The location, friendly and helpful staff.
the noise of loud music from the nearby church/hall in the afternoons and on the Sunday morning. no late sleep-in here. the church belts out loud gospel music and band from early Sunday morning

The overall experience, from arrival to departure was excellent. The room with its view across the valley was a delight. It was a very personal experience.
When I phoned to advise that we would be a late check it took about 20 minutes to confirm my booking.
Having to choose between a fruit juice and coffee as part of the package seemed a little petty and not a condition I had ever come across before.

The views were breathtaking, the staff incredibly professional, and our rooms were pure comfort. They went the extra mile, adding thoughtful little touches to make it exceptionally special. But the highlight? The hot tub with a view!
The floors in the bathroom was dirty

Service by staff was exceptional thank you.
Menu and quality of meals was also very good.
We were unable to use any further facilities so cannot comment unfortunately
Because Adele has difficulty walking we were upgraded to a unit with easier access. that was very kind of you thank you

It’s a few km out of Johannesburg but you would think you’re far away from the city. Very nice and private away from the busy city life

The fact that it’s a bit secluded.
O a junior suite s
the bedding had holes. Vanities and water were not replaced for our whole stay. House keeping took my washcloth by mistake and it was never returned even after I asked for it. The food took long to arrive, whether sitting in at the restaurant or room service. Had booked halfboard, breakfast was limited, option to only order one item from the menu ( was expecting a buffet kind breakfast). A deal breaker was wen we saw a rat in our room, reported it to reception then we were moved to the sky-room(the worst)… The room was small, broken and stuck bathroom door, we had to push ourselves through the little opening to access the toilet. The safe was not working (partner had valuables he wanted to keep so imagine the inconvenience of having to keep them with you all the time). So the same night we were moved to the sky room I told them we’re not happy and we want to-be returned to the suite first thing in the morning after they take out the rat. In the morning they said they’re cleaning it, it got to 11:00 and wen I went to reception to complain that’s wen it was suggested that i check out and check in again at 14:00, in the meantime they’ll keep our luggage at reception and we should stay at the restaurant in the meantime, on a cold day mind you… The nerve… One would expect to be treated better, considering the amount of money spent there and the 4 nights we booked. 😒
Honestly, we stayed because we had paid. But otherwise we would hv just gone back home to oir comfort than stay there ( if a refund was possible)… So I would never return to that place.

The food, and private jacuzzi, the staff and beds and views from the room
Heater doesn’t get as hot as we would’ve liked
Some chip/ splinters on wooden floors

The food and cleanliness
Noise near the rooms we were sleeping on Sunday morning

Setting and service
There seem to be a church close where the noise would travel on Sunday.

The set up of the room was great, the views from the verandah was excellent!
The curtains on both the coffee station and cupboard was musty needs a clean.

The Chef and his team on what they delivered for dinner was just phenomenal! The amount of creative flair put into the pairing of the items for the meals from the starters all the way up to the desserts was worth 6 stars for sure!
The quality of the presentation of the meals and the gastronomic flavors all combined made the meals really stand out and of a quality like we haven't experienced in while in SA! Keep up the extraordinary work Chef and team!
You cant do much about it now but the suites and units are rather close to each other so you can hear the guests talking and watching TV while you maybe wanting to have a quiet peaceful night. Maybe the option of putting in some sound proof cladding in the rooms may help to reduce this.

The staff was very hospitable and willing to help with everything.
The reception didn’t inform us to pre-book for the game drive, we subsequently missed out.
We also struggled with network throughout our entire stay, we couldn’t communicate with anyone unless we left our room.
No one tells you about the facilities available at the hotel, like the pool, game drivers & other things to enjoy on site unless you ask them, and the reply is very short as if they’re not well informed themselves.

I went a day before my birthday, on my actual birthday they decorated my room with rose petals, a beautiful gesture. The game drive was the best, the gentleman who was the tour guide/game driver was an absolute gem, super friendly, and funny. I had all around best experience. The only issue I had was the swimming pool, I get the concept of al natural but truth be told it was off-putting.

The breathtaking views
The fact that they don’t have their own spa facility, they have to outsource. I booked a spa treatment and the ladies were very late, I ended up canceling and the was no communication at all, I was inconvenienced.
