Bien ubicado pero el cuarto es muy pequeño y no es una experiencia agradable.

Buena ubicación y recepcionista amable. Nos dejó hacer el check in antes. Está bien para solo llegar a dormir ya que no se puede existir dentro de la habitación normalmente porque es muy pequeña.

El baño huele muy mal. Se escucha mucho ruido durante la noche. No hay espacio para caminar dentro de la habitación.

Good Location. Nice staff. Tram was very close. Big room for Amsterdam.

You could hear the Tram and the Traffic Lights in the night. Bathroom was a little dirty.

Pretty good location

No lift access and stairs are dangerously steep (assuming much of Ámsterdam is the same). The stag allowed hotel guests from a different rim to charge to my account and then ignore all my messages when asking them to rectify the issue

Nada

Hello, unfortunately It wasn't such a pleasant stay due to the following: 1) no bikes available, eventhough mentioning cicling activities on the booking site for this hotel. 2) I asked for rooms to be closer, nevertheless they were on separate floors and opposite direcions 3) the bigger Room located on the roof floor, had a horrible Smell coming from the toilet, as If It wasn't properly cleaned 4) the bigger Room had no fridge and also the windows Lock was broken. The curtains did not shut properly the light. 5) the hotel had lots of material laying on the stairs making It even more difficult the access UP and down. 6) Showers on both rooms spread water on the toilet floors, no proper Doors inside.

It was a great getaway spot that's away from city center

Very welcoming hotel and staff, accommodating to needs if necessary and helpful with guiding guests to various spots such as zoos or parks even cafes

The no smoking policy is very strict but I still obliged to avoid getting fined or worse from the property5

Comfy budget hotel

We had to book this due to a cancelled flight & ended up staying for 3 nights. It's a small, budget hotel with basic rooms. We had a comfortable stay and the reception staff are brilliant! Very friendly, relaxed place, right opposite Amsterdam Zoo. 10 minute tram from outside the hotel takes you to central city.

Good and clean room, new toilet. Extremely hot inside despite fan. Rusty entrance.

The location. (it has very good places to eat across the street and grab a drink) The spacious room and renovated toilet. They made the room and changed towels in our short two day stay.

The room was abnormally hot. Like, really hot! Even with the fan on all night it was a struggle to sleep. Very thin walls. The tram is a bit loud and it goes all night (at least for the weekend).

Pleasant Surprise

Based on the reviews, my expectations were relatively moderate, but the accommodation was perfectly OK. Yes, the stairs are a bit too steep, and rooms probably have varying quality furniture and other facilities but then again - my room looked great. Specifically, there was no issue with room cleanliness or any smell, as some comments mention. I did enjoy the stay.

The hotel is close to the zoo and so you can hear bears bangin late at night. Just turn around and sleep.

We had two rooms. One corner room which was beautiful. But the other room has windows only to inner cortyard - shaft indeed - and was pretty horrible.

no mirror in room there was no place to put the clothes-closet missing steep stairs for some people could be problem- no elevator in mornings tram sounds is waking you up

Delighted

Location was very convenient, short walk to centre with shops and cafes near by. Comfy beds and nice bathroom. They ask for keys to be left at reception, which takes the stress out of your trip :)

When we booked our hotel it looked lovely from the outside, it wasn’t lovely. No bar, no restaurant.

Location, tram service. Location was very good.

The entrance to hotel, the stairs in the hotel. The smell of air freshener in room and bathroom, masked the smell from the room. No restaurant, no bar, nothing that could make you enjoy a stay in a hotel after traveling from abroad.

A good couple of days in a nice cosy well-situated hotel.

A lovely building in a great location opposite Artis Zoo. The area has plenty of cafes and restaurants and has a friendly vibe with easy public transport. Room was large and well-equipped, large bed. Free hot drinks at reception and coffee maker in room. Left luggage no problem when waiting for room or getting breakfast in a cafe (for instance).

Bathroom small but everything worked OK. Common areas very scruffy. Be aware that stairs are VERY steep even by Amsterdam standards.

Good location to stay, don’t allow the other reviews to put you off as I thought after I booked

Nice new looking bathroom with good water pressure and no lack of hot water. Nice selection of shops and places to eat locally, so no issue getting food before you head out in the evening. Friendly check in staff Room temp afire ranged from ok to too hot, not an issue for end of winter.

No security checks on handing out keys, 1 of the group was able to get the key on a number of occasions despite not being present for check in Carpets do need an upgrade in the room, as many tiles not glued to the floor.
