I literally felt like a princess in a fairy tale. This place was magical, I can't wait to go back!!!
The stairs!

The location was great, at the beach and only a very short walk into the main part of town. We had a villa with a large open air balcony/terrace with kitchen and it was delightful sitting out there looking at the view. The pool was nice and the staff were very friendly. Would return and would recommend for anyone going to Sayulita.
Showers had very low water pressure if that's something that you care about. They were nice and hot though.

My room was lovely, the bed was comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The listing did not include that my room was up 6 flights of stairs. The hotel was very loud starting in the morning- this was not a place to expect a quite, relaxing vacation. Twice I had people try to get into my room (without knocking) while I was inside.

Customer service was excellent!
Everything was perfect

Excellent location. Beautiful scenery and the staff are amazing.
Booking.com linked my trip to "Daytrip" for a prearranged ride from the airport to the resort and then from the resort the return to the airport. Daytrip is a scam. I paid for the ride but the driver did not show up and I had to UBER. Booking.com should not direct American citizens to a scam company like Daytrip. It was very stressful and almost ruined our whole trip. I ended up paying an extra $300 to get to the airport and not miss my flight. Booking should refund the money I spent on this scam ride service.

room was nice and spacious
our room was right on a busy road and was so loud especially at night…

Very charming hotel. We got a room where we didn’t have to climb the stairs, which was very helpful with a baby.
The stairs would have made it tough for us.

Loved the location and size of the room!
The room smelt like mildew and/or mold. Everything we brought smelt like that and it took several washes of our clothing and bags when we got home to get the smell out. When I asked about it to the front office they just blew me off.

The setting is beautiful, the staff was attentive, the grounds were well kept. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our driver hired by Villa Amor to take us to and from the airport was prompt and safe. Si Senor, the restaurant on the property was also excellent. Carlos the manager set up a beautiful and memorable birthday dinner in the gazebo with wine and flowers. We enjoyed the lovely infinity pool in a jungle setting.
The only part about our stay that was not perfect was the noise from people's music around the bay. Villa Amor does not have control over this.Heavy duty earplugs and noise cancelling apps help some.

This hotel is on travel blogs for good reason. After check in, you enter through lush tropical grounds next to the ocean. The friendly amd helpful staff assists you to your room, each individually named and unique. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and big enough to be there with other people and not feel crowded.
Minor things; the toilet ran, the air conditioner in our room had a bright light display. Nothing worth a bad review.

Villa Amor is a stunning hotel. We stayed in "Armonia" and the living spaces were amazing! Kitchen was great, outdoor patio was fantastic all throughout the day. Villa Amor exceeded our expectations.

Everything was great except the room, not what I expected. It was clean but very small, very unimpressive for the cost.
The room was clean but very small, very unimpressive for the cost. I saw other rooms for the same price and we feel shorted, not what the photos described.

The property is beautiful. Located right on the water, but tucked away in the jungle, you truly feel like you’re hiding out. The pool is very peaceful, although not very refreshing when it’s very hot. The grounds are well maintained the rooms are all very unique. Free surfboard rentals is a lovely perk.
We had issues with water pressure/flow every single day of our trip. Maintenance was quick to come and fix it each time, but it was kinda frustrating when there wasn’t water for a shower and you had to get dressed and head down to the front desk. There aren’t phones in the room for situations such as this. On-site restaurant is just okay and very expensive.
The front desk attendant was very unkind. It was our honeymoon and my hsuabnd’s birthday, and they didn’t respond to my emails about special services I wanted to add on. When I eventually received those package options, they were extremely expensive for what they were. We were also charged an additional fee for booking that was not disclosed beforehand. Booking.com says all taxes and fees included, and yet this wasn’t the case. After the third day of water issues, I reached out directly to booking.com and then the front desk attendant sent me an aggressive message and confronted my husband in-person, asking him to revoke my comment and to not review. I’ve stayed in all types of accommodations before from Ritz Carlton’s to $3 hostels and I don’t think I’d go back here necessarily. It’s definitely not terrible, but not what it could have been either. A little more kindness and customer service would have definitely impacted our experience. I think you can find a better experience in Sayulita for a bit cheaper and less hassle.

our villa leaked a bit during rain. my clothes. had put on the shelf in the closet were soaked. front desk got them dried for me so I could pack them.

Villa Amor was a great choice for a hotel - perfect distance from town (8ish minute walk) so you're away from any noise on the weekends, in the middle of both beaches you'd want to go to (also a quick walk) and a wonderful pool if you feel like sticking close by. Our villa was extremely well equipped, and we so appreciated having everything cleaned daily, as it was open air. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was great, and loved the air conditioned bedrooms! Having filtered water available daily was also a perfect touch.
The only thing that could have been better was a quick explanation of the locks to our villa. We had two doors - one gate to the steps, and one door to the actual villa itself that required a padlock, chain, and key. We were a little confused at first, but it was easy enough to figure it out. A quick run through upon arrival would easily fix this.

The location was great, the property was gorgeous, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
There were so many stairs we had to climb to get to our room. As we're both able bodied and in good health, it wasn't an issue but would have been nice to know when booking.
