Superb

Mallika and her husband are very friendly and do everything to make you feel at home.

The place is close to the train, which is loud early in the morning (I woke up at 6:30) So might not be the place for you if you don't like to get up early

Perfect, unforgettable stay!

This Place is AMAZING!! Malika and her husband are the most welcoming persons ever. Such a heartwarming place, super well located in Midigama in a beautiful street 2 minutes away from the ocean. They have a stunning garden with coconut trees and many plants where you can chill. Malikas breakfast is Sri Lankan food as authentic as it can be - we will never forget that experience and are super greatfull for these days. We highly recommend this home stay with a cute, super super clean room and private bathroom. The two great surf spots are just around the corner and Malika and her husband will try everything to make your stay perfect. Thank you again for the last days, we will come back for sure!!!

a wonderful homestay with lovely people located directly at the surf spot/beach

The location is perfect for people who like surfing (directly next to lazy left/right surf spot) or people who just wanna be in a nice, calm area with a beautiful beach only 200m away. Mallika and her husband are wonderful people, I had a really nice stay and would recommend everybody to go here! I‘ll definitely come back :)

Malika and her husband are two very fine and nice people! You feel very homie with them! Everything is very clean and the local breakfast she makes is absolutely amazing! We would very much recommend to stay with them, in case you are searching for a calm and peaceful environment! :)

It really is a little gem in Sri Lanka :)

Gem villa really made our trip. We felt so at home instantly. They are such a lovely couple, very caring and kind. The garden is beautiful and Malika cooks delicious food! I would really recommend others to stay here.

Amazing

I left Gem Villa today with a heavy heart. I stayed for 4 nights only, but it already feels like a home away from home. Mallika and her Husband are so so kind, I feel very appreciative for them welcoming me into their house. You can ask them for breakfast and dinner, and they will provide with yummy homecooked meals. You will surely not be left hungry. The house is very clean, and the bed was comfy. Maybe the bed is a bit small if it's for 2 big people. The location in close to the beach, near the Crazy Right Surfspot of Midigama. Walk for 10 min to get to the renting boards place which is in front of Lazy Left.

Staying here felt like staying with family - home away from home. Thank you!

My stay was lovely here! The room was nice and clean. The toilet was shared with another room, but always sparkly clean (and I am very particular about hygiene!). Malika, the host, made sure I had everything I needed and felt comfortable. She cooked amazing food for me as well, every day I had breakfast and dinner here at home. The property itself is so cute — so many flowers and greenery everywhere, really beautiful!

Mallika( the host) and her husband are super nice guys. You feel directly like a Familiemember and they make super fresh food. Close to the beach and a nice garden. We Saw some cool birds and Mangoose.

The railway is close to the house and sometimes you hear a train coming for us it was absolutly no problem. Also what you maybe not see so good on the pictures, the room are not really separate to the familyshouse and the bathroom is not in the room. For us it was good and because we like it. But just as a Notice.

Nice home stay with good breakfast.

Hosts are really friendly and kind. Good breakfast and nice garden. Dropp-in yoga class in walking distance. Nice beach and restaurants near.

Noice from the train that starts from 5:30am.

Authentic homestay

Friendly caring family. Very nice bio food. Walking distance from beautifull Wild beach with only few people. Nice temple few meters. The house and the garden are very clean.

Exceptional

We had amazing home cooked breakfasts and dinners. Malika and her husband are very nice people and always open for a chat. Room and bathroom are incredibly clean. There is also a nice fan in the room. Nice garden. Conveniently located at 3 minutes walk from Midigama beach and if not with a scooter you can easily reach the beaches of Mirissa, Weligama, Ahangama, and Koggala.

Lovely stay, clean simple room, close to the beaches and surf spots in Midigama, the owners were super nice, ready to help with everything. They offer laundry and homemade cooking. Thank you for everything, especially the hospitality.
