It was a lovely comfortable Hotel. Had a heated pool, spa facilities which were nice. It was very nice. The staff were so lovely too! So pleasant, kind and nice.
They have food vending machines in the hallways if you looking for bottled water or snacks after hours however both weren’t working properly. Couldn’t get any water and reception doesn’t sell any.

The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't a shoe box, over all I would say the staff were great and it was a good place to stay, I wish that I'd had time for breakfast I have heard that it is very good.
I did not like the fact that anyone can up to the rooms the lift should only be able to be used with a swipe card in my view, It would have made me feel a bit safer, I also think for the price there should be complimentary biscuits and water or something I have travelled a lot and this is the first time I have come across this.

Good stay, rooms are getting a bit old and need so updating, bathroom was small and had the shower in the bath.
But overall it was a good stay.
Shower in the bath.

Good location, although we were unaware that everything closed at 9pm on a Sunday

The beds were like sleeping on a cloud.
There weren't many tea bags supplied in the room and no glasses or saucers/small plates. There was no furniture on the balcony and only one chair in the room. The hotel brought a second chair up on request. The phone was disconnected so we had to go down to reception for any requests.

Good entrance and reception area - Pool and spa facilities
We stayed in Room 4407- This bathroom was not in a good condition with black mildew on the walls and towel rack. The bedroom linen was stained and torn . The furniture in the room was old and not well maintained.

Nice place
Beds were pretty rough to sleep on. Quite bad roll together. Possibly due for replacement

Well located.
A very tired property. Straight out of the 1980's. Over priced for what it is.
Our room had peeling paint, mould around the bath, lights not working and hopeless A/C....Which we were told was because the sun was shining on our windows! Would never stay here again.

Location is really good and also the lobby area is nice.
The room we stayed was not as per the standard. Room was dusty and also the bathroom was all mouldy and also the exhaust was not working. looks like it was set up again up to the standard after last guest left that room

Great location
Room wasn't very clean, there was a half eaten Kiwifruit beside one of the beds. The fire alarm went off twice on Saturday night starting at midnight, 40minutes apart. Apparently something faulty. No apologies given. The decor is very dated, would have been modern in the 80s

We weren't very happy about be disturbed by two fire evacuations during the night especially when my wife hade just run the marathon. And no offer of compensation. Also being told by a waitress that others had been waiting longer than us after we queried politely how long our meal was going to be when we were waiting for about 40 minutes wasn't really what we were expecting.

The view from the window was spectacular and the hotel was well located in easy walk to shops, cafes and restaurants.
When we arrived at check in time none of the rooms were ready, we had to wait over an hour before the rooms was ready to check in. During this time we were largely ignored and not even an apology was offered. The room was small, tired and desperately needed a refurb. The dinner in the restaurant - which was not cheap- was very average.

Family of 5 stayed between two rooms, our request to be next to each other was met. We booked the superior lake facing rooms. Beds were super comfrotable, bathrooms although a bit old were clean and satisfactory for our needs. Buffet breakfast was fantastic, staff running it were also great, quality control was carried out a few times whilst we were there with food not up to par. Dined at Nikau restaurant twice during our stay and the food was fantastic both times. I believe you get what you pay for at this hotel and if you can spend a bit more for one of the lake facing rooms or higher graded.
Unfortunately the mini fridge in one of the rooms was not cold, in fact it was warm. Thankfully the fridge next door was cold and able to be used to store babies needs. Housekeeping were around late in the afternoon which at times was awkward when getting ready for dinner etc, nothing against the ladies as they were super friendly and did a fantastic job.

Bit tired in all respects. Too expensive for the quality.

We loved the location and beautiful internal garden and that they had facilities to store our mountain bikes. The Spa complex was beautiful and clean.
Don't get me wrong, I really like this motel but a little bit of fine tuning is required to live up to the really awesome first impression you get as you walk in the door.
I could not find a luggage trolley. No body offered to help me (I am 57 year old lady) with a very heavy bag, containing lots of mountain bike gear.
If I had realised the distance to the room I would have asked. So I had to lug my back across the foyer and then across the bridge to the room, quite some distance away. This actually hurt me as I had a fall and haven't recovered fully. And then back again on checkout. Apparently they have them (trolleys) hidden away somewhere.
If I had not enquired, I would not know and I was thinking I would not book again because of this.
Strange to have a phone call at 9.15pm approx. enquiring about our room. It was a nice gesture, but perhaps a little late.
Bar area looked lovely, but was not open. Maybe this is off season.
Room needed a little repair to damaged cabinet front and someone had left a sticker stuck to top of it, which I removed. Cleaners could have done this.
Grout in bathroom needs cleaning/tidying up. No hairdryer or power socket to plug it into.
I know motels don't have compendiums anymore, but i like them. It is quite a large motel and it would have been great to have a floor plan showing where everything is.
