely Sunday roast.
It would be handy to have a wardrobe in the room (spa).

nice clean room, pub and very comfy bed, pillows not so much, too soft for us , but that’s a personal choice thing rather than a fault to be fair. Food was excellent, unfortunately didn’t get to taste the breakfast because of our early start, we were promised sausage banquettes but this never materialised, so a discount for our next cost wouldn’t go amiss!! hint hint .

Location was beautiful.
Car parking very handy.
Shower in our room was refreshingly powerful
Had meal during the evening, staff very rushed.
Breakfast in the morning, booked earliest a lot at 08.00. Again staff panicked at being short staffed. Waited over half an hour to receive breakfast order, which we had to rush and not finish due to needing to leave the hotel by 09.00. Shame as food was lovely, would have been nice if we’d been able to take our time to enjoy it Esther than rushing it and leaving it.

Beautiful location. Lovely breakfast. Very good staff.
Nothing really.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and kind. The room overlooked the beer garden and when we looked out in the morning it had snowed and the whole area was white.

It is unfortunately a spot solely for mountain bikers so beware if you are going for any other purpose. I wish it was mentioned anywhere. It is filled to the brim with sweaty men on mountain bikes from early morning til day end. It is quite loud as well due to that so not calm. The walls and doors are not well insulated either so you hear noise from the next room. The room was nothing like the pictures - way older and tackier decor and it was EXTREMELY DIRTY as if it was not cleaned at all. Everything looked to be done cheaply and there was no working heating in the room either which causes large discomfort. Probably good for someone mountain biking who wants to stay the night but wouldn't recommend for a calm Surrey get away.

It was in a lovely little village. The bed was huge and comfortable. We loved the open fire in the bar. Would definitely like to come again. Breakfast was good.

The room was excellent - roomy, comfortable, warm, clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom was superb. Although part of a separate business, the manager(?) of the adjoining pub/restaurant was very helpful.
Unfortunately, 2 of our 3 nights were spoiled by noise, one by a group celebrating until close to 1pm and the other by the TV in the adjacent room being used at very high volume until after midnight. With no staff present in the hotel after 8pm we had no choice but to grin and bear it.
With the exception of the fresh fruit, the "Continental" breakfast was disappointing. The cereals weren't terribly fresh and toast made from Mother's Pride-like bread is not what we would have expected in a moderately expensive "boutique" hotel.

Location is beautiful. Staff We met were friendly and helpful. It was a great suprise find for Us. Especially as it was last minute. Would have loved to stay another night to explore a bit. Will be going back.

Nice location and pub attached. Good breakfast. Rooms were nice and shower had good heat and pressure.
I was staying there but couldn’t park in the back gated car park. It was fine staying in the side car park but cars shouldn’t be allowed to park behind. It was impossible to get my car out.
The heating barely warmed the room up so we were very cold throughout the night.
