Absolute Gem

Amazing, clean and comfortable. Would 110% use this facility again. Staff allowed for an easy checkout. Shared facilities were immaculate.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für eine Wanderung am Mount Taranaki

Das Zimmer war gepflegter und gemütlicher, als wir es erwartet hatten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war top.

Für zwei Personen alles prima. Zu dritt wüsste ich nicht, wohin mit den Klamotten. Schränke scheint es in Neuseeland ganz grundsätzlich nicht zu geben

In summer it must be nice to enjoy the veranda and the pool. Unfortunately we were here in winter. Spacious units.

It was so terribly cold and the heater for the room was absolutely not enough nor adequate. The bathroom was clean but it definitely needed renovation.

Staff were lovely. Property was budget, great value for money, clean, great showers.

Super location and easy walks everywhere. Very tranquil.

A few more hooks in walls always helpful to get coats and stuff off floor and towels up in bathroom.

All in all, a great stay. I have stayed there before and I would stay again on my next visit.

It was a lovely cabin, close to the entrance and reception, with excellent parking right next to it. It was also a very short walk to the pool. I loved the table and chairs on the deck out front, which caught lots of sun in the morning. I was nice to sit out there with a coffee first thing. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was very clean with fresh towels every day. The location is excellent, being only a 15 minute walk to the High Street with plenty of options for eating out. There is also a hotel just up the road which does excellent roast dinners - eat in, take away or delivery.

The only downside was that I would have appreciated an extra blanket as it was quite chilly in the wee hours. There were electric blankets but I don't particularly like using those. There was a heater also but I was not comfortable with leaving it on all night.

Cozy stay at the Campground

Friendly service and a kind upgrade to a room with bedding as we had missed the note about taking it with us.

Not the camps fault but the weather was terrible with flooding all around the North Island but it meant we couldn't enjoy the playground and it made it harder with the kids having a separate toilet and shower to the cabin. We were lucky to have the toilet close by though!

The kitchen facilities were clean and tidy and the showers were recently renovated. Kids enjoyed using the pools and karts. Playground would have been good for smaller kids. It was nice having kitchen facilities inside the cabin.

The cabin was a bit old but still in good condition. Some of the springs on the metal bunks were old and had been replaced with wooden slats that were a bit uncomfortable. I didn't realise we had to pay extra for blankets during office hours so we had to make do with what we had brought with us. Would have been nice to have a seat inside the shower.

Excellent value, great location, wonderful service. Will stay here again if I return.

Cabin was perfect for myself and the two dogs, plenty of room. Loved that it backed onto the park where the dogs could run. We discovered the excellent bush walking tracks off the park.

Nothing, can’t fault my stay.

Confortable c Nice cabin With shower and toilet included in cabin This is important for older people who need toilet stop at night time . Good bunks for family with double bed on bottom of one of two bunk sets

You ring ahead if you need room key at 10am for late return Thats okay They do have a key system for late pick but prefer to pick up earlier . Check in time is 3pm Went to a function in New Plymouth and late back to stratford . New Plymouth accomodation was booked out

Good

I can take my dog and tether her on the roomy balcony. The staff are wonderful and the place is very clean.

The older facilities badly need maintenance. The gas cooker where I was is ancient and unsure how safe it is at all, broken cover etc

Overall was ok

Staff really care about you. Friendly receptionist.

Too tiny square space in between beds. There are beds for 5 adults, a round big table in between with only 4 chairs!? we are 5 (2 adults with 3 kids) and it was really challenging to our stay, we have to eat with our kids on our laps. I would also like to starlight that as the carpet and beds are quite old the place is not suitable for young children. The carpet was not the most clean if you have children that pick up everything from floor and put into their mouth, and also not the most safest if they are learning to walk. otherwise it’s ok

management was very helpful as we requested to upgrade to a bigger room.

Not sure what you could do as everything was above board.
