The barn is gorgeous and incredibly well equipped. There were so many beautiful places to walk the dog. My highlight was that there were varied dog walks direct from the property. But definitely the highlight for my daughter was that she was able to help Louise groom and feed her horses every evening. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Thank you

Delightful high standard barn conversion with excellent hosts.

Delightful high standard barn conversion with excellent hosts. Slight weaknesses : no direct access to the lakeside path but overcome by a steep up and down walk; the two bathrooms are not ensuite but they are lovely. Ability to hire out various boats from local activity centre is a huge plus but check what days it's open. Very private. We had a fantastic week and could easily rebook.

Harewood Barn is a beautiful barn conversion situated down a single track lane on the edge of Wimbleball lake. The barn very comfortable and is really well equipped for families or a group of friends. The owners live on site and were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive in anyway and offered advice on the surrounding area. We spent most of our week long stay walking and all our routes were direct from the barn and took you either round the lake, over the moors or across the countryside. It is a beautiful place to explore and very dog friendly, the barn also has a small drying room for wet gear and a doggy hairdryer ( which we used a number of times). Their is an activity centre half a mile up the lane (easily walkable) which provides a wide range of water sports at reasonable rates, our daughters went kayaking and we were impressed with the friendly staff and safety. Within an hours drive are lots of places worth visiting such as Dunster with its castle and beautiful grounds or Lynton and Lynmouth, both quaint seaside towns. The nearest shop is a small community shop in Brompton Regis which is about 11/2 miles away, you can walk to it over the fields if you don’t want to drive. We would highly recommend Harewood Barn it was the perfect base for a relaxing week away from it all.

A wonderful stay.
A wonderful stay.
A wonderful stay. Excellent facilities and friendly and extremely helpful hosts in the farmhouse. They went above and beyond when we had problems and had to put our transport into a garage, picked us up from town and got us home then ferried us to Taunton the next day to get a hire car home. Even helped us with transport to pick up the car the following week. Outstanding hosts.

What a lovely cottage.
What a lovely cottage.
What a lovely cottage. We rented this as a base for a family get together to celebrate our Dad's 70th birthday and it didn't disappoint. The barn is finished to a very high standard and is extremely spacious and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully designed and having a completely enclosed garden was a real bonus for letting our golden retriever roam freely around. It was lovely to be able to sit outside in the morning and evenings and enjoy a few days of British summertime especially with the BBQ provided with charcoal and lighters! The owners were extremely friendly and very helpful for anything needed - their 4 dogs were also lovely and enjoyed lots of cuddles. Wimbleball lake is very close and a lovely place to spend a few hours enjoying the outdoors. Would highly recommend this cottage
