The unit and entire complex are very clean. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings watching the boats and the fish below. The deck was too hot to sit on in the afternoon. The pool area was nice and the on site restaurant had good drinks and food. We gave location a 4 star just because the actual beach area is small.

Amazing views and a great community to stay in especially if you want to be away from the city life. I suggest renting a car as it is quite a drive or you can stay near home, the pool and restaurant were amazing, the views of the sunsets were great. Mismaloya is within walking distance and has great seafood, great people, and relaxing.
Amy(hostess) was wonderful to communicate with and it was a pleasure working with her. Will see her again soon.

Saw this place when we started coming to Mismaloya several years back and wanted to try it. It was just as I expected, clean, comfortable, luxurious and well laid out, not to mention the gorgeous views.
Do yoga & swim in the morning. Fruit for breakfast. Catch up on some emails etc. Pack up for few hours at either beach or pool before heading out to PV or stroll up to the zoo or village or bus to Boca. Not bad. Nice spot.

Spectacular spot, friendly and welcoming staff and fellow guests. Safe, clean and close to some amenities. TV seemed unavailable - but that could be due to operator error! Lots to enjoy - Beautiful pool, accessible beach, and a good on-site restaurant. The PV Zoo is a nice walk, water activities available at nearby beach, and on bus route. 10 pesos ( 50 cents!) for a ride to town. Condo is several miles from the hustle & bustle of busy PV - but easy to get there via bus, taxi or Uber. Wonderful accommodations

Stay at Condominium La Jolla de Mismaloya
Lovely property; wifi needs help as the bedroom light switch is connected to the modem and lamp on nightstand in bedroom; needed to replace a lot of light bulbs as they had burned out; lots of cutlery and dishes; maid only came once, on a Tuesday, which was 2 days after we arrived so nothing to clean; lovely restaurant at Mismaloya Grill; pool was nice and clean as was hot tub; gorgeous views from balcony; lovely sunsets;

After Christmas Escape to Sunny Mexico
The staff at the condo are extremely friendly and very helpful. Probably the best part of the condo was the amazing view of the Mismaloya bay. We spent many hours from dawn to sunsets on the deck watching all the action down below. We could even see the fish swimming around without having to go in the water snorkeling. I
The pool area is a great place to spend reading a book and checking out the action in the bay with boats coming and going.
The wifi in the condo unit goes in and out. We ended up using the wifi for the condo association since it was a little more reliable.

FELT LIKE 'COMING HOME' !!
Just back from another great stay in La Jolla De Mismaloya Condominio. We were warmly greeted by 'staff' and our condo felt like home.....The extensive exterior renos started last spring have been completed and look great. Well done! The flowers and plants, in general, were lovely. A big Thank You to Jose! Approx. 2-3 hours per day were spent on our balcony, with our binoculars in hand and camera at the ready.....getting reacquainted with the resident iguanas, fish, birds and beach life! Always something to watch or check out. The Mismaloya Grill gets better every year; thank you Pablo & helpers. Local bus fares have gone up 2 pesos to 10 pesos per ride; still a good deal if you don't have a rental car or want to take a taxi. Not much 'negative' to report but really would like to see Recycling include more than just beverage containers and paper! Baby steps. Internet service continues to be sporadic but English- speaking TV (for news junkies like my hubby) more than compensates! A couple of suggestions, in general, especially for Canadians. ATM machines offer good rates for Cdn $$$ to Pesos, so no need to go overboard prior to your trip. Also, always pay in Pesos. It works out to be a far better deal, in the end. A big thank you to Amy for handling our rental. She's always prompt with answers to questions and/or requests.
All in all, a wonderful experience if you're wanted a relaxing, safe place to stay.....yet only a bus ride away from the 'excitement' of PV!

Great place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay immensely! From watching the fish, stingrays and dolphins right off of the deck to swimming in the pool. This property is very clean, perfectly located and very comfortable. Thank you!

Overpaid for this condo, and having TERMITES did not help the stay of 5 weeks!
Upon arriving at the condo the place needed a good cleaning so when I called for maid service they said I needed to wait until Tuesday because that was her cleaning day! So no I DID NOT LOVE IT! I have been in Mismaloya for about 15 years and this is the first time I felt I overpaid for such low class conditions.

NO NEED TO LEAVE YOUR BALCONY!!
Just back from a fabulous stay in this great condo, and have dozens of pictures to affirm this condo's great location within the complex. Iguanas in the tree canopy, fish galore in the waters below, birds entertaining us with their antics, boats heading out/coming back from their latest adventures, various other ocean & beach activities, including folks visiting the site of the Night of the Iguana movie set..... There's no need to leave your balcony if you've got your camera & binoculars! If you do feel the urge to join the fish, just don your snorkel gear and explore, without leaving the bay!
When venturing into town, just hop on the local bus (8 pesos each, one way); cabs, too, are always an option. Stroll into the village of Mismaloya to buy most of your provisions; you'll be surprised at the variety available! A nearby stand offers fresh fruit, at a reasonable price. Speaking of food....the "Mismaloya Grill" is located on the condo property. Enjoy a tasty dinner without leaving home.
Having stayed in a different building, on a prior visit, my husband and I agree that we prefer this condo's location, despite the lack of elevator. Folks with mobility issues might be challenged at times, however.
Overall, this condo met or exceeded all our needs & wants. The extra bathroom was a bonus
and the well-provisioned kitchen made 'eating in' a pleasure. Mexican artwork adorns the walls; colourful and a nice touch! Living-room furniture was comfy and yes, TV in English, and free Wi-Fi are rather nice. The bedroom is very spacious, with lots of storage. The king-size bed was a tad firm but we soon got used to it!
The entire complex, including the pool and pool deck, received a major renovation and upgrade during this past summer. Now the complex is 'accessible', for the most part, and features 2 fountains, painted and mosaic murals, and 2 new 'palapas'.....providing much needed shade. Well done!
The staff at "La Jolla de Mismaloya Condominio" was as great as ever......helpful, friendly, and easy-going. Booking our 5 week vacation was very easy; Amy answered our emails within a few hours, at most. Thank you!
How much did we enjoy our stay? So much so that we're already booked for next year!

We booked #4705 last minute for six nights in April. The condo was perfect for the three of us. The location & views are SPECTACULAR. The ocean is right below the deck of the condo and affords bird & fish watching and some of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen. Condo has everything you need including a full selection of spices. The entire La Jolla de Mismaloya complex is very organized, clean, safe & welcoming. We played tennnis every morning on the ocean side court and ventured to the beach for lunch and massages. The pool (and its location) remind me of the French Rivera and the owners & guests were all fun to chat with.Only two minor complaints: the unit sleeps four, but two of the beds are sofas in the living room (not a sofa bed). Sleeping on the sofa was not ideal for an adult, but would be fine for a child. Also, the street noise behind the bedroom is quite loud. I built a pillow wall against the windows every night which solved the problem. Bring ear plugs if your sensitive to noise while sleeping. There are several GREAT restaurants in Mismaloya within five min (super easy & cheap) taxi right. The front desk staff is always available to help with arranging taxis very quickly. Restaurants - Tony's Hideaway, El Jacalito and Le Kliff. Be sure and grab groceries in PV as there are limited supplies in Mismaloya. There is also no longer an ATM is Mismaloya so be sure and have cash on hand or stop in PV. Speaking of PV - again, super easy taxi ride (10-15 minutes) along the coast. Loved the unit, complex and beautiful Mismaloya. Look forward to returning to this hidden gem soon. PS - Amy is super efficient and easy to communicate with and provided a great booklet with very thorough information about the condo and all of PV.

La Jolla de Mismaloya
This place is a jewel. Located 10 miles south of Puerto Vallarta, it is a 15-20 minute bus ride that has spectacular views of Banderas Bay, ocean, Los Arcos and the city. The pool is wonderful, condos all have balconies overlooking the ocean, and Pablo operates the Mismaloya Grill on the premises which offers gourmet dining, spectacular sunsets over the ocean and surrounding Sierra Madres. A school of clown fish lives under my balcony. The only shortcoming is spotty wi-fi, so check with your owner before booking.

Great views and comfort
There is no elevator in building 7 but this condo is on the same level as the street so you don't have to climb up and down stairs. A comfortable apartment but all the mirrors are somewhat disconcerting! There is a kettle - yay, but no dish washer. Fabulous view of the bay and beyond.

Wold recommend this property to everyone.

Very Nice Property
The property is as described: Comfortable one bedroom , well decorated and great bed; view of "Night of Iguana" film site and Bay from lanai; manager and staff are friendly, responsive and helpful; maid service; excellent restaurant on the complex (try the coconut shrimp and pistachio ice cream!); pool and jacuzzi; and easy access to Old Town by bus or taxi. We especially recommend a trip to the non-profit and expanding Botanical Gardens, a short distance away: Nice gardens, and it has a super restaurant with great food, service, and views.

Your "Dream Home" away from home!
This was my most recent stay and I have to say it was better than ever. The condo has always been beautifully maintained
and the staff is second to none! The completion of the road
construction made traveling to and from P.V. comfortable and
worry free ( and I choose the bus more often than not ). The
village of Mismaloya has evolved over the last 15 years into
a thriving and enjoyable destination for guests. I've visited the
zoo, the tequilarias, many of the restaurants and the various
markets just a short distance from the condo. On the beach
you could take a water taxi to your destination of choice or
just spend some time at the palapas. I, however, spend most
of my leisure time at the pool! The view is amazing and you
are bound to meet people happy to share their knowledge of
the area and suggest dining and entertainment options.
I am always sure to pick up my "essentials" on my way from the airport (beer,rice,cheese,eggs,tortillas,vegetables,etc..) for those days when staying "home" is what I choose to do. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need and the appliances are new. If you are fortunate enough to
visit when Maria Bonita is open, they deliver to your condo.

Great place to stay! Nice location.
This condo and complex has everything that you need for a GREAT vacation! The view from the outside private deck is fantastic! The condo is nicely decorated and includes everything you would have at your own home. The pool is large with a jacuzzi, and is never very crowded. Lot's of deck chairs and tables. The staff is very friendly and they know us by name, as we have been coming here every year. Located just a short taxi or city bus ride away from town. No need for a car, as buses and taxis are very inexpensive and plentiful. Great value for the quality and location of the property.

Stunning view - lovely condo - great price.
We were so lucky to find this condo - great view of the ocean, 2 full bathrooms, large bedroom ; great kitchen. There's a restaurant at the pool. Everyone is so friendly. Close to Puerto Vallarta, but far enough away not to have the noise.
