We loved this house and property! We were looking for something that was more private, as well as nicely accommodating 4 families. The house was beautiful and spacious, the property very private!
We loved the huge screened-in porch, the large kitchen with a very long dining table that fit everyone (that photo should go on the website as most people appreciate a large dining table). The multiple ovens were amazing. A couple things missing in the kitchen - a toaster (we had brought English Muffins so ended up using the regular oven), a corkscrew for wine, and a regular coffeepot (there is a single-cup Keurig for which they had provided ample Keurig cups, but we had brought our own regular coffee and it takes longer to make single cups for a lot of adults). And no ice maker - 1 large bag of ice was provided; we had to buy more.
The bedrooms were clean and beds comfortable....there are a lot of bunkbeds and our daughter said the set they stayed in were a little rickety up top where their kids slept.
We also didn't use the bunkbeds in the loft - none of the adults wanted to climb up there and we felt the kids were a little young to be unsupervised in a high place.
The lake was good-sized and the kids and son-in-laws made good use of the fishing pontoon boat. Also kayaks there, which we did not use.
The Nature Preserve, with nice hiking trails and a small museum area, was within walking distance (we drove with small children).
We highly recommend this property!!

My family absolutely loved the property. We enjoyed the short drive to Lexington to watch the Railbird music festival. In our down time, the house offered a tranquil environment to relax. Kayaks, fishing poles, and the small boat provided lots to do.

Was here with a group of 10+ guys and we slept more than comfortably and had a wonderful time.
When you drive up to the property, it truly is breathtaking. We had plans to leave the property more often, but ended up enjoying the grounds and home more than we expected! Full kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, pans, flatware, etc.
As others mentioned, there is no wifi, nor cable. This can be a plus if you’re looking to disconnect with a group of friends or family. That said, there’s good connection on the property (3/5 bars with T-Mobile and Verizon). I would also say we received just one towel per guest, which was a bit tough at times when guests needed another. Also, there’s no body soap nor shampoo, so make sure to bring your own! Water heat was hit or miss depending on how many people showered recently.
Also, Ubers/Lyft are spotty but with some patience you can get them and they will come to the house, which is about 1/4 mile from the front gate. Give it about 15-20 minutes.
Overall, the property is a 10/10 and our stay was an 8/10, just wanted to answer questions we had for the host, Jack, who was awesome!
Book this spot, you wont regret it.

The home is enormous, beautifully constructed and decorated. Every bedroom was large and all the common/living spaces were huge. The screened in porch with beautiful stonework and wood burning fireplace is under appreciated in the listing. Kitchen was well appointed and had all the basic kitchenware and flatware needed to make large meals. The home is very secluded and you are completely isolated from other homes. Property owner was very professional and responsive when a few very minor electrical socket issues arose on the first evening. I even said it isn’t a big deal, but he was out there the next morning with an electrician and fixed it quickly. Place says it sleeps 12, but I’m telling you 20 people could stay there and still be very comfortable with air mattresses. A/C works amazing for such a large place! Only one downside- No Wifi and only network TV channels available made living in a modern world a bit inconvenient because we are all sports fans and wanted to watch a couple games. Definitely NOT for the elderly or handicapped people that have issues with stairs - there are many of them. HIGHLY recommend both the property and the management.

This was the best home our group of friends has ever experienced! Super clean, super stocked. Layout was perfect for our group of 10. Jack responded quickly to any questions that we had and even brought over a toaster, blender, and kitchen towels within hours of asking!

This is a great house, on a large property in a nice remote area of Lexington. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful stay. We had a bachelorette party and it was perfect. A lot of room to have fun. The AC went out and the owner was there within 10 minutes to help fix it. There is no Wi-Fi which was fine since we had service there but wish that was a bit more clear. Other than that it was a wonderful stay!

Disappointing
Tired, overpriced and dirty - there are much better places - we rented two places for a family get together the unlucky ones had to stay here. Don’t do it …

Great Weekend & House for Keeneland
We had 10 gentlemen ages 26 to 60 visiting the Lexington area for the Keeneland Spring Meets. The house was great! Owner was easy to communicate with regarding any questions. House is well stocked with essentials and a very nice and clean home. Plenty of exterior and interior room to spread out and relax. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the Lexington area.

Great place for our group to gather
We had a group of 12 former teammates gather for a get-together after not being able to meet up for several years. This house just south of Lexington was a great place to meet. Spacious kitchen and living room, lots of outdoor spaces, a fire pit, and comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, glassware and cooking utensils.
The location was great, overlooking a pond, and close to Raven Run Park for a good hike to the river overlook.
One thing to be aware of is that the loft is accessed with a steep ladder. Younger visitors would probably have no problem, and I’m sure kids would love that space. We utilized the spacious lower level to set out a mattress and it was just fine.
We all really enjoyed our stay!

Family Reunion
The place was great for many ages and stages of life. The house gave everyone enough room! I catered meals from Wild Thyme restaurant, who delivered food at a reasonable price to the house everyday. The cooking and clean was a breeze. Everything that one needs it at the house. Thank you!

Wonderful Stay
We had 10 adults staying and sleeping quarters worked out for most couples although very tight in smaller beds (doubles). The kitchen was well stocked with the things you need for preparing meals. The views from the deck overlooking the lake at night are breathtaking. The manager was extremely responsive and very accommodating. It proved to be the perfect location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Lexington yet easily accessible to many wonderful sites.

A few issues with house
There were a few issues with the house that I would have fixed. There werea couple smoke alarms that were hanging from the ceiling and the lights in main bedroom were not working. And the pull cord for the fan in one bedroom was missing. Other than that no issues

Great place for a weekend in Kentucky
I rented this house for my brother's bachelor party and it met every need we had perfectly.
Jack, the owner, was patient and understanding as we dealt with ever evolving plans due to Covid. He was an ideal host.
If I ever go back to Kentucky, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. 5/5!!

Wonderful getaway!!
My friends and family planned this trip as a memorial trip for my sister who passed away in July 2020. This house/property exceeded our expectations. The beautiful countryside along with all the conveniences of home. The lake/property was wonderful, and the house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the screened in porch with fireplace! The only thing that we thought would be helpful is if there were instructions on how to use the radio play over the house speakers. We loved it!! This place may become an routine place for us to get together!

Perfect group getaway
The house sits on an expansive property in Kentucky's scenic horse-farm country. Our group was there on a golf outing (outstanding courses BTW) and the ample space allowed us to enjoy dinners as a group as well as lounging on the deck. The kitchen is nicely appointed with two ovens, 6 burner range, gas grill, and covection microwave. No WIFI in the house, so add some minutes to your data plans or unplug during your stay. We plan to go back next year and hope to be able to stay here again. Perfect for 10-15 adults.

Great Cabin - Would stay again!!!
Our men's bible study had a retreat here. We had a really good time. Cabin was secluded location, house was good size for 10 adult men, the lake was beautiful, and it was good proximity to distilleries/grocery. Everything looked just like pictures. Would recommend for sure!
Things to note was some of our group said beds were too "firm" or "hard." Personally I like a firmer mattress, so I found it comfortable... but picky sleepers may struggle.
Also there is no wifi for guests. Which for us this was perfect because we were looking to unplug. But something to note if you need wifi.

UK Graduation Weekend Celebration
Phenomenal! Plenty of space indoors and out for a 20+ family and friends celebration. (Nine people stayed the weekend in the house)
The screened in porch with fireplace, outdoor deck seating, fire pit and fishing lake were enjoyed by all.
Spacious well equipped kitchen was in constant use.
Jack, the owner was very helpful and responsive as needed.
My nephew who is a Lexington local was so impressed he will be looking into future rental opportunities on this property.

Great Retreat Setting
Beautiful location and home! Would definitely stay there again. A couple of things to help improve the stay even more. With 12 of us staying there, we could have used more bathroom towels. Bunk beds in the basement were pretty rickety and shakey whenever you moved and the upper bunk bed mattresses need replacing (can feel the springs). The Kitchen could use some more supplies - salt, pepper, cling wrap, dish towels. Overall a beautiful quiet place for a retreat or group!

Sibling Reunion
This house was the perfect size for our large family reunion. 6 out of 9 siblings and most of our spouses enjoyed a long weekend here. Food prepared in the large kitchen, fishing and canoeing at the lake, corn hole tournament in the huge yard, and the screened porch with fireplace made this a fantastic weekend together.

Wonderful Kentucky Getaway
Two families met here for a wonderful week. The lake provided lots of fun - boating, swimming and fishing. So did the ping pong table - fresh balls were generously provided. There is a very well appointed kitchen and lots of great outdoor spaces. A few things to note: there was lots of ammunition around the house (families with little kids, do a sweep and have a safety convo). Also, as others have noted, there is no WiFi. This was a bit of a surprise (my bad for not reading closely). Cell phone reception is ok.

Great stay
We just returned from a last minute socially distanced vacation with the kids (6,8) and grandparents. We had a great time and this property was perfect for what we were looking for. The highlight of this stay was definitely swimming and boating on the small lake on the property, and the main reason we booked. The property provides 2 one person kayaks, a two person canoe, and a small electric platform boat. It was very hot so this was perfect. We were glad that we brought our water shoes since the ladder off the dock was pretty rusty. The property provides 4 life jackets, we brought our own for the kids and were glad we did. All the swimming is off the dock and the lake seems quite deep, there is no shallow area for kids to play. Again, this worked out just fine for us at their ages they loved jumping off the dock. We brought our own floats and had a great time.
The cabin itself even nicer than what it looked in the photos. It had a gorgeous view of the lake which was wonderful to wake up to. The kitchen and dining area overlooking the lake was beautiful and well stocked with extra condiments etc., we weren’t sure what to expect in this regard. It is about 15 to 20 minutes to a grocery store or restaurant, which wasnt an issue for us because we brought everything that we needed to cook some great meals. Had an excellent propane grill which we utilized as well. Screened porch off the kitchen was also great for relaxing.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the sixth bedroom is actually a loft with bunk beds which is accessible by ladder from the family room. This was actually a bonus for us, because the kids loved climbing up there to play.
There is a very nice park for hiking just across the street, with Covid FYI you do need to make reservations in advance.
Things to be aware of is that this property does not have Wi-Fi. The cell signal was pretty good. Also, there is only one TV in the cabin that hooks up to a DVD player. It was actually kind of nice to unplug, spend time with family, and play games for a change so this did not bother us. Also, the air conditioner seemed to have trouble during very hot days keeping up on the main level during the day getting below 76°. The basement stayed cool. There wasn’t much hot water either, not a big deal because it was so hot that could be an issue in the winter.
Overall we had a great time. My son actually cried when it was time to come home. Would definitely recommend!

Relaxing and Peaceful
Our family stayed an extended weekend, gathering for a couple of them participating in the Bourbon Burn bike ride. It was wonderful for all of us to be under one roof! The kitchen is top notch, with a lot of bells snd whistles. Plenty of items to aid in cooking our breakfasts and dinners. Is about 20 minutes to the nearest grocery store, smart to plan in advance. We utilized the fire pit by making smores. A few took out the electric boat and fished..while others lounged in the screened in porch. Loved watch6the sun rise over the pond. Jack, was available when called and able to answer our questions. Great location, lovely home, easy to work with owner.

Bachelorette Weekend
I booked this property for my daughter's bachelorette weekend. The house and property was absolutely amazing. It was more beautiful than reflected in the pictures. There was a total of 12 girls and they had more than enough room. Jack was very responsive and easy to work with. I'd love to go back there and stay for a solid week.

Beautiful setting and lake.
My sisters and I recently stayed 3 nights at Jack’s place during one of the most beautiful weekends of the year. Lucky us! We really enjoyed the big outdoor deck and screened in porch and the hours spent in the lake floating on several big rafts that we brought.
Jack was very helpful when we had trouble with the dishwasher . We also shared with him some of our concerns about the kitchen needing a good cleaning. There were some other details that could use his attention as well which we also shared with him.
Overall, it was a great weekend!

Beautiful Property in the heart of Thoroughbred Country
My 11 grandchildren enjoy the pond. Swimming and fishing everyday. Even though I didn’t agree with swimming in the pond they thought it was perfect. Fishing was great. Bring extra towels for a lg group or be prepared to wash them. I loved the screened in porch for my morning coffee and visiting. Although there weren’t many bugs on the property. And sitting on the deck watching the moon come up was amazing. I would recommend this house for lg groups and a peaceful stay.

Pictures just don't do this place justice!!
We just had a wonderful gathering of dear old 60+yrs old ladies that go way back to their childhood years. This property was spectacular, the views were spectacular, about every thing about this place is spectacular. Ultra private, spacious and accomodating, already discussing the next booking!

Family vacation:
This was the perfect place for out of state family to stay while in town for a wedding. The kids ( and men) fished all day while the women relaxed on the upper decks.
We also held the rehearsal dinner at the house with a catered buffet. Set tables & chairs up on the upper & lower decks and it was very well received.

Notice about the Loft
the property was beautiful, the homeowner gracious and we had a fabulous time. The property is advertised as a 6 bedroom with one in a loft area. The loft is only accessible by a ladder - not by stairs. Needless to say, most adults don't want to crawl down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the rest room. Property should really be noted as a five bedroom.
