Alles super!

Die Unterkunft ist super! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, das Essen war total köstlich und die Zimmer absolut sauber und top! Adams Peak ist fußläufig erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin lief super! Außerdem ist der Tuk Tuk Fahrer, der uns von der Gastgeberin empfohlen worden ist, sehr günstig und absolut toll! Er hat regelmäßig gehalten und uns auf besondere Tiere / die wunderbare Natur hingewiesen. Fahrt auf jeden Fall mit ihm! :)

Super gezellige, rustige guesthouse met heerlijk vegetarisch eten

Super gezellige plek met lieve gastvrouwen. Ze bieden heerlijk vegetarisch avondeten aan als je wil. Echt heel lekker, en je eet samen met de andere gasten, heel gezellig. Het ontbijt is ook top, meer dan voldoende en de lekkerste thee natuurlijk. Fijne plek om op het terras te zitten, heel rustig, en vlakbij Adams Peak, je kan gewoon te voet starten. Aanrader!

Gorgeous homestay with lovely hosts and delicious food!

Lovely homestay located very close to Adams peak. The hosts are super helpful and will work around your schedule to produce delicious food - I think one of the tastiest rice and curries we have had in Sri Lanka!! The place is gorgeous and we had the upper room which had balconies on both sides to get all views!

That we didn’t book another night!

Lovely Cozy Stay.

The Vegetable Garden is run by a family, all the food is vegetarian. I received a warm friendly welcome. The property is situated at the bottom of a slope with nice views to the one side. It felt very relaxed and the food was delicious. This is a great place to be of you wish to walk to the top of Sri Pada /Adam's Peak, being less than Km from the starting point, or even more important less than a km from the finish! Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served.

If I want to be picky, I chose to take the outside downstairs room, and the WiFi reception was a little weak from my room. I still had reception but my WiFi calls were a little buffeted.

Best Meal and Sweet Hosts!

This accommodation is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the trailhead for Adam's Peak. The host was very kind and gave us guidance for our climb up Adam's Peak. They lent us a flashlight since it was dark on the trail at night. They also have a large garden and cooked dinner for us using vegetables from there. This was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. In addition, they even helped us top up our cell phone data. I would recommend this accommodation to all guests!

Wi-Fi was not very strong.

Wir würden dort wieder Übernachten!

Wir haben dort 2 Nächte verbracht um den Adams Peak für den Sonnenaufgang zu besteigen. Die Familie hat uns sehr nett und freundlich empfangen. Es gibt dort gegen Aufpreis ein leckeres Frühstück und sehr leckeres Abendessen zu einem sehr fairen Preis! Wir hatten das Aussenzimmer oben. Dies war sehr sauber. Der Balkon mit Aussicht auf den Adams peak ist auch super. WiFi/Internet Empfang ist Okay (schwankt ein wenig).

Dobra izbira s pomanjkljivostmi

Imajo več sob. Ena ima zunanji vhod, dve imata vhod iz njihove dnevne sobe. V bistvu si na nek način del njihove družine kot gost. Vsi so super prijazni in ustrežljivi. Večerja, ki smo jo jedli za njihovo mizo, je bila res okusna. Mogoče malce draga (4 usd), ampak skuhali so za naju in še za enega, tako da razumem ceno.

V kopalnici naše sobe je bil pretočni bojler in ob maksimalni nastavitvi je voda mlačna in ne topla. Pipa v umivalniku je tako kratka, da voda teče na rob umivalnika delno. Oboje je enostavno rešljivo in ne vem, zakaj ne uredijo. Ne vem pa, kako enostavno rešljiv je vonj po plesni v sobi. Zgleda, da je prevlažna, zato je potrebno imeti vklopljen ventilator, da se plesni ne vonja.

Brīnišķīga dabas oāze.

Ļoti skaista vieta, brīnišķīgs un kopts dārzs ar ziedošiem augiem, atsaucīgs un izpalīdzīgs personāls. Vienas no garšīgākajām ēdienreizēm visā ceļojumā Šrilankā. Tuvu Ādama kalna sākumpunktam.

Mazliet neērta gulta- bet uz visu pārējo labo lietu fona - piedodami. :)

Nice accommodation, we would come again :)

The family is very friendly and kind, they prepared a dinner with fresh vegetables from the garden. It tasted sooo good with a lot of different options. The room was very nice and the location is perfect next to Adam's peak and a lake. We would come definitely again! :) Thank you for everything.

Awesome!

The stay was great; the owners were very responsive and extremely hospitable. It was like being at home. The food was excellent and amazing that the family cooks it on order within an hour. Food was vegan, and we didn't miss meat at all.

I don't have anything to say here, so I'm gonna say there was a small frog in the garden and I hate frogs. :)

Calm place to sleep early to do Adams peak hike

Very kind hosts, clean and calm place convenient to do the Adams peak hike, just about 800m from the start. We had also a delicious dinner.

Lovely family

The family that run this property were lovely. Very kind and helpful, and the dinner was really, really nice. I even learnt a new recipe. The room was really nice and clean too. If you are visiting Adam’s Peak it’s a great place to stay

Heimelige Unterkunft, perfekt zum Adam’s Peak

Top Ausgangspunkt für den Adam’s Peak. Wunderschönes und sehr gemütliches Gasthaus mitten im Grünen. Liebevoll hergerichteter Außenbereich, der zum Sitzen einlädt. Vom Busbahnhof Hatton eine gute Stunde mit Tuktuk entfernt. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber, die Familie sehr freundlich. Habe mein Frühstück sogar zum Mitnehmen eingepackt bekommen.

Familiäre Atmosphäre - wie nach Hause kommen

Super nette Gastgeberfamilie, die gerne bei allen Fragen weiterhilft. Abends gab’s selbstgekochtes Curry aus Sri Lanka und morgens auch jeweils landestypisches Frühstück. Sehr lecker! Perfekte Lage, um morgens zum Sonnenaufgang auf den Adam‘s Peak aufzusteigen.

Authentic homestay with a very nice family, cleanliness can be improved.

The family running this Homestay is very nice and supportive. They give advice for your Adam’s peak hike and can arrange good tuk tuk drivers to and from Hatton. The location is good and quiet, near to the starting point of the hike. It’s really cheap and includes a good breakfast. They provide a good dinner as well.

There is little private space because the living room is shared with the family and other guests. The rooms are quite moldy and smell. The bathroom facilities seem quite old and low standard, not very clean.

Amazing stay before climbing Adam’s Peak

Cozy homestay with very friendly, helpful and accomodating family. We had a vegetarian curry for dinner, it was delicious! We climbed Adam’s peak for sunrise, they made sure breakfast was ready by the time we got back which we really appreciated. Very good value for money, we had amazing stay here.

Great accomodation in the most impressive area of Sri Lanka.

The place is lovely and so are the owners. They help you with everthing they can. Cozy rooms and great atmosphera. We had breakfast and dinner there, super delicious. Several places to have lunch nearby. Perfect to go to the Adam's Peak hike. So glad we were there for two night and we would have stayed more if we'd had more days of holidays. We totally recommend it.

Come to eat the five * dinner and cosy stay

On entry rahja greeted us off the bus, then gave us tea with cakes his daughter had made, felt very welcomed. Rahja cooks amazing food literally some of the best we've eaten on the gem of the Indian ocean. I would go back to sripada just for his five dish sri lankan dinner he should have a restaurant! There was tinned beers in the fridge for 900rs breakfast and dinner was also 950rs. Dinner was definitely worth it. The bedroom was clean the bed was big and comfy the bathroom big and clean with warm water. Rahja is also a guide for adams peak if you need, the base of adams peak is 10min away. Thank-you for your stay rahja and family x

The breakfast didn't match up to the dinner, we had to ask for more Dahl for the coconut rotis the first day and then the second day I had last night's dinner left overs mashed into one for the coconut rotis which I didn’t mind until I realised it was the same price as the banquet of a dinner we had both nights before? Didn't understand the pricing because the first day my partner had breakfast with me the second day it was just me and the left over dinner from before but the same price? as a whole very nice place, custom and food.

Great stay, lovely family, amazing food

This place is perfect if you are visiting to climb Adam's Peak. The hosts (a young lady & her mother) were great, very friendly & helpful. We climbed Adam's Peak in the off season when it's not lit up, they gave us a torch to take & also gave us an umbrella - both which came in handy for our hike. Furthermore they gave us a hair dryer to dry our wet clothes with on our return plus a plastic bag to pack our wet things into. We stayed here 2 nights & the food was some of the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! We had Sri Lankan breakfast both days & for dinner, rice & curry. The effort these ladies put into the cooking is amazing, the food was so, so delicious, large portions & a real range & variety of curries, vegetables, fruits & lots of other yummy Sri Lankan dishes. Can't recommend this place enough, especially for the food!

Hot water was temperamental but not an issue.

Very friendly and helpful host family! I had breakfast and dinner there, both meals were extraordinary. The guesthouse itself has a wonderful location, many plants around it and it’s just a few minutes away from the town centre and the start of the track to Adams peak. The room is clean and spacious. The living room is super comfortable and a very good place to relax after the hike.
