Lit confortable.

Apartamento incrível, cozinha completa, quartos bem amplos e tudo bem limpo/organizado. Tivemos um problema com o aquecimento que foi resolvido em minutos. Super recomendo!!

The location was great - nice neighbourhood and easy to get to the centre.
The floorboards were very creaky but this wasn't a big problem!

Location was good, only a couple of tram stops away from the touristy part of Strasbourg, you can even walk. The apartment is also next to a nice street lined up with shops and restaurants so it's quite a nice neighborhood.
The building is old - there is no elevator. The floors all over the apartment are creaking so bad when you walk over it, even if we are tiptoeing already. It's not so ideal since we have a 1-yr old baby with us that we need to put to bed at 8pm. It means we cannot move around the apartment anymore or else it will be creaking everywhere. The baby crib was also not set-up when we arrived at the apartment. We have to look for it and found it inside the wardrobe and I have to set it up myself - which is not a problem for me usually because I am used to setting up mobile cribs and have used different brands as our family travels a lot with our baby. However, the crib they have is very old (looks a bit dirty) and broken. There were also no beddings provided for the baby, good thing I always bring a baby bed sheet with us. I contacted the host and she sent her husband to fix the crib. Even he had a hard time setting it up, but managed eventually - however it was quite frustrating as they first told me to try several times. There is also no aircon in the apartment, so during summer heatwave you will surely suffer plus the electric fan only blows warm air so it feels like you are in an oven. The kitchen is also bare minimum. They tell you that it is not a hotel but more like a home, but they dont make it homey as they dont have anything in the kitchen for their guests - no complimentary coffee, no tea, not even kitchen paper towels. There's also no hand soap in the toilet - how are you supposed to wash your hands? There's a soap dispenser but it's empty. If you stay here then you will be forced to buy these essential stuff when these are normally provided by hosts everywhere. The apartment also didnt feel so clean - my daughter's feet got so dirty walking around the apartment barefoot. I wonder if they vaccumed or washed the floors at all before we arrived.

The flat was very spacious, and it was very easy to check in and out. The flat is right across the street to a bus stop that goes towards the city centre, and there are multiple supermarkets within a 2-min walking radius. The bedsheets were really great and comfortable, the towels were very clean. The stairs are quite doable, even for older people, since the flat is in the first floor. The sofa is okay, the fridge works very well. The hosts were very easy to reach by phone and messages within booking.
Sadly, it was a bad stay. We could not sleep at all, since it was very warm and the flat has no air conditioner, and the one ventilator available was so tiny that it made more noise than wind. So we opened the windows, but that was a major issue, because just under the flat is a fast food joint. It's open until 11pm every day, but most nights the workers stay in front of the door until much later, smoking joints and talking loudly in groups. This noise is sadly present both in the front room and the back rooms. And before 11pm, there was the constant smell of deep-fried food. When the staff finally went away, around 2am, there were then loud traffic noises, which was surprising in such a small street. I'm sure that, for people who are less sensitive to noise, or during winter when the windows can be kept closed, it's a great location.
But another issue was the extremely loud noise made by the floor inside the flat. I live in an old flat that is at least as old as this flat, and our floor does not make this noise. But here, every step at night was like screaming, and everywhere in the flat the sound was loud. There is no way to avoid it, no matter how careful one is. Also, there was no soap at all in the flat, so given we arrived late on a Saturday, we had to improvise until Monday, when shops were open again.

Spacious, lovely location, easy parking around

Antonie is a great host, very supportive and warm. The locality has a good neighbourhood with all shops and market around. it’s a cute small apartment with two bedrooms, one living room and a fully equipped kitchen. One of the old buildings, with a super cute balcony by the road.
we liked everything. There’s road parking. Usually get a spot if you wait for 5 minutes.
