Both Guy and Sheila were delightful and very attentive hosts; nothing was too much trouble for them. They were considerate and determined to make our stay as pleasant as possible, which it was. The breakfasts were delicious and locally sourced. The beds were very comfortable and afforded an excellent night's sleep, it was also very quiet in the area. The building itself, dating back some 5 centuries, was interesting and although we were not able to use it much, due to our programme, the available lounge was well appointed and comfortable. The fittings were modern where appropriate and the bathrooms very smart. There are many activities and things to see in the area and local hikes along the ridge with views across the Wye valley are recommended too.
We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The room was big! Plenty of space to move around. The bed was big! and very comfortable. There was even a bath in the alcove in our room. Lovely shower in the bathroom. The up to date facilities do not jar with the Elizabethan house. Breakfast was delicious and such a choice. Guests can also use a spacious sitting room to relax in. A warm welcome was given on arrival, Guy and Sheila are lovely hosts. I would thoroughly recommend this place as a base to stay for a holiday in the area.

Guy and Sheila were fantastic hosts. We were welcomed with tea and cake and shown to our beautiful en-suite. They were very helpful with advice for places to visit and eat out. The room was immaculate and breakfast a delicious selection of locally sourced home cooked options. Hope to make a return visit in the future.

Beautiful timber framed house full of history. But with comfortable modern facilities. very cosy and in an ideal setting. We were made very welcome by Guy and Sheila. The breakfast was first class with homemade bread. Homemade cakes and tea given in the afternoon.

Sheila and Guy were such a lovely couple who went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful with a massive bed and an amazing all singing, all dancing shower in the ensuite as well as a deep double ended bath š We were welcomed in with tea and homemade apple cake (gluten free for me). The following evening we came home to a roaring fire and warm lemon drizzle cake š They honestly went above and beyond and we didn't want to leave.

Sheila and Guy have a fabulous home that they kindly let you share. A warm fire with tea and homemade apple cake greeted us. Brownies and ample tea, coffee and fresh milk in our room. Warm, fluffy towels, comfortable bed. Homemade breads, jams, breakfast that is exceptional.
The hosts honestly made the three night trip so relaxing and welcoming. We cannot remember the last time we felt so well looked after without it feeling intrusive. Exceptional, they deserve the high praise. We will be back!
Nothing, all beautiful.

Sheila and Guy made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond. The house is lovely and cosy, and in a great location, within a short drive of Symonds Yat and Ross-on-Wye. There are also nice walks locally. We had a lovely dinner at The Mill Race, which is about a 20 minute walk from Lower Wythall B&B. Ross-on-Wye was a Ā£6 taxi ride, and has many pubs and restaurants. Guy and Sheila's breakfasts are excellent! We look forward to returning again soon, and won't hesitate to reccommend them to family and friends!
Nothing, we loved our stay!

From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcomed. Guy and Sheila really love having people in their stunning property and making their guest feel at home.
We had a beautiful well furnished very large bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows and a great bathroom. Nothing was lacking. There were also home made brownies in a glass jar next to the kettle.
The breakfast was something else with so much choice. Top quality ally sourced food and home made bread and jams.
Guy and Sheila deserve an accolade for their genuine hospitality and professionalism in running such a spectacular B&B.

Sheila provided really useful advice on places to visit. The location is idyllic and the grounds beautiful. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we look forward to visiting again.

Fabulous property, steeped in history. Room extremely clean and comfortable, bathroom had a superb shower and bath. Sheila and Guy, our hosts, were so accommodating and really cared about us enjoying our stay in their home. Breakfast was delicious, such a great choice and the tea and home made cakes, taken in the garden in the afternoon, were such a treat! Within easy distance of local attractions and beauty spots and a pub serving food was a 25/30 minute walk away.
