We felt very welcome, the staff was so friendly, Maria at the reception had great advice and was always helpfull, thanks for everything! Location was great, beautyful view. We had all privacy and rest we needed. The breakfast and facilities were perfect. The private beach was lovely.

Magnificent vista, terrific room, beautiful pool in our villa. But it’s the people that made this sing. Delightful, interested, interesting, helpful. Particularly Aris and Sophie.

The Elounda Gulf Villas felt a total scam. All the nice photos with the nice pools are from private villas. The common facilities look very different from those photos. The mentioned gym was basically two machines in a small room (a treadmill and a rowing machine) and the spa was a sauna with a jacuzzi. These don’t make for a gym and a spa. The suite was an old looking suite. It was just ok. Not a wow place and not so good to justify 350euros/night.
Private beach was nothing special, a bit boring with no music. The worst part was the charging of drinks at that private beach. An Amstel beer from a can costed 7 euros. For those who don’t know, Amstel beer is the workers beer in Greece and it costs 80 cents to buy it from the super market. Therefore, I wouldn’t be expecting an Amstel beer can in a place that boasts “luxury”. If they do sell it, then why charge 7 euros for it??
Total waste of money for this place and felt totally misled and scammed for a place that overcharges for rooms and drinks in the name of “luxury”. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
There was really nothing special about this place in order to justify the overcharge of everything. Total waste of money.
Elounda is a beautiful place wherever you go, so don’t waste money on these so called “resorts” that only look to drain you from your money.
We had an amazing time at Plaka beach with absolutely amazing cocktails and drinks reasonably priced. Not like this hotel’s private beach and rest of the facilities. Avoid this place at all costs.

Everyone was nice but the kitchen staff was spectacular. The star of the show in my opinion was Manos, who seemed to be the head waiter. His simple presence uplifted the entire restaurant. His wording, even in a second language, made the atmosphere graceful and you felt provided for without pretention. So much warmth and so professional. The waitress Sofia would pick up crying children (with approval of parents of course) and welcome everyone warmly. The food of course was also good, as well as the rest of the staff. thank you!

The size of the room was generous.
We stayed in the Plaka room. The beds were very uncomfortable, the comforter was nothing but a hard sheet on all beds. There were lots of mosquitos in the room. The pool was dirty so we didnt even use it. The bathroom - shower specifically had a strange design and was hard to use.

We stayed for 6 days at Elounda Gulf Villas and got upgraded to a Junior suite. The suite was beautiful, with a private pool, big smart tv and a lovely view of Elounda. All the staff was super friendly and helpful, we loved the breakfast and the garden too. We also appreciated the local drink and sweets that we found in our room when we arrived.
The bedroom and the bathroom have glas walls on the side of the sea which allows you to look at the view at any time, which we really liked. Of course in the morning there is some sunlight in the bedroom despite the blinds, so if you can't sleep with light you better take an eye mask with you as we did.
More maintenance would be needed.
There were two pillows, one thicker than the other, an even thinner or softer one would be needed though.
Water was not provided on a daily basis.

Spacious suites in lovely setting. Excellent staff and service.
Some minor maintenance issues like door on toilet not closing properly should have been picked up considering the room rates.

Rooms comfortable, air con good, buggy transport, restaurant vibe, pool vibes, chilled music, lovely to eat in for evening and breakfast.
Wine choice was limited and hugely over priced for average wine which was disappointing. A few check in difficulties - not informative enough - and weren’t advised to rush to restaurant as it was closing so struggled to eat on arrival, couldn’t work out resort layout or get help with that, eventually having found out we’d missed restaurant last orders by 4 minutes we had to get back up to room for room service ... by then had very hangry family.

The place is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The staff at the hotel is very kind and the service we got was excellent. The beach is a bit far, drive distance, but it’s worth it. The big disappointment was that on our last day, while we were packing we find out that we are missing a lot of money, money that we knew that we put in the safe. At the beginning it was hard to believe that someone actually opened the safe and stole the money, but when we arrived to the airport we discovered that money was stolen also from the passport case. We reported immediately to the manager of the hotel, and the answer we got was that they are not responsible for loss of money. So eventually after 6 days of great time we left with a big disappointment and heavy feelings.

Beautiful room and exceptionally clean. Staff were all extremely professional and friendly. The beach was a 10 min drive away but it’s a beautiful spot and very very peaceful.
Very expensive food and beverages.

The hotel did a great job in protecting the health of its guests. A few things did not work upon our arrival such as the fridge and the door lock. I believe these incidents are rare and it was just bad luck. The hotel offered us a complimentary late check-out which we really appreciated.

Such a wonderful hotel, we couldn’t fault it. Would definitely recommend. We stayed in the one bedroom executive spa villa. The view is incredible and villa is very spacious

The owner welcomes you in this beautiful place perched on a hill, with an amazing sea view from the rooms as from the refreshing overflow swimming-pool.
The rooms are big and very confortable (with a pleasant surprise of a complementary bottle of wine in your fridge!), the breakfast offers and extensive range of continental and local delicacies, and the staff will do the outmost to make your stay an unforgettable and safe experience.
The last night we enjoyed a fine dinner of delicious fish dishes.
And cherry on the cake : you have access to a small, cute and discreet private beach, where a hotel's shuttle van will drive you on demand!
What else ?!...
Everything was perfect!
