Spacious, warm and cosy, big kitchen, close to beach. Loads of space for kids and everyone to find their own space. Good cooking facilities, various things to do locally, great views of Black Combe and sea.
Some beds a little hard, windows a bit draughty (although house plenty warm enough). Could have done with slightly more cutlery

The cottage was spacious and well equipped. It was comfortable with open fields outside and the town of Millom with shops and take aways only 2 miles away.
Attic double room only accessible through twin room and the windows in both these rooms had no blinds which was a problem as it got light at 4.45am. My daughter's asthma was bad either due to damp in the Cottage or dog hair. Booking.com description was not as full as it could have been. Sykes has more information.

Great location, away from hustle and bustle of central Lake District and short walking distance from the beach. Spacious and well equipped clean house. Extremely safe, small village location.

Remote location near the coast.
5 big bedrooms, suitable for the large family of 10 adults coming from all parts of the country for get together.
Lots of parking inside gated yard, we had 7 cars parked when other family came to visit on the Sunday afternoon. The area has a poor mobile/internet reception that ensured the phones were put to one side and people communicated the old fashioned way.
The village pub 100 yards away was closed for a refurb.

The amenities and accommodation were superb and the location is excellent both for local walks and the nearby coast. The owner was VERY helpful with titbits of advice both on the phone and by email. Enjoy your stay !
However, one tiny point -There were an abundance of flies, constantly buzzing around and disturbing. This is an issue that previous tenants have raised and should be easy to rectify.

Everything - it was so inviting and comfortable - everything you could need for a large family and dogs - the beds were so comfortable and cooking facilities were great - loved it
the door furniture needs a little attention especially the main bathroom door which is very noisy when being opened and closed, a few missing screws required on all door with some WD40 would do the trick, only minor. Also couldn’t open kitchen window . Nothing that would deter us from booking again

rustic feel of the property and large enough to accommodate our 3 generations reunion
the sign on the gate could be a little larger as i dove past the first time, because the access is from the rear but the picture is from the front of the house

Location was good. Sufficient space for 2 families. Private parking space.
Internet and phone network is bad.

The house was lovely and spacious, everything we needed for an extended family of 10 - 3 generations
Boot room was an added bonus
Great location near the shore
Stunning sunsets
Great base for the South Lakes
Horses right in front of the house
Great host - gave us lots of local information
Garden was a bit small, however we didn’t need it - an almost private beach is within easy walking distance

Very spacious, plenty of rooms. A bit old fashioned but rustic. Good level of privacy and good location, would highly recommend

Lovely house.
Hard to find farm. A large sign is needed.
