It was very good
Nothing everything was perfect

The owner is a welcoming and kind person, the terrace is beautiful and you are free to stay there and work with a beautiful view and meet the other host! The apartment was absolutely clean and beautiful, you can feel the soul of the Monasterio.
I didn't like the fact that there is no possibility to do waste sorting and the cleaning products are super chemical! It will be nice to have this possibility to preserve the beautiful place and not pollute it further. We need more sustainability !

Very nice place , I love it

Superb apartment with great view over the sea, very helpful and friendly host. Peaceful and relaxing place away from tourists with great facilities, free parking.
Mattress and pillows need to be replaced as not so comfy and would rate 10 if that been taken care of and changed but don't underestimate as perfect place, spotless and great for cooking with facilities and with outstanding view from apartment and quietness in area.

The location is perfect - and it was great to have free parking nearby. Also, the apartment space is good - a wonderful view from the balcony, big bathroom, adequately equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space. Good value for money. Also, the town itself is gorgeous.
I am not normally a complainer, but there was an awful smell, which seemed to emanate from the bathroom. Possibly sewage-related? And obviously something had been sprayed in the apartment to cover the smell, but that just smelled like a chemical spray and it didn’t last. We couldn’t open the windows, so had to open the doors and it was a cold evening, so it was a choice: live with the smell or be cold. I have read other reviews that mentioned the smell, so it’s clearly an ongoing problem that needs to be fixed. Also, the Wi-Fi is not great. Slow and limited.

spacious
car park free
walking distance to the town center
For the price we paid there is not much to complain about.
Tenerife is pretty expensive to stay

Nice setting abd beautiful old house with amazing terrace. There was old monastery here. The flat has everything you need. Good parking. Over 500 channels on TV.

The host was very friendly. Everything organised very well. He responded very quickly, when we had any question.
Dogs are welcome. Maybe there should be some special plates ezc. available to feed them.

Nice view from the terrace and easy access to national road to visit all attractions in Tenerife. The complex is located in a silent position and rooms are equipped to live an independent experience. The owner very kind and when he gave me the keys he has always used the face mask. Wide private parking available and restaurants/shopping mall at 5 minutes by car.

Quiet, cozy place. Apartments in Spanish style.
The furniture and bed smell very specific. It was not comfortable for us to be there and sleep

The host was really nice, talkative and really took his time showing us around, very helpful and kind man. The place where the appartment is located is nice, near the town, easy to reach. The apartment is spacey, but lacks some cleanliness unfortunately- it was more or less clean, fresh sheets and towels, bathroom was also clean with fresh toilet paper, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The only thing that ruins it quite alot is huge amount of worms and spiders outside.
For us the main problem in the apartment were tiny worms that were all around the place, don’t get me started on how many there were on the terrace. It was somehow unbearable, we had to buy anti insect spray but it still didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there. For that reason it’s basically impossible to get fresh air in as you have to be very careful to not let any worms or insects in by chance. And since this was a monastery back in the day it still smells of incense. The smell wouldn’t be that bad if one could freely let the fresh air in. A lit candle in the evening helps:)

location was awesome and apartment was perfect.
Walking uphill with groceries wasn’t the easiest but it didn’t take too long. Taxi is $4.50 from the store so it worked out fine. I suggest a taxi when you have groceries.

An interesting quirky appartment. The shared roof terrace was large with lots of chairs and lovely views to the mountains and down to the sea. The converted monastery was a unique place to stay, and the owners had retained a lot of the original characted. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was fine.
There was a busy road which you could hear from the roof terrace but could not be heard from the apartment.

Affable greeting, nooks and some charm.
Somewhat isolated - both in rooms and location, also layout and mindset. All 15 TV channels in German.

We liked very much view from our balcony on the country, ocean, villages. Far from resorts. We have lived on Tenerife in real town bettween local people. And also we liked our house in local style. And all time it was quiete house.

the view is amazing as is the place it’s self, the only thing is if you don’t have a car there isn’t really a bus stop near by

Excelent location, to move east to la Laguna and Anaga and west to Teno and Teide , in a quite part of the island, up to the hill, in the middle of the northern part of Tenerife. Accessible through a steep road raising sharply from the center of the village. The area has many local attractions too and a nice beach down to the see. Very helpful and gentle host, and very beautiful veranda. Spacious apartment.

Great location although slightly further up the hill but the roof terrace is beautiful with loads of plants and chairs for sitting and watching the sunset/stars/planets. Heiko was a superb host, he has really set the standard for great accommodation in Icod de Los Vinos having reliable Wi-Fi in rooms and on roof terrace. My family stayed in more expensive places in the town nearby but Apartmentos Monasterio beat them hands down! Will definitely stay here again at some point in the future.
If you’re not used to walking up steep hills with luggage then get a taxi from bus station as it’s pretty hard going up the hill especially for the elderly. Apart from that minor issue we couldn’t find any fault with the accommodation at all. We loved it so much it was our first choice when we extended our stay but was sadly fully booked 😭

Lovely peaceful location overlooking the sea with friendly staff & free parking, ideal for someone who wants a quiet place to just chill & take in a proper taste of Spanish living. The room I had was clean & basic, just what I needed as I used this location as a base for my exploration of the island.
Navigating around the monastery at night could be tricky as lighting didn't always activate. Luckily I had torches to hand as i was spending most of my time out & about exploring the island.

Friendly happy ?owner welcomed us at the door. Helped with bags.
Quirky. Comfy beds. Colourful. Lovely old building with courtyard plantings.
Communal roof terrace. 2 ring hob. Decent hot shower. WiFi. Panel heaters as it was chilly. Soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste provided. And dishwashing things. Would stay again
Needs thicker cushions on the sofa and chair and a couple of scatter cushions for comfort. Stairs up to roof terrace quite steep. Very steep walk up from bus station. Get a taxi! Under 4 €. Well worth it. Good views though.

The town is very beautiful, and the apartment has a perfect view both to the mountains and the sea. It is a very romantic gem, definitely worth the visit. The owner is very helpful and professional.

It was the best host that I have ever had, very gentle, always helpful, responsive and well-prepared. The place itself is what you can expect for this price - it has a nice rooftop terrace, if you have a car you can easily reach many places and beaches. The area is very calm and quiet, no noise at all. The host provided me with a cable network connection so that I could work remotely without any problem. There is also a parking "area" on the street.
The apartment was well-equiped, had kitchen, bathroom, TV, a lot of space.
The apartment we had was quite dark, even with lights on you have to sometimes use the light in the phone. Also the humidity inside is not really a pleasant thing.
