Prachtig uitzicht vanaf terras op de Kilimanjaro.
Natuurlijke omgeving.
Door mooie natuurlijke en rustige omgeving ben je wel wat verwijderd van centrum om wat gezellige drukte op te zoeken.

The restaurant was fantastic! We had an amazing dinner, everything was very very tasty. Even the French fries were sublime. The staff is very friendly and the room very confortable. It's also very noble their mission by providing education to girls in Moshi.

Great little place! The rooms are simple yet comfortable, nothing to envy of the bigger resorts in the area.
The program is an amazing initiative in the area!

I liked the site and the garden. It is a very beautiful hotel. Nice place of learning for young adults wanting to work in the industry. The food is also good.
Unfortunately, the power cut off and it broke two of my appliances, which I brought from abroad and that is quite expensive and nothing was done about it. They also lost one of my pieces of clothing and once again nothing was done for it.

Beautiful spot with friendly service and good food. The restaurant menu is extensive, with lots of vegan options and the coffee was excellent. The room was beautiful, as was the whole property, and everybody we interacted with was very sweet!
Everyone was very sweet, but there were communication issues. Remember that this is a training program for young women who are going to be working in the hospitality industry.
We had a very early morning flight and when the taxi came, the guard was nowhere to be seen so we were locked in for a while until we could find somebody to track him down to unlock the gate.
They wanted to make us a full breakfast which is very sweet, but they were 15 minutes late with it so we had to leave right when it was ready so that we didn't miss our flight!
I think having a way to communicate with one of the teachers/managers in charge in case of emergency would be helpful. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Our main reason for coming here was the vegan menu at the restaurant, but we really were amazing by the entire property. The food was excellent and diverse, the people working there were very kind and helpful. The room was very stylish and clean. They have an organic garden, so the mint comes fresh in the Mojitos. The staff helped us to book some trips to coffee farms and hikes on Kilimanjaro that was well organized with a wonderful driver and guides.
There was nothing not to be liked.

The staff was friendly and the dining, even if limited in choice was nice. The garden around the main building is very nice.
This concerns the house which is further down the street.
The major issue and the main reason for the low rating is the water heater in the room we stayed (see the picture). My wife got hit by electric current (fortunately, nothing serious) that was running on the shower itself. This is a very dangerous, potentially life-threatening malfunction of the heater, so I believe constant checks on the appliance must be performed.
The room was relatively small with a very large bed in it, so there wasn't much space for anything else. The room wasn't also very clean.
Another issue, not related to the property itself, but to the location of this outer house, are the dogs in the yard nearby. They were very close to the window and were barking during the night, so I didn't get much sleep.

We love that the hotel is also a school for girls to be trained in hospitality and tourism. What an impact this place has!

Staff are excellent! Well done to them!!! Worthwhile to have dinner there too! Kitamu sana! :-)
The walk to centre is a little longer than i expected but not far really. 15-20mins. If you don’t like walking, then find something more central. I happily recommend this location though.

More Than a Drop is a culinary/ hospitality training program. The students do an excellent job.

I love the mission of this property (check out their website!). All the on-site staff was wonderful especially chef Martha! the proximity to town and other nearby day trips is great. They also will coordinate day trips for you and all of their quotes were cheaper for a solo traveler than any where else!
While the wi-fi worked in public places, it did NOT work in my room.

Nice garden & ok location. Good communication with owner. Good wifi.
Room # 5 is close to kitchen & noisy. Choose another room. We were waken up early by the sounds & work around the kitchen.

the cleanliness
The breakfast was really bad, so poor, some days basic stuff were missing like the fruits they put daily, we ate breakfast and still were hungry. if you’d like some eggs you should add money. really bad breakfast. the wifi also doesn’t work most of the times. no wi fi in the rooms

More Than a Drop is both a bed and breakfast, a restaurant and a hoteling school providing young women in the Moshi area with a way out of poverty. As such, the staff was wonderful and the meals, while simple, were lovingly prepared. The sheltered courtyard was a great place to relax from the heat and hustle of Moshi, with a view of Kilimanjaro when the weather cooperates.
Not much. The rooms are simple and the beds comfortable. There was occasionally music coming in late at night from a nearby club or other, so bring earplugs if you are very sensitive to noise.

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful people and the food was amazing! Best food we had so far in Tanzania.

The rooms we had booked were in a villa/bungalow which was 2 houses down from the main building which was not specified on the booking.com site. Its a separate house and one has to have keys for the main gate and main door. Would help if the site recommended that people carry their own mosquito repellents and toiletries. We were told that given the low per day room cost, this was par for the course...but no harm telling guests to prep for this. We checked in but left the facility to check into a 'better equipped' and pricier hotel for the last two nights of a fantastic Tanzania/Kenya holiday.

Stayed at More than a drop for two weeks and had an absolutely amazing stay. More than a Drop is a real home away from home. I was alone, but felt so taken care of. The staff are just the best, the school and the girls it supports are wonderful, the garden with the terrace where all meals are served is just gorgeous and the breakfast are totally delicious! I could not have wished for a better place to stay in Moshi, an absolute gem!
If you are incredibly noise sensitive then make sure to ask for one of the quieter rooms. Parties are ubiquitous in Moshi and it sometimes be a bit of an issue.

"More than a drop" is worthy of its name! The young women were warm-hearted and always more than friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the wonderful garden and excellent food! Thank you very much for everything! Moritz & Franzi

Everyone we encountered was so friendly and accommodating. The educational mission of the hotel, to educate young women in the field of hospitality, is really admirable. The young women we interacted with were very sweet and it was nice to learn a little bit about them. I really liked the art in our room and throughout the main building. We had a very late arrival due to a delayed flight, but 2 of the young ladies and the security guard waited up for us and we had no problem getting to and relaxing in our room after hours of travel. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet and had a plug adapter which was convenient. The bed was a decent size and comfortable. Shower was hot. No electricity problems. Great communication from the hotel beforehand. The hotel was in a good location for us to visit Materuni falls and was perfect for our 2 night stay. We will definitely come back to visit again.
Being the carnivore that I am, I missed having meat options on the menu. However, everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The wifi was not great, but we later discovered that to be a problem throughout the country.

I had a really great time on my 2-weeks stay at More than a Drop! Above all, this is thanks to the most charming and helpful staff. Everyone was so kind and eager to make my stay comfortable that I really felt spoiled. Then there was all that delicious food to taste for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, always lovingly prepared with local fresh ingredients and a creative variety of cooking styles. Not to forget that the well maintained authentically furnished villa from colonial times is situated in a beautiful garden with big trees and so many different exotic plants and flowers that it is simply paradisiac. The whole flair of that small scale place makes it the perfect oasis for a relaxing retreat!

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was exceptional. From friendly professional staff, comfortable clean rooms, to the food that was the best I've had anywhere in TZ and all made in house, right down to their jams for breakfast - delicious, well plated and far above the standard of most restaurants in the West. As a bonus, the property is a centre for training young women from small communities in the skills of the hospitality industry. Therefore, your time at More Than A Drop will continue to be a blessing to others long after you leave. For more info see their foundation website. http://school.morethanadrop.org/
I can't recommend this place enough. The grounds are beautiful, with a massive outdoor patio to eat under and mount Kilimanjaro in the background. It's also close to a main road with easy access to the centre of town only minutes away.
